God that means were going to get stuck with Martz. And if that happens can you say Epic Fail??

I don't know, I doubt it. If I'm not mistaken I think Shanahan IS the OC for his own team because he calls the offensive plays. Bates was just his QB coach. If he has the opportunity to come in here as the offensive coordinator I'd think he would sooner take that promotion over leaving college to go back to a QB coaching job in the NFL.

There are two things that really angered me. 1. Ted Phillips talking about continuity and how it gives us the best chance to win. If we have missed the playoffs 3 straight years in a row, does that lead you to believe that things are going the right way and that change is not in order? 2. Lovie saying the thing that absolutely no fan wants to hear and that is about his crappy scheme. He uses the line "Well it worked when we went to the Superbowl so you know it will work." Does this guy think WE are that stupid or is HE that stupid? I mean come on! It's obvious that this problem can't be fixed in one year, you need the perfect players to work in the cover 2 scheme and we have aging veterans who are no longer playing up to where they were 4 years ago when we were one of the best defenses in the NFL. Why not change to a 3-4? The NFL has adjusted to the Cover 2, but Lovie thinks we can just do the same thing over and over again and expect different results. Isn't that the definition of insanity?! Screw the scheme, I'm sick and tired of it.

10 minutes until the press conference.

Thank God!

OMG I am so pissed off right now! Not that Turner's gone but that freaking 0-16 ROD MARENELI is the defensive coordinator! He knows nothing about being a coordinator, hell I'd rather stick with Lovie if that is the case.

Well my hopes for a fruitful season lasted about 24 hours.. So hopefully that means we wait 1 more year for Cowher who supposedly isn't coaching this year. -

I'm glad he ended the season with his TD's ahead of his INT's. He actually ended in the top 10 in TD passes. I think in the last two weeks you finally saw him relax and take what the defense gave him. He didn't force anything today against the Lions, if passes weren't there he threw it away. If he can continue that into next year he and the Bears will have a much better season.

Forte could become a pro bowl running back but we are going to need a great offensive line around him. He is not quick or fast enough to be a special running back. The good backs have a burst when they see a hole and they run right through it. Forte has been hesitant all year even when there were holes. I hate to say it but the guy we probably should have drafted was Jamal Charles who's now putting up eye popping statistics every game; and KC's offensive line is nothing to write home about. With that said, I do think Matt Forte is a better running back than he showed this season. However, we need a speedy guy to compliment him next year to take some carries away from him. Even Forte himself admitted he would like someone to help him in the run game.

Jeez Aromashodu with another touchdown. This guy is #1 material. Cutler definitely has a connection with him.
-
It's going to be tied after this Lions drive. Wow..
-
I was thinking the opposite. We need somebody with speed. I'm talking about a 4.3 4.2 type of running back. It's too bad Daniel Manning is a defensive player because I think he'd make a pretty good RB..
-
I can't wait until this entire coaching staff is gone. One week the Vikings can't stop us, the next week we can't do anything against the Lions.. Talk about a boresville football game..
-
STOP RUNNING THE BALL! We are going no where! Throw the F'n football, we haven't been able to run all season.
-
Why the hell is Hester starting for Aromashodu now? For god sakes..!

Bears 38-7

I just love the way Manning runs when he returns kicks. He runs with such power and speed that whenever he starts his run I feel like he's going all the way everytime. It used to be that way with Hester except he seems to have lost a step since becoming a WR. I would hate to try and tackle Daniel Manning in the open field. I know they clock Knox with a faster 40 time than Manning but truthfully, there is nobody faster than Daniel Manning in the league running back a kickoff.
-
We have to keep Daniel Manning. He's becoming a pretty good defensive player and is IMO the best kickoff returner in the league.
-
where is Orlando Pace on that list??
-
That's basically what I had in mind. I could see Aromashodu become a #1 receiver or a #2 receiver if we can get Marshall. I don't see how we can just make Knox disappear after the year he had this year. He reminds me alot of Desean Jackson without the cockiness. He could also become a great #1 #2 or #3 receiver. He has alot of potential but I think right now he's a perfect fit as our slot receiver. I think we should just make Hester a PR/KR only. He's not a bad receiver but he's not a #1 and we have D.A and Knox out there that are going to need playing time and they have more potential than Hester does at WR.

Did anyone else notice the refs helping Farve up?

I was actually just thinking about that last night when I saw it. They need to rename MNF "Favre Love Fest" Because that's all it was last night. -
If we lose now next week against the Lions Lovie still may be gone but you're right. This victory will most likely be enough of an excuse for the front office to keep him next year. I hope not but we'll see..

Tillman taken immediately to the hospital...

I think I'm more worried about Knox. I pray it's not an ACL or he may be out all of next year.. Hopefully it's a sprain or something that won't keep him from missing time next year.
