The Bears have scored 6 points against a defense that has allowed the 2nd most PPG in the league. The offense is not getting the job done right now.

Run defense still sucks.

Ratliff in and got some push immediately. Good sign. Steltz showing his value against the run against a QB who can't throw the ball downfield very well. So far so good, but a lot of game left.

The Bears are literally a worse defense with him on the field. He can't set an edge. He physically and mentally can't do it, which is why you saw so many misdirections ran in his direction. David Bass deserves more snaps.

It is very much a week to week league in the NFL, but it's looking more and more like the only chance the Bears have at making the playoffs is to win the division. The Bears lose pretty much every tie breaker against their other NFC competitors, which only makes winning the division out right that much more important. The way this defense has played all year, it doesn't seem likely they'll be any better than an 8-8/9-7 team, and that won't be enough to get in. If they lose to Minnesota next week, the season is basically over. If Ratliff can be 75% of the player he was in Dallas, their chances increase dramatically.

Adrian Peterson will shatter the single game rushing record again next week.
