The Colts should be improved from where they were but their defense still blows and their receivers are getting old. We should win by double digits but a lot can happen between now and then if, god forbid, one of our players goes down before we get a chance to see them in action.

They will never host a Super bowl until they put a roof over their building and up the seating capacity by a great deal. It's a shame that we have the smallest stadium in the league.

Here are all the reasons for why Jeffery will start. - He's a 2nd round pick who has all the physical tools to be successful at this level - Devin Hester is not a very good WR and we have been witnesses to it for almost 4 years now Devin has never had a 1,000 yard season, he's never caught over 60 balls, and he's never had more than 4 touchdowns in a season. Since he became a full time receiver he's averaged about 44 receptions, 565 yards, 3 TD's a season. Those aren't the numbers of a #1 or a #2 receiver. He is best used as a slot, package receiver that can take advantage of the double teams being thrown at Brandon in certain situations that allows Devin to get out into open space and do what he does best.. make something happen. He's got to learn how to adjust to deep balls and secure the catch once it hits his hands. He may run unbelievable routes, as they say, but it doesn't matter if you can't consistently catch it or you can't improvise while the ball is in the air and the defender is right there with you to make a play. Alshon was brought here to be the #2 next to Brandon. His hands have been noted to be some of the best in this draft, and he has already been used to being the focal point of an offense from college. His adjustment is much easier, coming into this league not having to be "The guy" like some other rookies have been asked to do in the past. He's in a great situation.

Another wasted JA draft pick and a worthless "Martz Project" quarterback that didn't last for more than a season.

Just read that article. Pretty much assures us that the Bears are definitely not in any rush to get a long term contract ironed out with Forte. Franchising him until his legs fall off seems to be a logical plan. I believe we can do it up to 3 times, which basically equals out to almost exactly the type of deal Forte wanted in the first place, for guaranteed money.

We hear this same garbage every year and every year we get the same result. We've been down this road. Remember when Lovie Smith went out of his way to tell every Bears beat writer that Devin Hester was a true #1 receiver? I don't get this love fest the Bears have with this guy as a wide receiver. It seems like it's forced. Either that or he's the greatest practice player of all time.

Wish the guy nothing but the best. I feel awful for him not only for the injury but also because of all the weight he lost. He was down to 155 at one time.

I look for Cutler to get back to those Denver numbers, hopefully without all the picks, and throw for close to 4500 yards like he did in 08. Maybe throw for around 25-30 touchdowns with hopefully under 16 INTs. If he goes 4500, 30 TDs, and 10-14 INTs you're talking about an MVP candidate, assuming we get #1 seed in the NFC. His stats won't be on par with Rodgers, Brees, or Brady of course, but if the Bears can overtake GB record wise and the rest of the NFC, you'll hear the Cutler MVP talk late in the season. Whether he wins it or not is unlikely but he could at least be in the conversation.

You can never have too much depth, but the question is dollars and cents and of course, whether or not the Bears believe in Kellen Davis, which I believe they do.

My opinion. This is how I'd rank the top 10 RB's 1. AP 2. CJ 3. McCoy 4. Foster 5. Rice (Toss up between he and Forte) 6. Forte (Toss up between he and Rice) 7. MJD 8. McFadden 9. Gore 10. Lynch/Steven Jackson (toss up)

Jay Cutler texted him during the show on First Take, "Defending Bron Bron is suicide." Marshall knows his stuff. He's an extremely deep thinker and seems to be on the right path.

He's not the running back McCoy is, so no. And if Forte thinks he deserves as much or more, he can go kick rocks. He's probably worth between 16-18 mil guaranteed at most.

How hilariously unfair would it be if we ran out Brandon Marshall (6'4) Alshon Jeffery (6'3) Kellen Davis (6'7) and this guy at 6'10 on the goal line. To steal a line from Darryl Drake, they'd be "picking peanuts" off the heads of Corner backs and safeties.

Isn't Paea a 3-technique tackle? I don't think he starts over Melton, and usually you want to have a run stuffer next to your pass rushing DT. That's why I think Idonije starts, but I could be wrong.

Yeah, there are always guys ever year that wind up starting as undrafted free agents. There have been a few that have gone on to make the pro bowl as offensive lineman. Jason Peters for example, Shaun O'Hara, Brian Waters, Donald Penn, Kris Dielman to name a few. Not saying James Brown is our guy of the future because he hasn't played a down yet, but it's also not to say that a guy can't turn out to be a good player just because he wasn't drafted.

His main deficiency, other than inhaling cannabis, is that he's 6'3. Not sure what his position is at the NFL level. I assume they'll try him at both LT and guard and see what works best. He looks pretty athletic from what I've seen.

Idonije surely is going to be moved back to DT full time again to accommodate McClellin and fill the void of a run stuffing interior lineman.

Dan Pompei is one who I would call a simpleton. I can't say I'd ever accuse him of ever having that many good football thoughts. Wasn't he the idiot that kept questioning Cutler's body language?
