We have played against crap teams for the most part so far this year and got real lucky in the Detroit game. We will see what were made of after this Dolphins game Thursday night when we play the Eagles, the Jets, Packers, and Patriots later in the year. I will say Marinelli deserves most of the credit for keeping our defense in top form this year. That's the only reason we are where we are after some putrid performances from the offense. Special teams and the reemergence of Devin Hester has played a huge role as well. If we make the playoffs, Lovie comes back unfortunately. I just hope to hell we aren't stupid enough to give him another extension if we go 11-5 or 10-6.

I'm just saying, sooner or later he has to do some work himself. He's got to get to the quarterback and bring him down. I remember Alex Brown having this same problem. It always seemed like right before he could bring the QB down for the sack he got rid of it. I will say that Peppers has had an impact on this team though, especially early on he wrecked havoc in the Packers game and had a big play in the Carolina game. It's just hard to say he's playing at an All Pro level when the guy only has 2 sacks on the year ya know?

Glad I didn't see it then because I'm sure Dilfer had something bad to say about Cutler, as if he has any room to talk about being a good quarterback..

The thing is, the Bears didn't pay Peppers to just bring double teams and make 1-2 tackles a game. He's GOT to get sacks. This is something he's dealt with his whole career and he's still found a way to pick up sacks. I don't know what his deal is but I'm sure the Bears are expecting more from Peppers than they have gotten so far this year.

I could see Matt Forte being out of the league in a couple of years. He's the worst starting RB in football.
