Yeah the Bears have looked like shit tonight in pretty much all phases of the game. Not good folks.. not good.
-
I wonder if CHester Taylor has ever had a run for over 5 yards with this team?
-
Defense got abused there....
-
Yeah we're fine at Receiver. It's not like we could have added Sidney Rice or anything..
-
Two terrible drops by Roy Williams already. I have a feeling he's going to end up being a pain all season.. I've already seen Knox drop enough balls, we don't need another poor handed receiver.
-
Ok, Roy.. You can't drop that pass.
-
He was never a good cover safety, but he was really good in run support and returning kicks. We will miss him in that department. Especially if Major Wright can't stay healhty.
-
Now that camp has ended, NFL Network drop the ball?

I wish I got the NFL Network. I'm tired of watching this little league world series crap, and tennis.. -
I don't know about you guys but I'm going to be doing the first down celebration right there with him after moving the chains, everytime.
-
Convert him to a LB, offer them a 4th round pick or perhaps the Olsen 3rd and call it a deal. If there is one thing this kid can do it is fly to the ball and hit you hard. He could be that cover LB we are looking for that has the speed to stay with some of these TE's and some WR's.
-
Source or it didn't happen
-
Yeah Chester is going to be cut and we'll keep Bell as the 3rd back and put Unga back on the practice squad, imo.
-
I'm giving Webb until after the 3rd preseason game to show me he can play LT. Otherwise flip him and Carimi back to their normal positions and for the love of god, get Roberto Garza out of being the starting center.
-
Jay Cutler with a 72 toughness rating.. smh
-
I mean, I didn't know if he had some sort of speech problem or he's just generally a shy person when it comes to media. hmmm
-
I heard Barber took a couple of questions yesterday about his performance on Saturday and after the interview he said "That's it for the rest of the year." I didn't know he hardly ever talked to the media. Does anybody know why?
-
Haine can do no right because Martz doesn't like him. It's really that simple. That other kid I thought looked pretty terrible on Saturday. He stood forever in the pocket and had the delivery of a Tim Tebow. I realize he's a project rookie but lets be real here. He is in no position to take over as a backup quarterback. Haine atleast has some experience and mobility.
-
Scary to me how many times he showed a clip of Lance Luis getting completely blown up at the LOS without giving any kind of resistance. But we are going to keep the line intact after their poor performance but we are going to demote Caleb Haine for his.
-
Who's ass didn't Caleb Haine kiss this time? My god, it seems that this kid can't do anything right. First he gets a slap in the face by putting a downright pathetic Todd Collins in ahead of him all year last season, and now he's getting demoted after one preseason game to a rookie that really didn't even play well on Saturday? I'm getting so sick of Martz. Its pretty clear that this Enderle kid is not ready to be a backup quarterback in the NFL. I mean it's not like Caleb Haine didn't just finish coming off of an NFC championship game where he almost lead the Bears to a comeback victory over the Green Bay Packers recently. Imagine Haine and Nathan Enderle switching places in that scenario. I don't know about you but I'd prefer Caleb 10/10 times over a guy that's never played in the NFL.

Good news. We dodged a bullet there. Luckily he didn't re tear the ACL in that knee. If anything, this should mean Gholston has a better shot at making the team now.
-
He would be a Pro Bowl caliber player for sure. I'd probably put him on the same level as a Stephen Jackson. A great but not spectacular game changing RB.
-
I've never really thought of Forte as a Superstar RB. He doesn't have that elite level speed like a Chris Johnson or an Adrian Peterson who can take it to the house with just a little bit of space or one missed tackle. I think Matt has shown to be a reliable back. He will catch the ball out of the backfield 40-50 times a year, run for over 1,000 and carry the load every once in a while. But like I said, I don't see him ever reaching that 1,500+ yards rushing and 15+ TD barrier that gets you to an elite level. Therefore, if the Bears can't come to an agreement and some team in the lottery level range wants to offer a 1st round pick for him, I would have no problem trading him.

I didn't realize that our next game is a MNF broadcast. Should be a fun one. Starters should play atleast a couple more series (Maybe a quarter) and we'll get another look at Okoye and the new Bears vaunt pass rush. I like what I saw from our defense. The offense was really terrible, to be quite honest. Atleast we had a running game. Reminded me alot of last year when Forte got it going late in the season and we just pounded the rock with him. If Martz calls anything other than a 3 step drop it's a definite sack. Webb looked terrible tonight. A Steriodless Merriman made him look like a fool for the most part out there. Carimi didn't impress either in the passing game. There really wasn't a single player on that starting line that made me feel confident. Spencer has to start and be the starter the rest of the way. He looked pretty solid out there, thank god. Didn't see much from Paea though. One thing is for sure, we are going to have a deep deep defensive line this season. Hope all our guys can stay healthy because we should be camping out at the quarterback alot this year.
-
Chris Spencer definitely needs to be next weeks starting center. He had some really nice plays tonight and has been the only standout so far on this offensive line.
-
I also like what I saw from Vernon Gholston. With Wooton's injury, and who knows the extent of it (hopefully not serious) he'll get more looks. He showed tonight that he is capable of making some plays not only in the pass rush game but filling up the gaps and stopping the run. He was in on quite a few tackles. I hope he makes this team. You can never have enough pass rushers.
