Darn I liked Rideau alot. He reminded me of Randy Moss when I saw him in camp. He also had a great preseason. Sure he had a dropped ball or two but the good outweighed the bad. Hopefully we can get him again down the line sometime.

Well I was wrong, shame on Briggs. You'd think athletes would know by now, especially on the Bears and Bengals that you just can't conduct this kind of behavior. Obviously they can't have him take any tests for suspicion of DUI because he left the scene and by that he could have sobered up or get hammered if they chose to test him the next day or something.

There is absolutely no way he would have left. Someone definitely would have seen him and it would have been reported in the story either about speculation or that he did leave. I mean honestly it would be pretty easy to see someone get out of a car and get picked up in another car or leave the scene by walking or running away. My guess is somebody stole the vehicle.

My first half analysis.. Passing Game: It has looked pretty good thus far. Rex is throwing it down field well. The only routes he has problems throwing and routes I cannot stand are the flats. Its just not a good angle to complete a pass and it rarely gets you any yardage. I think Berrian has proved himself worthy of being the number 1 receiver on this team. His speed mixed with his uncanny ability to re adjust to the football has boded well with Rex's cannon of an arm. Bradley had one bonehead play but came up big with a fabulous catch and run that put Chicago in good position to score a touchdown which they did. Still a small room for improvement but it looks good so far. Running Game: Like I eluded to earlier, its been pretty bad so far. I don't think its necessarily Cedric's fault. When I watch him run it doesn't look like hes doing anything wrong as far as bursting threw a hole or cutting back, I don't know whats wrong with the run blocking by the o line but that has got to change. I guess that is what preseason is for. I hope Benson can create some big runs in the second half because Rex could always use some big runs to soften up the coverage. Player of the Half: Rex Grossman- 13/20 211 yards 2 TD 1 INT Despite having that fumble and that interception he's been sharp on almost all of his passes. I wish they'd eliminate that stupid flat route, I hate it so much and all QB's are going to have tough reads on that because its such a hard pass to get through coverage and you never quite know how to gauge the throw because the corner can sorta shortcut the pass like Harris did and run it back for 6. If I would name another POTH it'd be Berrian.

That doesn't mean I can't have reason for concern.

And there all getting older. You can't tell me Thomas Jones would have faired any better than Cedric with the kind of blocking hes been getting this preseason.

Im a little concerned with our run blocking. Our longest run all preseason was 17 yards by MAYNARD! Cedric has pretty much done all he can with the holes he's been getting I don't think its his fault. These O linemen need to push up the field a little more. We gotta get it going. Rex has transformed back to bad Rex again....

Can't blame the defense there. As far as im concerned its still 17-0.

Cedric has shown great vision so far in the preseason. His cutbacks have been well timed and he moves the pile unlike Thomas Jones who almost seemingly never broke a tackle. His blocking skills have improved a great deal as evidence to that big pass play that Ditka eluded to earlier. I like him as a running back, now he has the chance to prove that he can be a featured back.

Why do they have Berrian out there for punt returns when he's asked to just fair catch it everytime? Makes no sense!

Well damn, Grossman fumbles AGAIN! WTF is up with him? Then he throws a perfect pass to an unaware Mark Bradley. This kid is going to be a big disappointment. Im not too high on him, I don't know what he will amount too.

I don't see this as being a problem. Granted LT isn't injured but he hasn't played one preseason game since his rookie year and all that rest has sure payed off big time in the regular season. I wouldn't mind Harris not playing a game this preseason because it gets him well rested for when it counts. Besides we don't want to rush him back because he could re-aggravate that hamstring. Once the regular season starts, he will play. Nothing to worry about. Were getting a good look at Dusty which is good I guess.

What a stupid play by Griese. Those 1 yard pass plays aren't going to ever get you a 1st down. How did he not see about 6 defensive players waiting to wrap the receiver up? Give me Orton!!

Mark Anderson continues to shine. He's made atleast 4 tackles against the run which is quite impressive considering 2 of them came in goaline situations.

The Griese sucking continues. I don't know why Orton isn't the number 2 QB already, Griese has looked pathetic so far in camp. He's thrown atleast 1 INT each day.

Hmmm, thats probably all were going to see of our first team unfortunately.

So no Tommie, and no Urlacher, they're all resting. Our defense still looks like there getting after it, and I'd really like to see alot of Jamar Williams. He could be Brigg's replacement next year so I'll enjoy watching him do well.

It'll be on NBC like always with Ditka and the other guy. So for those of you atleast somewhat close to Chicago, you'll get it. We live about 120 miles away and get it so im sure you all will have no problem.
