  1. My first comment regarding Brown was more tongue-in-cheek than anything. It just figures that it would happen that the Bears would give up on someone due to injury and then watch him excel somewhere else and remain completely healthy. Football is a strange beast when it comes to injuries, and Brown has certainly showed that the injury bug can be extremely unpredictable and streaky. As for replacing Brown in the secondary, its gonna be extremely difficult. In my perfect world, the Bears would be able to snake manchild extraordinaire Adrian Wilson away from the Arizona Cardinals on the cheap because his season also ended in injury(heel injury that required surgery) and then draft a safety in the mid rounds and hope that Payne can stay healthy, Manning continues to make strides, and McGowan can stay healthy. I wouldnt mind seeing Brown with an incentive laden deal based on games played, either.
  2. You must be forgetting that McGowan spent a majority of the last two years on the IR as well, and lets not forget that Payne is on the IR too. Replace an injury prone player with more injury prone players(who cannot even hold Browns jock). Makes sense
  3. We all know when that happens, Brown goes somewhere(probably the Patriots) and has a completely healthy and productive year.
  4. Its gonna be Rex unless Rex wants to start over somewhere else. The Bears arent going to trade for McNabb without really overpaying(which isnt their style) The Bears arent going to pay through the nose for Derek Anderson Rex is heads and tails better than the rest of the free agent quarterbacks. The only other option would be if some QB was waived out of the blue and the Bears want to give him a shot, but situations like that rarely work out favorably
  5. Its amazing how much that percentage has changed from last year to this year. Last year the defense said they didnt play cover-2 hardly at all(around the 20 percent i quoted). Now they are totally going overboard with it, and look at the result: Top 10 defense to the 29th ranked defense. Bob Babich, calling Bob Babich. Your escape vehicle is ready.
  6. You heard your percentages wrong then. I heard them say around 20 percent or less. This number keeps changing of course, but I have never heard it up around 75 percent
  7. Im not going to hang all of the lack of offensive production on Grossman. Poor Oline play, RB play, WR drops, playcalling have contributed to a pretty bad offense period. Grossman was much more efficient than Griese when he returned, that is all I think Anderson is pretty much a pipedream, the Bears arent going to pay through the nose to get Anderson from Cleveland.
  8. They are verifying that they are indeed NOT gay individuals
  9. Rex only threw 1 interception after he came back in 3 1/2 games. Griese really surprised me with some awful interceptions in his time as a starter, particularly in the Red zone.
  10. Hmmm, apparently she forgot removing her own pants
  11. Why dont athletes use condoms? Is it really that difficult?
  12. And why is that? That was a well thought out, referenced, and cited determination of Rex's abilities as a QB. All of us should be so good at evaluating Talent. Angelo should take notes. If he did, they would look like this: Draft day 1 Draft board 1. Player A tendencies - sort of gay, not too much. conclusion- draftable, but may become "flexi" in the future 2. Player B tendencies - Not good. Looked at me funny during the interview. Didnt like it at all conclusion- Stay away! 1. Player C tendencies - Should probably trade away this pick. The entire 3rd round looks like it is full of gay individuals conclusion- trade down. Better chance of manly men in the next round or draft
  13. The thing is, Kennedy was never one of Lovie's "guys". He is a large, not so fast, run stuffing tackle. Thats really not the type that the Tampa-2 defense needs, and Lovie actually said a couple of remarks about how Kennedy was not his type of player when he left St Louis to be the head coach of the Bears. Hopefully we can see a somewhat trimmer Kennedy making a nice impact in the line not unlike Alphonso Boone did.
  14. From what I have heard, Kennedy isn't going to get much, if any playing time on Monday night because he isn't really in "game shape" yet, and doesnt know the playbook very well. The good thing is that supposedly he is in pretty good shape, since weight has been an issue for him.
  15. Why would that be? Its not like Rex is a scrambling QB, if he can plant and throw he should be fine. Its not like we all gush about Rex's escapability He has none.
  16. i wonder if Angelo would have more of the decision of who would replace Turner over Lovie Smith. The last two coaching personnel decisions were made by Lovie and havent really worked out(Babich is somewhat debatable., Turner). And Lovie's two choices for OC were Shea and Turner, which isnt exactly a great track record. Does Angelo stay true and continue to let Lovie choose his guys, or does Angelo become proactive and choose someone he thinks would be a better fit?
  17. Does anyone besides myself think that it is irresponsible for Minnesota to be playing Peterson with a torn LCL? Isnt there extra stress on the remaining ligaments? The kid is one good hit away from being out for quite some time and possibly losing some steps, keeping him out there with a pretty good backup in Chester Taylor just seems like a bad idea to me, playoff scenario or not.
  18. Mmmk. We have hijacked this thread long enough. You are wrong because I say so and I am wrong because you say so. Im moving along, this thread isnt about Olin Kreutz. Dude
  19. Who said I was upset, dude? Especially about Tait moving to RT, I could give two sh#ts about that. You are wrong, that is all, dude. Listen dude, your logic of "watch the skins game" is just about as sensible as "he is damn good". Except for one thing, Kreutz is a 6 time pro bowler. Sure dude, you can say it is by reputation, and you always will because thats the only way you can justify it to yourself. Dude, Its hard to quantify a center being great because they don't make tackles, catch or throw passes, or do many things that can be seen on a stat sheet(dude). So you go off of opinions of people in the NFL, talking heads, and watch the game. Strange thing is that I hear announcers say he is one of the best in football, I hear radio shows and read publications saying he is one of the greatest in the league, and then on top of that I see him voted in by reputation as a pro bowler, meaning that many many fans feel he is one of the greatest as well, and then I watch the game and I see Terrence Metcalf getting pushed back like a ninny, John Tait and Fred Miller competing for the most false start penalties, and Robert Garza hiding in the line. And I see Olin Kreutz running back and forth making multiple blocks. But he is the bad one, dude. But then we have you, dude, telling me he is not and telling me "Dude, watch the skins game". And thats the logic I get. Yes, you know me so well, dude.
  20. What does the rest of the FA Wide receiver group look like? Whatever we think he is worth is pretty much moot. You have to look at where he falls compared to the rest of the group to get a good idea of what he is going to make. There is no way I believe he is a top 10 WR, but he sure as hell might get paid like one.
  21. hmmm. Dude, Im not the only one saying he is damn good. And besides that, you arent the only one watching the games, watching the lines. I watch them too, and I routinely see Miller and Tait get blown off the ball, and have to watch Kreutz take on two defenders. The guy is and always will be a beast And as for you "hitting home" because I am a "HUGE" Kreutz fan, lmao. You know me so well. I love your one example and one game of how Kreutz is SO bad. wonderful. Show me more examples of how Kreutz is so bad besides "go watch the skins game/repeat" Get used to the sarcasm. And talk to my buddy Chitownfan. You guys will get along fine
  22. Thats pretty much what i saw too. But we are all wrong about Kreutz. Clearly we should watch the Skins game because that was lost because of Olin Kreutz. And Tait makes good blocks, so he must be kept. Lets all forget situations like the Giants game where the Bears were in the red zone and Miller and Tait made back to back false start penalties that put the Bears out of range. That was clearly Olin Kreutz fault as well, because he was pointing and stuff.
  23. I forgot, the Skins game is the only game that Olin Kreutz has played, and thus we should judge him on this one game. No, Rex's injury was on Metcalf. Go watch the game again
