  1. Were getting great pressure on Hasselbeck but Tillman how can you let him complete that 3rd and long pass to Jackson?????
  2. That was offsides Talk about a fast game, only 3 minutes and some change left in the 1st.
  3. Thomas Jones is looking good early, just what the Bears need to do. Rex had a great throw over the middle and Rashied made a tremendous catch. Now, BEAR DOWN DEFENSE!!
  4. Well for one they had the field covered up for the most part so it didn't get as wet and they brushed it off with the gigantic brooms.
  5. The key just like any other game is to pressure Matt Hasselbeck into bad decisions early in the game. Also we need to establish Bears football by running the ball early and throw it mid game and finish it off by pounding the rock late in the game if we have a lead. I expect Rex to look solid a little better than last years game. Benson is going to have a huge game, MARK MY WORDS!
  6. Vasher, but I can see a way we can resign both of them. We need to let go of Mike Brown as much as he is important to our defense he is injury prone and has been the last 3 years. I want to see Brandon Mcgowan take over but then again he has had a short history of injuries as well so..
  7. The conditions are horrible today, just saw it on ESPN the grounds crew washing washing up all the water off the field. Its going to be tough to run today with all the water so who knows?
  8. We better come out hot or we will rely on Grossman too much which creates more chances for turnovers in costly situations. If we do advance to the NFC Championship game or the Superbowl there WILL come a time where Grossman needs to be Grossman the first 5 games of the season, wether he will do that is a mystery. Stay tuned...
  9. Rex will bounce back, he was bad last game so he is due for a good game hopefully it stays that way to the superbowl. I see our defense most focused on stoping Hasselbeck first, that is the key as was the last game they played them in. If you rattle the quarterback (The Leader of the team) you rattle the team. I hope Mark Anderson and the boys have a party at the QB and a turnover here and there would help. My prediction of the game: Bears win 17-13
  10. Should be a good game, I will be devestated if we lose. I find it funny how when we beat them week 4 the Bears were saying, "We can expect a much better performance from them, especially since we could meet up with them in the playoffs". That time is now!
  11. What worries you most about the upcoming game next weekend? Is it the defense or the offense? To me, the defense is my biggest worry. Why? Because last year it was indeed our defense that lost us the game against a good player named Steve Smith and even when we had Mike Brown and Tommie Harris. In this years game we won't have them and we still might go up against a very prolific passing offense and a better quarterback than Delhomme in Matt Hasselbeck. The offense doesnt worry me as much because I expect a healthy dose of Cedric Benson and Thomas Jones especially on a bad running defense in Seattle which ranks 22nd in the NFL in that category and the Eagles rank worse than that at 26th. If we try and minimize Grossman's passes and get a lead early, it will make things run much smoother and our defense better come ready to play.
  12. It would have also helped if we had a guy named Devin Hester last year...
  13. Of course, the superbowl... what else?
  14. I agree with what your saying but Orton was a rookie, could'nt we expect this? I mean, he didn't even expect to start and was thrown into the fire after Grossman got injured and then Hutchinson was let go. I would admit, I was extremley frustrated everytime I saw the lack of offense out there when Orton would give it right back to the team. BTW, MY 1,000 th post!!!
  15. Bottom line is, it's your job and there is no excuse for lack of preperation.
  16. Uhm, find me where I said Kyle Orton should start? Quit puting words in my mouth. I never said ONCE that Kyle Orton was a better player than Rex Grossman. Since week 6 Grossman has been up and down the rest of the season and its a cause for concern since we are the number 1 seed in the playoffs. You clearly exagerate everything I say. I really don't know how to respond when all of your comments do not revert back to my thoughts which are Orton can be a good player if he gets time and he shouldn't be thrown under the bus completley by most Bear fans.
  17. Im not sure what you don't understand. Kyle Orton was a rookie last year that lead us to 10 wins which IIRC only 1 other rookie has done that and that is Ben Roethlisberger. I never said start Orton, what I said was I wouldn't be suprised if he works hard this summer on improving his skills he can become a solid NFL quarterback. The defense has been a huge part of Rex's wins this season for instance the WHOLE Arizona game. I don't seem to remember our defense coming out that big for Orton last year. I think our defense is (was before injuries) more dominate than last seasons. Rex has only a few more games under his belt than Orton does because of his history of injuries but the way he played against Greenbay cannot be dismissed and Griese and Orton have just as much hope to play in the playoffs as Rex does because he certainly didn't prove it last week. With all of this said, I want Rex as our playoff starter. He is capable of driving us to the Superbowl.
  18. That Orton did this as a rookie and Grossman did it in his 4th year as a pro.
  19. The Bears would be foolish to let go of Lovie Smith right now. The only way I would consider looking for a new coach is if Lovie and the Bears don't get it done this season and next season as far as winning a few playoff games. If the Bears lose their first game this season then you can start to worry and I would say you could start talking if they repeat that next year.
