  1. Finally! Good for him. Glad he finally made it.
  2. Just makin sure But the improvisation isn't the reason I want Fitzgerald. I want him because he is in my opinion, the best wide receiver in the NFL. Like I said before, Larry Fitzgerald on this team is INVALUABLE to anything else we could possibly add on the offensive line. Let me ask you something, would you rather have our first round pick to draft a guy that will still never reach the status of a Larry Fitzgerald career wise? This is my whole point, Larry Fitzgerald >>>>>> {Insert offensive lineman draftee} and it's not even going to be close.
  3. The whole diabetes thing was very interesting and something I never thought about.
  4. I thought I did a few posts above this one. But yeah I would give up a 1st, a 3rd, and Johnny Knox if it came down to it. As I said before, the impact of Larry Fitzgerald would be invaluable to the impact of any offensive lineman we pick up if any this offseason. If the price is two first rounders, I'd flinch at first but I probably would do that too. It's not like our pick is going to be in the low teens either and If I'm confident in my team I'd venture to say we should be right back in the hunt for the superbowl again next year.
  5. Oh yes they would! Especially with Fitzgerald. Think of how many coverage sacks this team gave up this year because nobody got open. Larry Fitzgerald is one of the best improvisers as far as breaking a route and getting open, in the game today. Just looking at his stats he had 90 catches this season. 90?!?! With those quarterbacks??? Yes we all know the offensive line is the main priority this season but if you have the opportunity to get a talent like Fitty, he's the guy you get over anybody else.
  6. It might cost two 1sts or a 1st and 3rd plus Knox or something. I would heavily consider it, Idk if the Bears would. But it's worth looking in to. If the Bears can't get anything done then they need to go after Jackson or Sidney Rice.
  7. And even if he did get it right, that pick would never add up to the level of impact that Fitzgerald would bring to this team anyways. This is a no brainer if you ask me.
  8. They will lose because the Packers won't be able to slow Roethlisberger down from extending plays and picking up first downs. Then they'll just run it down GB's throat. I'm thinking a 21-10 Pittsburgh win.
  9. If Arizona would do that I'd be all over it in a heartbeat. I'm not a Johnny Knox fan but he still has some value and one that Arizona might look to take back in a Larry Fitzgerald type of deal. From there the Bears still can draft OL in the 2nd and 3rd round and still be able to go after Mankins or that other lineman (Can't think of his name) in FA.
  10. http://www.nesn.com/2011/01/sources-larry-...ight-price.html Hellllooo? Don't know what they would be asking. I know the Lions got a 1st and 3rd out of Roy Williams so I think the bidding would start there. How about a 1st and Johnny Knox? This would be a dream come true if Larry Fitzgerald fell into our laps. Best WR in the game today.
  11. Two things 1. He's not Lovie Smith 2. He can't be worse That's enough for me
  12. FIRE HIS ASS TODAY AND GO GET JEFF FISHER! Just reported that he's on his way out of Tennessee.
  13. While I do agree with the Asomugha comments, with him being more of a man coverage player, the thing you guys are missing is that when you have a shutdown corner like him you are able to play more man coverage. If Lovie is smart, and I'm not saying he is, he would be willing to incorporate more of that in his defense next year.
  14. No shit. I never said I think that's what the Bears WILL do. That's why I said "Target" and "Possibly". And yes, we are right back where we were last year in the sense that we have the opportunity to go out and make our team better by getting FA's. This has nothing to do with the season itself. Every year you are looking to improve and the Bears will look to do that just like every other team in the league.
  15. More years of mediocrity are about to come. It would be insane to extend him this year. He has one year left on his deal, why wouldn't you just wait to see what happens next season?! We just came off of 3 years with no playoffs and now all of a sudden when Lovie's job security is in question, we make it to the NFC title game this season. Hmmmmm.... I wouldn't put it past the Bears organization to extend him now though, they would be this dumb. I hope not!
  16. Manning, Graham, Caleb, and Aromashodu. I know the Bears will resign Kreutz so we might as well put him on the list..
  17. There are not 3 analysts (Well two, 1 being a nobody in Cowherd) that I hate more than those guys. However I did listen to Trent Dilfer on the radio this morning and I had agreed with him on just about everything he said surprisingly, Silvy was being the idiot. Didn't get a chance to hear what the other two said but frankly I don't care. The more I keep hearing everyone's take on the situation the more I side with Cutler. I'm just sick of it already.
  18. Don't put words in my mouth. I said I hope they are able to get atleast one of those big 3. I would have reason to assume we will be right back where we were last year when we went after Julius Peppers. This team has a glaring weakness at offensive line and WR position and there will be some big name FA's available at those positions that I think the Bears will try and go after.

    So

I would definitely spend it watching the Pro Bowl.
  20. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/09000d5d81de...tenure-as-coach It was reported earlier on the Bears MB that he was retiring, now there is some clarification saying he wants to retire in 3 years when he's played 10 seasons.
  21. I thought he retired 3 years ago?
  22. Mankins, Jackson, Asomugha are the big 3 I'd like the Bears to target and possibly get 2 of the 3 if at all possible, at minimum one. Then from there depending on how much money they have and what happens to those 3 guys, the next tier of guys like Champ Bailey, DeAngelo Williams, T.O, Ochocinco, and Randy Moss are some others that could be available. I'm sure I'm missing some but those are the guys off the top of my head that will be FA's next year. DeAngelo Williams won't happen because the Bears like Forte too much but would be interesting to see a Williams/Forte combo. Personally, I say if we don't get Asomugha, we need to go after Champ Bailey and develop a young CB via draft. The two things the Bears desperately need more than anything is offensive line help and a #1 receiver. Those two have to be their top priorities entering next year and then from there use the draft to fill some of the other holes such as DT and FS.
  23. I do feel for the guy, this doesn't happen to anybody else except Jay Cutler and its purely based on the perception around him.
