Seriously, have you heard anything about Rashied Davis in training camp? I have heard every receivers name BUT his so far. He's on his way out. The only way he sticks with the teams is because one of the WR's blows it in preseason.
I'd say Rashied Davis gets cut (Which he should) and Iglesias becomes the Earl Bennett of last year; meaning he won't dress or play many games. It looks like the depth chart is something like, Hester, Bennett, Rideau, D.A, Knox, Iglesias.
If you guys didn't hear the All Access interview with Cutler, Olsen, and Matt Forte yesterday it was probably thee best interview I've ever listened too! They were poking jokes at Zach Zaideman (sp?) and just being loose, talking like normal human beings instead of the cliche answers you are used to hearing from them. There should be a link to it on 670 the score.
I was there today. I saw it happen but it didn't look bad. I saw them bump into each other as they both went up for the pass. I saw him go down and my first thought was the knee and then I figured he had a hip pointer because the trainers were working that area. I'm surprised how many times players get injured in training camp. I've been to Bears camp a few times over the years and there practices never seem all that tough. Maybe it was a freak thing but we need this guy to be healthy.
I'd like to see Matt get the LT treatment in preseason. I think he should play the last preseason game and that's about it. He gets so many carries and receptions for this team that he needs all the rest he can get.
With Cutler here, anything is possible. We went to the super bowl with Rex Grossman for God sake. If our defense is 3/4 as good as it was that year we can win it because Jay and Forte will pick up the offense.
I can't freaking wait until the first preseason game! I want to see Cutler to Hester for TD's! Forte dashing through the holes bruising defenders, wearing them out for Kevin Jones and allowing Cutler to have more room to throw!
I thought 20 was generous if anything. Personally I think Lovie is one of the worst coaches in the NFL and he's so damn stubborn and annoying.
He refused to change the cover 2 when it was consistently getting destroyed by guys like Dan Orlovksky and crap QB's that have no business being in the NFL.
Him firing Rivera was bad, and hiring is buddy Babich was even worse.
Basically I feel like I'm repeating what ML just mentioned a few posts above. Lovie at 20 is about where he should be and could possibly be a little higher. If we have another bad year next year I'm hoping Bill Cowher comes our way.
It sounds like from what I've read Cutler is pushing this kid to step up hinting that he can be a possible threat as he's 6'3. With the lack of talent at WR I wouldn't be surprised if he ends up starting. He'll definitely make the team unless he has an awful preseason.
We have more than enough DLineman, Mareneli was brought in for a reason, to enhance their play. There were other glaring needs this team could have covered. The first guy, okay. That last pick was just stupid.
