Stop running the ball on 1st down. Everyone knows what the Bears are trying to do. It's no secret that they are going to feed Forte the ball but you have to be more creative with your play calling to make it work. Running it on 1st down at the start of every drive is not going to work. Do something else Martz.

I find it hard to believe a guy that never examined Cutler himself and never looked at the MRI could tell you exactly what his time table is. I trust the specialist that looked at him. But either way, it doesn't mean anything really, one way or the other because the surgery itself, depending on what they do, can speed his recovery up to possible allow him to come back after 4-6 weeks. Nice find. I like it. Eric Mangini was blowing his load all over this after the news broke on NFL live. He thinks this is a no brainer for Chicago. I still think the Bears bring him in as a backup. There is no way he can pick up Mike Martz offense within these 5 or 6 weeks until Cutler is back. But Orton is still a much much better option to have in case of an emergency than Nathan Enderle.
