  1. 1st team offense and defense looked bad. Vereen looked like Conte out there and Fuller got beat on numerous occasions as well. Offense didn't start moving the ball until Miami quit playing their 1st stringers. Too many penalties. That said-- the 2nd and 3rd teamers looked a lot better. That #57 kid from Washington looks like he could be a hidden gem at LB'er.

    SMC

It's kind of funny to think about just last year we were talking up the signings of Jared Allen, Lamar Houston, and Willie Young, and to think a year later all of them are going to be backup LB'ers. Expensive ones at that. Based on the information available, it certainly sounds like the starting LB'er group is going to be McPhee, McClellin, Jones, and Acho.
  3. They can go freak themselves. Just do it anyways. There is no way they can enforce anything against it. They can't take your phone.
  4. I literally had no idea who Ryan Groy was until today, and I saw he started 3 games last year. lol. I wonder if Fangio is toying around with the idea of converting Wells to SS. He is a little undersized at 222 LB's to play LB'er at the moment.

    Finally

He said something to the effect of him not doing much of anything on grass yet. It definitely didn't sound like he'd be back anytime soon. I hate to think of the worst, but he's been out for over a month and still can't do much of anything outside of pool work. He's also a guy that can't afford to miss much of any time in the off-season because of how raw he is. This could set him back a year depending on how long he has to sit out.

    Finally

Very concerned about White and the fact that our other top pick is out of shape. Not a good first start for Ryan Pace's draft class.
  7. I am really interested to see how the LB'er group shakes out with the starters and who claims that last safety spot next to Rolle. I would love to see Amos be that guy. I really liked his physical profile and think he has the talent to be a stud. For the D-Line, my ideal starting group would be: Ratliff, Goldman, Houston LB'ers: McPhee, Foster, Jones, Young CB's: Fuller, Louis-Jean, Jennings (NB) Saftey's: Amos, Rolle
  8. I'd love to see it. I'm just glad they finally made some improvements a few years ago when everybody switched to Nike. The previous ones were easily one of the ugliest in the NFL. Now they are pretty average.
  9. He got arrested AGAIN today.. what a freak up.
  10. I said it was a moronic signing to begin with. Looks like I was right. Can't believe there were people that were trying to talk themselves into this signing. This is a BAD guy. Point blank.
  11. They still need another corner..
  12. Loving this draft right now.
  13. Langford seems like he has a similar skill set to Matt Forte. They may see him as his replacement for the 2016-2017 season. He's going to be 24 in December so he's probably only got a good 6 years in him to produce. Don't really like that. But for a 4th rounder, it's not that big of a deal.
  14. Remember that John Fox likes to rotate his RB's. Would not surprise me if the Bears used all 4 throughout the course of the season or games. They did in Denver.
  15. Meh.. Hard to believe the Bears are going with BPA if this was the pick.
  16. Supposedly this kid can play anywhere on the D-Line. Fangio loves versatility so this pick doesn't surprise.
  17. Was hoping for Gregory but this pick makes sense. Nice draft from Ryan Pace so far. Much better than his predecessor..
  18. Lot of 1st round talent still on the board. The Bears should be able to draft another day 1 starter with their 2nd round pick.
  19. Shelton makes no sense at 7. Very few NT's are drafted that high, and if they are, they're usually 3 down players. The fact that he ran the slowest 40 time ever doesn't exactly excite me much either.
  20. If it's just the pick swaps and Cutler, I'm all for Mariota. I wouldn't trade a 2nd rounder or a future 1st on top of it though, no way. Hell, it really wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if he sucked in year 1 and the Bears ended up right back here next year with a high pick. As long as it's not because he's 'Shea McClellin out of the league bad' and it's just your typical rookie QB struggles. Who knows, maybe he's actually really good and leads us into playoff contention right away. Cam Newton didn't call much of an offense either at Auburn and he had a fantastic rookie season. I think Mariota could possibly have similar impact.
  21. Some Titans insider tweeted on the rumor and basically said the interest is legit. The Bears are still desperate to get rid of Cutler.
  22. Lots of people think he's the best prospect in this draft. I've also heard that coaches and gm's don't love him as much as the media does.
  23. Starting to believe in the Mariota connection to Chicago. When you look back at the timeline, the signs are there. There was a report last month with Mariota talking about the Bears being "very interested". Last week Ryan Pace said that he would not be afraid to take him if he fell to #7. And now this rumor. Up until recently, I always felt like the Bears might be trying to sell a smokescreen, and they still might be, but this is now the 3rd or 4th time I've seen his name being thrown around in Chicago. We'll see.. I don't think they will end up getting him, but I do believe they really like him.
  24. Jason Cole from Bleacher Report is reporting the Bears are trying to trade Cutler to the Titans for the 2nd pick to draft Mariota. I'm assuming the Bears and Titans would swap picks as well. Can't see this getting done unless the Bears are willing to part with another high pick. Pace said last week that he wouldn't be afraid to take Mariota at 7 if he was there. Thought it was all smokescreen before this news came out. Maybe he's sincere.
  25. Well I don't think LB'er depth is a problem anymore. What do they got, like 20 now?
