Cutler's Sunday night struggles continue.. 3 consecutive drives that should have resulted in points. Now defense has been on the field for too long already.
-
Jennings with an INT!! Bears must convert this into points now.
-
At this point, the only player I trust to make a play on offense is Brandon Marshall. We're going to have to beat someone deep because we can't protect the football. Defense needs a 3 and out.
-
Lol. Hang on to the freakin football you idiots.
-
Hester can't even get 1 yard when all he had to do was move forward.
-
fu.cking Kellen Davis is so .freakin bad. Unbelievable!
-
This is the longest intro ever! Get the freakin game going!
-
SF has lucked out so much in this game. St Louis negates an 80 yard would have been game winning FG because of a dumb rule about reporting. What the heck is its purpose?

Off-Topic: I am in love with the Panthers uniforms right now. Black with blue socks. Awesome

Game of the Year.. Until next week! I don't see us going 15-1 this year, so a loss has to come at some point. The game will be won in the trenches. If JJ Watt is a non factor, the Bears likely win the game. If Tillman plays, I don't worry too much about the Texans offense against our defense. I don't have the same fear factor that I do when we go up against GB, and we play them well most times. Cutler can't have one of his games where he's constantly throwing off his back foot either, because of the pass rush. I know it's easy for me to say, but he's got to stand in there and be the franchise QB we paid him to be. I'd get him outside the pocket a lot, and mix it up with a healthy dose of screens/misdirections to neutralize Watt. Cutler is actually a better passer on the run than he is in the pocket. The statistics prove it.

I don't have a problem with him if he misses the game. There are things more important than football, and Tillman has his priorities lined up. I think taking away a game check is a little bit of a slap in the face. You either preach family first or you don't. Lovie says family first. I don't think it would be right to Tillman if the Bears were to take away his check. It would just look bad.

I tend to agree with you about SF, although that offense could potentially give the Bears fits with their style of play. They have the best run blocking offensive line in the game, and the Cover 2 is susceptible to a team that runs a bunch of plays with heavy personnel. They could get gashed for big plays against SF, even though there QB isn't elite. If you force the Bears to bring a safety in the box, you suddenly have a 1 on 1 matchup with one of the outside receivers. With that said, I just have this feeling that the Bears are going to blow out SF. I do think the defense will come ready to play, and I think the offense is going to make a surprise appearance to silence the crowd. The Texans game is going to be determined by whether or not JJ Watt is a factor. They need to cut block the shit out of him, all day! Even when he is blocked, he can still make himself available by swatting down a pass at the LOS. He is the Charles Tillman of the batted pass. He's just got that uncanny ability, so the Bears need to make sure they get him on the ground and eliminate him from making a play.

From this point forward, we are going to learn alot about the Chicago Bears. The soft part of our schedule is over. I lost a little bit of confidence in Cutler from the Greenbay debacle earlier in the season, so the rest of this year is going to speak volumes about Cutler and his ability to get this team to a Superbowl because San Francisco, Greenbay, or Seattle are likely going to be one of the Bears opponents come playoff time, at some point.

You guys still think Cutler checks out of games

Yeah but Carimi has been struggling much worse than Webb has this year, both in pass protection and penalties. If he can't hold his own on the right side, I don't want him on the left side, against the better pass rushers. I actually think a move to guard could be in his future because of his terrific run blocking skills. His pass blocking has just been so inept on the right side. -
Jeffery still had his hand in a brace/wrap on Sunday. Lovie said he's getting better by the day, but has yet to practice. I'm hoping that he can be back for next Sunday's game, but I think Monday night against the 49'ers is a better bet. As for how much he's missed.. I've been talking about it for the last two weeks. He's another big body target that can catch the ball out of small windows, and make plays in the redzone. As one of you mentioned, he's the only WR, other than Marshall, to catch a TD since he's been out of the lineup. I'm not one to say you can throw too much to Brandon Marshall, but you have to be able to spread the ball around a little bit to keep the defense honest, and right now, Marshall is the only guy out there making plays. Jeffery is much needed. I don't think we can beat the Texans or 49'ers w/o him, barring another out of this world performance from the defense.

Peanut should be in the running for defensive player of the year.
-
Yep. I would just pull a Bill Belichick and score all the way until the clock reads "0:00".
-
Tillman with one of the greatest defensive performances in a long time from a Bear, maybe in the NFL.
-
Now that is how it's suppose to work.
-
freakin Carimi DIDNT EVEN MOVE! Idiot.
-
The Bears need to just take a page out of Seattle's playbook and run Forte and Bush to death. Forget the passing In my opinion, Marshall is the only receiver that is consistently getting open, but as we've seen already this year, Cutler is definitely locked in to his #1 because the other guys aren't making plays. Hester is non existent and Bennett has been mostly a no show, aside from a couple of big catches last week in the 4th quarter. Jeffery makes a big difference out there being another guy that can use his body, like a basketball player, to get in position for the pick and stick plays that Cutler likes.
-
Alshon Jeffery NEEDS to return next week. The offense is clearly missing him. It's Brandon Marshall or bust in nearly every situation. At least Jeffery gives you the threat of another guy capable of making a play. All I want to see this half is at least one really good offensive drive over 60+ that results in a touchdown.
-
They need to be so much better on 1st down, but here's finally a nice little drive they are putting together. Need to get 7 here though. EDIT: Ooops, nvm, Webb blows up another play. Good god.
-
Never run gimmick plays for Hester because they NEVER work.
-
A defensive TD, special teams TD, Passing TD, and Rushing TD all in the 1st quarter.. Got to be some sort of record, right?
