I understand how the process works. Im just saying its easy to pick these people apart based on a recent "iq" test applied to the players. I cant even imagine if I was applyign for a job and the people standing behind me are snickering "Look what he got. Im gonna get paid so much more" Im not saying i want to change the system, its just a brutal system
-
As I was saying.....
-
how much would it suck to be a football player and have your football "IQ" posted out there for everyone to see and talk about
-
Me neither, if the NFLPA so much as sniffed that out, it would be world war III
-
Isnt this a form of collusion?

Kevin Jones and his shredded knee can go elsewhere if you ask me. Darrell Jackson would be a nice addition. And if Bradley or Hester beats out Lloyd, he could still be cut before the season starts. Maybe the same could be applied to Darrell Jackson

Who was assigned the draft picks that NE lost because of the Spygate scandal? The Bears werent really "harmed" because of the tampering, it just pissed them off. They still retained the player who was tampered with, so i dont see how they could end up with additional picks

What exactly did the 49ers do? The way I understood it, over last years offseason Lance Briggs and his big mouth(otherwise known as Drew Rosenhaus) talked to anyone who would listen about engineering a trade somewhere far away from Chicago. Did the 49ers initiate talks with Rosenhaus? did they call Briggs exclusively? I guess I dont understand how the Redskins can have a deal on the table ready to trade for Briggs and that is fine, but the 49ers are getting laid out flat for tampering.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3295344 I wonder how Hall will feel going from one bottom feeder to another. I dont imagine he will remain quiet for long.

You know what is going to be really sad about this competition? If rex actually proves that he is better and wins the job, nobody is going to accept that he won the job. they are going to say he was handed the job again and nobody will accept that he won the job. I want the better QB to win the job, plain and simple. I think that QB is Rex, but if Orton wins I wont be unhappy about it. But I can hear the complaining already, the headlines are ready to be printed.

I remember the running back who ran behind that Dallas offensive line, and was known for running out of bounds and scoring touchdowns. Gained a lot of yards too. In fact, he passed our beloved Walter Payton. Just because your team has a good offensive line doesnt mean the back is overrated. Unless you think Adrian Peterson is overrated. Or Jamal Lewis with the Ravens. Or Terrell Davis. Or anybody not named Barry Sanders in the past 20 years.
-
So? Adrian Peterson has one of the best lines in the NFL to run behind, that doesnt mean that he is less of a runner or didnt deserve to be the offensive rookie of the year. Most good running backs have a good line. It isnt as if he is a one dimensional back, he can catch out of the backfield and he isnt all that bad of a blocker as well.

I actually do have a problem with him playing special teams. His second biggest problem (behind his coverage skills......waaaaay behind his cover skills) is the fact that he cannot wrap a guy up because he always tries for the big hit. we are counting on him flying down the field and making a solid tackle, and I just dont know that he can do that.

Please explain how a former MVP was the most overrated player in the league
-
Ah yes, we all accept mediocrity because we dont make Chicken Little/Drama Queen threads every 3rd day regarding the Bears. Please, take your drama to the Jags board. By all means.

Terra is a Jaguars fan now, so we dont have to worry about him anymore anyways. He can bring his infectious smile, engaging personality, optimistic attitude to the Jacksonville faithful. He will be sorely missed

Takeo Spikes got released by the Eagles today. I would love to put him in the rotation

this is www.jaythejoke.com take on Jays column this morning. Read this like you are watching the Geico commercials with Celebrity guests

Oh, Mariotti is the guy I want to cite in any discussion. Sure His solution to any problem is to throw a lot of money at it because thats the only thing that works, contracts, salary caps, and CBA's bedamned
-
Yeah, but the question isnt "where will they land?", it is "which of these guys would you pick if they fell to 14?"
-
I usually agree with your assessments, but I disagree here. The Bears were trending upwards every year with lovie(except last year of course) and while it seemed everything went right for the Bears for the most part, it seems that way with every Super Bowl team, luck is just part of it. And even when you think about it, everything didnt go right, they dealt with Rex Grossmans backwards slide from the Arizona game forward, injuries to Harris, Mike Brown(again), Tank Johnsons legal issues, there were plenty of things going wrong while the team was still winning. 2007-2008 is over, start planning for the '09 draft.

You should have your posting priveledges revoked. Seriously. Hester isnt even in the same sentence as Steve Smith in terms of the tools it takes to be a wide reciever. learning to catch the ball does not make him twice the player that Steve Smith is. Take off the orange and navy blue sunglasses, the above statement is borderline retarded
-
Last we heard, Briggs would never wear a Bears jersey again. never say never, BA could still end up a Bear if the Jets dont want to make him the highest paid ST player in the league
-
And Gruden keeps collecting QBs A higher pick wasnt possible, Im glad the Bears got anything for Griese
