  1. Yep, according to this we are 4th worst with 20. http://stats.washingtonpost.com/fb/tmleade...FL&rank=232
  2. Well for the record, I've never said one time that the offensive line doesn't need an upgrade. I believe we need to add quality depth to insure ourselves Frank Omiyale never steps on the field ever again. We need to draft and develop a young center to take the place of Garza, who's surprisingly played at a Pro Bowl level for much of the year despite never playing the position before. It also would be a good idea to have another guard and tackle to, like I said, improve our depth and maybe at some point step in as future starters. Right now, taking away from Chris Williams injury, this line has played decent to above average football over the course of the last 4-5 weeks. There was a bit of a slip up against Detroit but it wasn't anywhere close to being a disaster like it was from the Week 5 matchup and weeks prior. As long as this line can play average football, we should be able to be a respectable offense, but until we get Cutler some quality WR's, we'll never be an explosive, multi dimensional offense. 10 weeks into the season, I think its fairly obvious to me that the offensive line is not the worst part of this team. Early in the season it was a disaster, but that had more to do with Mike Martz being an ass clown, and it took Jay Cutler and others to finally get it back into his head that we aren't capable of running the greatest show on turf. As the season has unfolded, Martz has tightened things up a bit, (I still would like to see more). There are a number of things you could point to for the turnaround. Just off the top of my head, there are a few that comes to mind.. - More chip blocking coming from the TE's to help the tackles - Designing plays that allow Cutler to get rid of the ball quicker - The occasional rollouts - The removal of Frank OMG - Running the ball more Each of these changes have, in some way, helped improve the offense. But there comes a point in games where you need your play makers to make a big play. Matt Forte and Earl Bennett are our two best play makers on the team (Excluding Jay) but Earl isn't a dude that is going to take the top off the defense, and he does most of his damage as the slot guy. Teams are now going to start learning how to take away some of Bennett's effectiveness, and when that happens, what receiver can you trust to get open and catch a pass? All you really need to know is this group is among the league leaders in dropped passes as a team, and our two starters each have 5 a piece. Throw in Sanzenbacher's 6 and Knox's 2 and you have a big problem.
  3. Well I could sit here and explain myself yet again as to why you are wrong for thinking what you think, but that's no longer an option with someone that's so close minded, such as yourself.
  4. Edwin Williams will start atleast until Carimi is healthy. Then I'd be interested to see if they move Spencer over to LG and Louis back to his RG position so Carimi can remain the teams RT. We will see. I Just hope we never have to see anymore of OMG because that means we're either tanking or the coaches just aren't very smart. I think it was pretty clear that he has no place in the NFL.
  5. The offensive line wasn't all that bad but they were no where near as good as they were against the Eagles but who was really holding them to such a standard? They played okay, and as long as they can atleast play average football we should be in good shape. Mike Martz still is calling too many 7 step drops (Even in the game against the Eagles) and wasn't calling as many roll outs as he did last week, granted we played "run the clock out" the entire second half but I'd like to see that Eagles offensive approach in every game the rest of the way.
  6. That's a good question. Some of these guys just get in because of how good there teams were. That's why I say, it's not the Hall of the really good, its the Hall of Fame and should be treated as such. Unfortunately you can't go back and revoke someones position but its something I wish you could do, because there are some head scratchers in there for sure.
  7. Maybe an even better question is, how has he never made a pro bowl yet? I think he should be well on his way to making his first if he continues to play well this season.
  8. I guess, if anything, LG is generally your least important position on the offensive line so I think we should still be able to manage for a couple weeks with Edwin Williams in there. But I would hope that Carimi can come back in say 2 weeks and step back in at RT so we can move Lance Louis back to RG and slide Chris Spencer over to LG.
  9. Well this sucks.. Looks like he's going to be out a while if he's already having surgery now. Didn't see the play he injured it on but now with Carimi out for atleast the next couple weeks, it looks like its Edwin Williams or bust..
  10. Here's an idea. Let's maybe try to stay away from the guys that already have been injured multiple times in the knee area..
  11. Yeah I don't get why they didn't accept it. It's 15 yards!
  12. Damn, this offense just sucks. We can't generate anything.. Can't remember the last time we got a first down. It shouldn't be that hard considering Detroit already folded the tent.
  13. Now the officials are just looking to throw flags on the Bears. This is ridiculous.
  14. WOW, What a bull shit call by the referee. Stafford's not ejected but Moore is??? Pathetic.
  15. I might think about putting in Caleb Haine at this point. Just run the clock out. I don't want another cheap shot on our QB.
  16. Even Stafford is a cheap shot artist. I'm beginning to think this team is more dirty than their own city. Meanwhile, why is their idiot coach challenging this down 31? Lol?
  17. My god Detroit is such a freaking dirty team. I can't stand them.
  18. WOOHOO!! Fat Matt with another pick 6!! Hahaha I love it!!
  19. Fat Matt with a pick 6! I'll take it but I still would like to see us get something going on offense.
  20. This game is really starting to piss me off.
  21. How about some screens on offense? Martz is calling too many 7 step drops in unfavorable situations. This line has played better but they are still not capable of what Martz wants them to do. The running game needs to get going in this half because I don't know much much the wind is going to affect Cutler. Need more big plays to start this half.
  22. This half couldn't have gone any worse after the intial 20-0 lead.
  23. The hell? What is the point of the challenge? Even if it was a fumble you can't give the ball to Detroit 30 seconds after the play was over.
  24. Worst 2 min offense in football. Good god.
