  1. I heard after one series Cutler was seen walking towards the Giants sidelines instead of ours. Did anyone else catch this?
  2. I expect our defense to be solid with a rookie quarterback at the helm. Clausen looks completely confused and inferior out there to NFL players. I was watching him for a little bit today and he's got a funky throwing motion. He just doesn't look like he can play professional football looking like that. You know Peppers will be ready to face his former team. I expect Carolina to run it down our throats over and over again. Clausen won't throw it 20 times next week unless it's a blowout. We showed tonight that we really aren't as good as people thought we were against the run. However we will lose this game if #1 Cutler doesn't play and #2 the offense can't find a way to put up some points. I thought that was Martz's specialty? So far this year the offense really hasn't been any better than Turner's. I remember a stat that said the Bears only score 1.7 more points at this point this year than they did last year and the number will severely drop after tonights game, in fact I'm sure were actually scoring less points than we did last year. I'm sure Mike Martz's scheme is always well prepared and it is geared towards putting alot of points on the board but the only time his team was really successful was when he had 3 or 4 Hall of Famers on his offense with the Rams when they had Warner, Bruce, Holt, and Faulk. I said before the year started that Cutler mixed with Martz's scheme is a recipe for disaster because his philosophy is to throw the ball to a spot and the throw is already predetermined before the snap. Cutler is a pure gun slinger and making him even more of a gun slinger is a problem. In Denver they had the perfect offense for him when you talk about the West coast scheme. He was rolling out throwing alot of short passes over the middle of the field and to the outside that allowed for the receivers to gain major yardage after the catch. Of course it helps to have a good offensive line and he had that in Denver and now it's probably the best in football and you see Kyle Orton nearly throw for over 500 yards the other day you have to just shake your head..
  3. In 7 rounds of the NFL draft next year atleast 4 of them should be OL and definitely in round 1 and 2. Angelo keeps trying to spend picks on defensive lineman and safeties and they end up being busts, he can't keep replacing the same problem over again. Hopefully after drafting 4 offensive lineman you'd think one of them will be good and atleast 2 of them may become starters there rookie years. I mean it doesn't take much to defeat this competition. This is the year where we can see where Chris Williams projects and I'd say right now he's not looking good, in fact he's been downright awful. I've only seen one flash of him being really good the night we played the Vikings the last game of the season last year. He owned Jared Allen pretty good but now he looks like a practice squad player. I'm hoping he can come back next week or the following because we can't keep shifting our guys around like we are. They're bad as it is, we are just adding more fuel to the fire by putting them in positions to fail.
  4. Nah. I didn't think Cutler was that bad. I mean come on what the hell is he going to do after getting sacked 8 times? Get up and jump for joy? It's a natural human reaction that when something bad happens over and over again you get discouraged and I'm sure inside Cutler was pissed but his body language was not even close to ridiculous, it was what you can expect when that sort of destruction of the offensive line happens. You don't see Peyton Manning smile or look upbeat after he's been nailed a few times, and he's never been sacked 8 times in one game like Cutler was.
  5. We can't fix it because we don't have any good players to replace them with. There really is not one average lineman on the team, there really isn't. It's Angelo's fault. First he drafts a bust in Chris Williams, then he neglects the offensive line for 2 years in a row when it was clear it was our most needed position. I thought Martz was smarter than he is after the Dallas game when he actually adjusted the playcalling to fend off the Dallas pass rush but in this game there was none of it. I'm not a coach but it doesn't take one to realize that when there is a ton of pressure you throw screens and short quick passes.
  6. So much for being the best run defense in the league huh? Lol I knew eventually someone was going to run on us. We got torched.
  7. Holy cow I don't even know what to say of how unbelievably pathetic this offense is.
  8. Atleast he isn't Todd Collins and he can run.
  9. Honest to god this coaching staff has no brains. Collins can't even complete a pass when he has time. Ugh why am I even watching this game?
  10. Why isn't Caleb Hanie in the game? He's a better quarterback than the old man that's in there now.
  11. Kyle Orton also has the best offensive line in football, keep that in mind. With that said he's still a pretty solid quarterback.
  12. Hey look a little guy powered it in there for a yard and got a touchdown with 3 guys on him. Wish we had a back like that..
  13. There goes our defense. About to be 10-zip
  14. Simply horrendous. Once again Matt Forte can't get the 1 yard we need.. Put Melton in and power it in there! He used to be a RB at Texas and knows a thing or two about getting tough yards.
  15. Well were going to be forced to run the ball now. Collins isn't going to throw the ball 20 times this half. Might not throw it 10. So with a concussion you can't come back in the game right? Not that it would be smart to bring him out here, just wondering.
  16. Forte is so bad at running the ball, he doesn't even know how to find a hole. Did you see that cutback? lol wtf was that?!
  17. Put Hanie in. Cutler's given up. Get rid of the damn ball or throw it out of bounds!
  18. The Bears should elect to punt on first down. They'll get more yards out of it than their offense. Maybe they'll eventually wind up close enough to kick a fieldgoal.
  19. I'm embarrassed to be watching this team. Martz, like Turner, fails to adjust during the game and Cutler has given up because he knows somebody is going to miss a block ever time he snaps the football. This is god awful. I don't think I can remember seeing a worse performance in a half so far in a Bears game than today. Might have to go back to the days of Johnathon Quinn and Craig Krenzel.
  20. Looks close but I think Manning's arm was going forward as the ball came out.
  21. This is also what happens when you don't have a quality running back on the team. Emphasis on the word RUNNING.
  22. EARTH TO MIKE MARTZ!!! Stop sending receivers on 20 yard routes that take more than 3 seconds to develop! Is it not obvious to you by now that those plays haven't a chance in hell? How bout throwing some screens and short routes to shake the pressure since we have the worst offfensive line in football and we have a quarterback that aparently wants to hold on to the ball forever.
  23. HOW freakin HARD IS IT TO UNDERSTAND YOU NEED TO GET RID OF THE freakin BALL EARLY WITH THIS OFFENSIVE LINE?!
