  1. Ugh.. Sad to see Gholston go but I guess he should start looking for another career.
  2. Well yeah. I hate when players bitch and complain about their contracts when they aren't even more than a couple of years into their new ones. A contract is suppose to be a CONTRACT and should be honored fully. That's why I brought up the NBA contract. You shouldn't be able to restructure your contracts once you sign them. Just my opinion.
  3. Yeah I'd pretty much ignore him if I were the front office. We've seen this movie before.. What was it, two years ago that he signed his last contract? Wtf, he's still got 3 years left on his deal. This is almost as bad as Andre Johnson holding out with 4-5 years left on his contract. Just shut up and play. I wish the NFL were like the NBA to where you cant restructure contracts. Then you would have no hold outs.
  4. Onrea Jones has actually been pretty solid in the time he's gotten so far. I'd like to see him atleast make it to the last cut to push Sam Hurd for that last WR spot.
  5. We have a plethora of RB's so I think Chester Taylor winds up getting cut and Khalil Bell makes the team as the 3rd RB. I don't know how many WR's we will keep but I'd imagine it'll be 6 (Williams, Bennett, Knox, Hester, Sanzenbacher, Hurd). I'd like to see us keep Gholston but I think he's pretty much gone if he doesn't do anything in this 4th preseason game. Addison has looked nice as well but he could be a practice squad player. The question then becomes, do they keep Marcus Harrison? From what I've seen Toeina and Paea have been terrible, especially Paea and Anthony Adams will probably be the starter come week 1 and Okoye and Melton are locks to make this team, that doesn't leave alot of room for Harrison. I see him getting cut too.
  6. Epic fail there by the Bears. wtf? How do you not hold them after a blocked punt? Pretty ridiculous.
  7. Idk if it was on purpose or not but that hit on Clark was awfully low and could have been taken down without going for the knee.. Sucks to lose a guy like that.
  8. Probably the worst throw I've ever seen by Caleb Haine right there. what the hell? That wasn't even within 15 yards of his receiver.
  9. Offensive line has performed adequately in these last one and a half games. The running game should be there and Jay looks extremely comfortable in this offense now. Only problem is the crap receivers he has to work with.
  10. wtf? how do the refs screw up that situation? Obviously there is going to be a TO. What a bunch of morons.
  11. I'm waiting to see this defensive line step up. There hasn't been any pressure on the quarterback since Okoye's two sacks in the first game and then his attempt at one tonight.
  12. Too bad we didn't have about 3 Earl Bennetts on this team. Anyone outside of him is piss poor at catching the ball consistently..
  13. Stop sucking ass Robbie Gould. Jesus..
  14. Me too. Too bad none of them wanted to come here and the only lineman that would have given us a substantial upgrade would have cost us two first round picks. At some point, the WR position is going to have to be upgraded as well. There is no #1 WR on this roster.
  15. I want to see a much better performance from the defense and Roy Williams tomorrow night. The defense was a big let down last week when the Giants ran all over us. We had poor tackling/poor execution. Can't let that happen again. I'm hoping for a Vernon Gholston sack, some Okoye/Melton highlights and for the offense to atleast look like they can score at this level with some sort of consistency. The only thing we've shown through two games this preseason is that we are going to have a pretty solid running game with Barber and Forte.
  16. Sidney Rice's contract isn't huge, it's actually a fair value. And lets not pretend like the Bears didn't have the money to spend. They had the 3rd most out of all teams this offseason and chose to spent it on projects and still had 19 mil or so left over.
  17. He is a lock to make this team. He's the perfect Mike Martz slot receiver. Looks a little like Wes Welker from a physical standpoint and from what I can tell, he has reliable hands. I wouldn't be surprised if by the end of the year he was our #3 receiver.
  18. Should have gotten more serious about signing Sidney Rice and not let Mike Martz continue to dictate who we sign on offense.
  19. Chris Johnson is worth like 10 Matt Forte's. Titans would not do this just for the sake of ridding themselves of signing him to that hefty contract.
  20. After watching this game, it only reassured me why we needed to sign Sidney Rice. Cutler had a good game but it could have been alot better had Roy Williams caught the two easy passes that were thrown right too him, and Hester hadn't of dropped the one in the redzone and slipped on the other. Way too many dropped passes last night. The only WR that played a good game was Earl Bennett, to no surprise. He's about as sure handed as they get. I'd like to see more of this Onrea Jones kid. He stood out on the 3rd team during that no huddle offensive drive.
  21. The pass catching couldn't be any more atrocious tonight. I've counted atleast 5 drops in this game, and there may be more.
  22. Yeah I pretty much hate the Martz offense. Every team we play has a quarterback and an offense that makes the QB get rid of the football out of a short drop back. I wish we ran a West Coast style of offense personally.
  23. There is having fun, and then there is missing kicks. And nobody here said it's the end of the world.
  24. I'm not really liking what I'm seeing from Robbie Gould. Dude hasn't been close on alot of his kicks this preseason.
