  1. That TD courtesy of NFL officiating. That Cooper play and the missed FG is going to cost the Bears this game.
  2. Awful review. Not even close to a fumble.
  3. They don't even deserve a saftey out of that. God, this team is a freakin embarrassment. I can't believe that just happened.
  4. Marcus Cooper should be cut at halftime. Probably just blew the game for the Bears.
  5. An adequate QB and this is at least a two score game after 1 quarter.
  6. Somebody really needs to ask John Fox how and why he thinks Mike Glennon gives them the best chance to win. Trubisky can make plays on the field that Glennon simply can't, where as, there isn't anything Mike Glennon does that Trubisky can't. He'll make mistakes, but if he offers you more tools to succeed, that is, by definition, someone giving you a better chance to win. To me, this whole waiting period is just a gigantic waste of time. We already know Mike Glennon's shelf life as a starter will only last a maximum of 16 games anyways. He's gone after the year, so why are the Bears worried about developing him at all? It makes no sense. The other side to this whole thing is that the longer the Bears wait to see Trubisky, the less we'll know about him come next year's draft when it looks to be heavy on quarterbacks. The nightmare scenario is that we don't get to see enough of Trubisky to know if passing on one of these QB's is a good idea. And then, next year, Trubisky starts and is actually awful.
  7. Can you imagine how bad things would be if the Bears didn't draft a quarterback right now? Think about having to endure a full season of Glennon and Sanchez.
  8. I would be surprised if Long plays next week, since there is a Thursday night game coming up right after that. Not sure it would be the best thing for his health to come back and immediately play two NFL games in less than two weeks.
  9. Maybe. In Trestman's case, though, the team didn't start to unravel until midway through his second season. This is John Fox's 3rd year as head coach, and in each one of his 3 seasons, the Bears have started out 0-2. That hasn't happened in 50 years in Bears history. The first year was supposed to be bad, but they've been going backwards ever since. After next week's loss, they're essentially going to eliminate themselves from playoff contention before the 4th game of the season for the second year in a row. That's not acceptable. I don't know if he can survive another 14 games like this.
  10. So, I was right. Looks like Glennon is a lock again for week 3. Fox's stubbornness knows no bounds. I wonder when the rebellion is coming from the players. We are almost in an identical situation as last year. Getting embarrassed in week 2 while losing a half doze players to injury. Not that the playoffs was ever a realistic goal, but the Bears are basically already playing for their season in week 3. We know what the statistics are for teams that begin the year 0-3. As a player who's been around for a few of these John Fox years, that's got to be pretty mentally draining. It's actually quite remarkable how this man even has a job at this point. He's 9-24. Yes, 9-24. The only coach in Bears history who has a worse winning % than Fox was Abe Gibron (11-30). There's no doubt in my mind that if Fox makes it through the year, he will end up breaking that mark.
  11. What are the odds John Fox praises Mike Glennon for his 2nd half performance? If Trubisky isn't the starter next week, he needs to be fired.
  12. 4th and 10 and Glennon looks for the 5 yard in route to Zach Miller. The sooner I no longer have to see this man take another snap in a Bears uniform, the better. One of the worst free agent decisions the Bears have made since Pace took over as GM. Complete waste of time. Most of us called it when it happened.
  13. Winston would have thrown 3 picks today against any other defense that wasn't the Bears. Fuller drops another easy one in the endzone. His accuracy is really bad.
  14. Defense actually forced a turnover? Mark it down in the baby book!
  15. Great way to start the half! 3 and out. Just the way you would draw it up!
  16. Players are dropping like flies, and Tampa is blitzing on nearly every snap; I worry about the protection of the quarterback in this game. I don't want to get him killed. He may get in at some point in the 4th if the game is 30-0, but otherwise, you are probably better off waiting until next week when he can have a full week to prepare.
  17. Putting in Trubisky now while the game is out of reach I don't think is a smart decision. Tampa's defense is licking their chops right now. They know the Bears have only one option, which is to throw the ball. Trubisky would get killed the way the line is playing right now. I think you have to wait until next week.
  18. I don't even know if playing Trubisky now would be a smart thing. This game is over, and the players have already quit.
  19. Fangio's defense has been pretty meh in his 3 years here. Stupid penalties combined with poor technique (DB's not turning around to find the ball).. I don't think he will be back next year.
  20. Kwitkowski also is out of the game with a pec injury. No idea how that happens. You can't make this stuff up.
  21. This is shaping up to be one of those patented Bears games when nothing goes right. I'm already looking forward to next year.
  22. Trubisky will be starting by week 4, if not sooner. This season is already going off the rails 5 quarters in.
  23. A broken scapula does not take 16 weeks to heal. White may be frequently injured, but he's not Derrick Rose. It shouldn't take him a full year to recover from this. I would like to think he'll be back at some point this year. It's now or never for him. He doesn't have time to dick around. If he can come back, he absolutely should.
