If the Bears don't pick Baldwin, we better get Sidney Rice. This team won't get anywhere with Johnny Knox and Devin Hester as its #1 and #2 receivers. None of those guys have the ability to be a major threat at moving the chains. We need that Marcus Colston type receiver that might not have that stretch ability but he definitely can go up and grab a ball, and is a guy you can rely upon to make a big catch when it matters. I think Baldwin can be that type of player.

How can you appeal an appeal? Is that even legal?
-
I would LOVE this pick! This is the guy I want. Bears need a playmaker at WR that's not 5'11 inches tall.

Bears would open their books to get a CBA done

The owners just look like retards. The fact that they don't want to open up their books just tells you that they don't need the money. This whole thing is just stupid and needs to get solved now. -
Wow what a stupid fuckin rule! I'm pissed. Totally takes all the great returners out of the game. Now they decided to keep the touchback at the 20?! God damn, these owners are idiots. freak the NFL.

Lovie Smith receives 2 year extension through 2013.
Bears4Ever_34 replied to balta1701-A's topic in Bearstalk
What a flat out joke! Now what happens if we go 5-11 next year and miss the playoffs and everybody is calling for Lovie's head again? O wait... We can't fire him because we JUST SIGNED HIM TO AN EXTENSION! Makes absolutely no sense to extend him now when he had an entire year left on his deal. The Bears are idiots. -
I'd move him to LT if the Bears do go ahead and sign him. Sounds like he's more of a pass blocker than a mauler.
-
Ahh yes, I forgot about him. Well thats good news for us.
-
Sidney Rice would be sick on this team. We'd finally have a legit #1 receiver. But my question is why wouldn't the Vikings franchise tag him? Who else would they franchise? Unfortunately free agency doesn't occur until after the draft--which is stupid, so you don't know exactly what you have before the draft.
-
This guy is a walking train wreck. It's one thing after the other with him..
-
Draft Mike Pouncey or Baldwin in 1st and sign Carl Knicks.
-
I would sign him RIGHT NOW! This guy is still good enough to demand a double team and could potentially help double Pepper's sack totals.
-
Right now I'll take Baldwin or that Mike Pouncey from Florida.
-
He's been away from football far too long IMO. Let somebody else take a chance on him. Plus he's not a young guy. Gotta be about 32-33?
-
So we struck out on 2 of our 3 big signings from last offseason. Predictable. I still think Chester Taylor is a good back but I guess not in this system. Him and Forte are too similar to each other and I think we had a hard time getting him to mesh well as our 2nd string RB. Both he and Manu were a complete waste of money and am not surprised that both of them will be gone by the beginning of next season.
-
Are you that dumb to not be able to decipher that comment as being a joke?
-
It's going to kill me to say this but, for the Packers to do what they did with 16 guys on IR this season and their most significant coming at the beginning of the year, to win the Superbowl is unreal. Just goes to show you what a good organization that drafts well and coaches well can do for you. The Bears have alot of work cut out for them if they are to win the Superbowl. We lucked out this year with no injuries but as you saw last year, we lost one key piece and everything was shot to hell.
-
They ALL SUCK! freak THE PACKERS!
-
Finally! Good for him. Glad he finally made it.

Larry Fitzgerald available for the right price
Bears4Ever_34 replied to Bears4Ever_34's topic in Bearstalk
Just makin sure But the improvisation isn't the reason I want Fitzgerald. I want him because he is in my opinion, the best wide receiver in the NFL. Like I said before, Larry Fitzgerald on this team is INVALUABLE to anything else we could possibly add on the offensive line. Let me ask you something, would you rather have our first round pick to draft a guy that will still never reach the status of a Larry Fitzgerald career wise? This is my whole point, Larry Fitzgerald >>>>>> {Insert offensive lineman draftee} and it's not even going to be close. -

I thought I did a few posts above this one. But yeah I would give up a 1st, a 3rd, and Johnny Knox if it came down to it. As I said before, the impact of Larry Fitzgerald would be invaluable to the impact of any offensive lineman we pick up if any this offseason. If the price is two first rounders, I'd flinch at first but I probably would do that too. It's not like our pick is going to be in the low teens either and If I'm confident in my team I'd venture to say we should be right back in the hunt for the superbowl again next year. -

Oh yes they would! Especially with Fitzgerald. Think of how many coverage sacks this team gave up this year because nobody got open. Larry Fitzgerald is one of the best improvisers as far as breaking a route and getting open, in the game today. Just looking at his stats he had 90 catches this season. 90?!?! With those quarterbacks??? Yes we all know the offensive line is the main priority this season but if you have the opportunity to get a talent like Fitty, he's the guy you get over anybody else. -

It might cost two 1sts or a 1st and 3rd plus Knox or something. I would heavily consider it, Idk if the Bears would. But it's worth looking in to. If the Bears can't get anything done then they need to go after Jackson or Sidney Rice.
