  1. I expected better from this team going up against an 0-5 team. The offense is moving the ball, but a lack of redzone execution is really hurting their chances to take the game over. The defense has put up no resistance whatsoever and getting no pressure on the QB. The Lions offensive line is awful. It seems like if McPhee isn't making something happen, this defense can't do anything. He hasn't made an impact on the game yet. Seems like the D goes as he goes.
  2. Rigged game. Officials trying to make up for previous bad calls against the Lions.
  3. Of course as soon as I say that..
  4. I have yet to see a DB turn his head around on a deep ball the whole year. If I were the opposition, that's all I would do. Throw deep and you can score easily. This defense lacks playmakers and nobody seems interested in intercepting passes.
  5. Defense playing more like how they did the first 2 weeks of the season. This is brutal to watch.
  6. Cutler had Royal for 6 if he threw a better ball. Bennett loses another one that hit his hands. Not the best start to the season by him. Can't expect to get paid if you aren't showing up on Sundays.
  7. Really bad redzone execution. If they lose this game, that will be the reason.
  8. And the officiating so far has been awful too. Not even close to a facemask.
  9. Another implosion on defense.
  10. Love the play call. TD Bears!
  11. I don't understand why Eddie Royal can't return punts. I would take ANYBODY else other than Mariani at this point.
  12. Bennett also needs to start catching passes again. Way too many critical drops. That one bounced right out of his hands.
  13. McMannis and Fuller are some of the worst cover corners in football. Tracy Porter is the only half-reliable CB on this roster. Combine that with no pressure on the quarterback and you get a bad defense. Fangio needs to dial up something quick or this will happen all game.
  14. Wow that was a pathetic defensive series.
  15. I haven't watched much of him in the two games he's started, but he seems to be holding up much better as a LT than he ever did as a RT. A lot of people in the media have been pointing out how good he's looked. Going up against one of the best pass rushing combos in the league today can't be easy. Perhaps the Bears have indeed found some value with their 7th round pick. Marquess Wilson also appears to be coming into his own a little bit as well, which is great to see. That's what this year is all about. Building up the players you think might have a future here.
  16. My take on Jay has always been if Eli Manning, a guy who's lead the league in INT's 3 times in his career, can win a Superbowl, Jay Cutler can as well. The guys around him just have to make up for his inconsistencies, which is always less than ideal. The Giants did it with a pass rush and physical rushing attack with weapons on the outside. The Bears are trying to do that as well, but it's going to take a few years to build it. Cutler might not be around long enough to reap the benefits.
  17. Completely slipped my mind about the lateral move. Although, Fangio very well could, and probably should, get a HC look as well.
  18. The kid that filled in for him has already made more plays than he has all year.
  19. I had no idea the Bears were already ranked as the #7 best defense in the NFL before this game. Now, they're last in ppg, but that Cardinals game really skewed the numbers a bit with Clausen in for half the game, as well as the special teams allowing free points all over the place, not just in that game, but in every game this season. I bet if you adjusted the ppg for the awful special teams play, they'd be in the top half of the league in that category as well.
  20. Gase was going to keep Fangio with him in SF had he been hired. The 49'ers wanted him to keep Tomsula instead, and Gase said no. Got to think that connection will stick if and when he eventually gets hired. It's really going to suck because they are both two of the best at their respective jobs.
  21. Further proof why Fangio is wildly accepted as the best D-Coordinator in football. I just fear he and Gase will leave after the year when Gase inevitably gets a HC gig.
  22. That was the craziest Bears game I've seen in a while.
  23. This is insane. My heart's in my chest.
