  1. Man, I totally expected the Bears to make at the very least 10 free agent signings in the last 3 days. And I also expected him to sign Briggs, Ayenbedajo, Berrian, and Harris as well. He needs to be fired, this is unacceptable
  2. He isnt fast enough, but he was NDs return man? strange.
  3. We also have to remember that there is pretty much another "round" of free agency right around the time of the draft when teams make all of their cuts to accomodate incoming draftees. This is just the start of free agency
  4. What a complete asshat. This is the same guy who said that bringing Grossman back would go a long way towards getting him signed
  5. Is Warrick Dunn still on the Falcons payroll?
  6. I agree, I dont really understand that statement either. We didnt add somebody, we kept somebody. The depth remains the same
  7. Well, Urlacher didnt mouth off about his team, but he certainly didnt have any problems texting some pretty unpleasant things to his kids mom. Are you referring to the same Lance Briggs who wouldnt speak to the Media for the first half of the season? Lance Briggs crashed his lamborghini and left it, and he was unhappy with his contract last year. Im not gonna crucify the guy for it, plenty of guys make dumb mistakes. Some more than others, and some are really good at covering those mistakes up better than others. Olin kreutz broke his own teammates jaw, and was given a return volley of a weight in the scalp which required stitches, i dont hate Olin Kreutz because of it.
  8. Put yourself in his shoes for one second and then answer this question: Would you turn it down? Dont fault the player for accepting the money placed in front of him, fault the loon that offered it to him in the first place
  9. I just dont know how the Bears should approach a contract with Hester, there are so many different variables in his play. Not a WR(yet), not a CB(anymore), a special teamer who isnt making tackles, but is returning kicks. Its definitely a hard situation for the Bears, they dont even know what market they should be using for comparison
  10. Welker reminds me of Don Beebe in that respect. He lined up on the other side of some amazing talent in Buffalo and Green Bay and he made every catch count for something. He was just solid in every aspect of his game, and if you forgot about him he took advantage of it.
  11. I thought that this move was contrary to something Parcells would do. Parcells is known for cutting the fat off teams that he steps into, not getting rid of productive players
  12. nfoligno, I luv when you analyze
  13. sarcasm isnt the same as personal attacks, he is going to get suspended for being snarky

    Trade Tommie?

I dont know, the DL was pretty thin last year after all of the injuries, I dont think trading away your best player is a good idea I doubt some team would be willing to deal 2 #1 picks, but that would be worth exploring
  16. Urlacher falls into 2 of those 3 categories. Now he wants to rework his deal, and he has an illegitimate son whose mother has caused nothing but trouble since she gave birth. And if you want to step into the wayback machine, we can all recall the partying Paris Hilton glory days and Urlachers messy divorce due to infidelity
  17. I think the title of this thread should be "Redskins make a play for every available free agent, Briggs says no"
  18. Do you think Jason Taylor would take a backseat to Brown and Ogunleye in the rotation if he had a chance to start elsewhere? I doubt it. It would be one hell of a 4 man DE rotation, but I dont see any realistic way that its gonna happen
  19. Now, do the Bears still rework Urlachers deal? Great news, by the way
  20. Right, I mean he wouldnt have to bother blocking for Adrian Peterson downfield, now would he?
  21. Are you kidding? the media is hard on the Bears? Have you looked at some of the postings on this site since Free Agency started less than 48 hours ago? Jerry Angelo has dropped the Ball, we need to fire Angelo and Smith, this team has no direction, blah blah blah. The media is nothing but a mouthpiece for the fans now, because they arent saying anything different from each other.
  22. A good kicker is worth his weight in gold, and Robbie has proved to be consistent as they come. I dont mind seeing the Bears shell out good money to see Gould on the team for years to come.
