The Good:
- Josh McCown
- Matt Forte
- David Bass
The Okay:
-Alshon Jeffery
The Bad:
- Coaching
- Penalties
Thoughts:
-Josh McCown continues to play well in place of Cutler.
-Matt Forte wasn't spectacular, but he made several huge plays in both the pass/run game today.
-David Bass flashed on a couple of plays today, including an athletic pick 6 while Ray Rice was about to take out his legs.
-Jeffery had too many balls fall on the ground today. Nearly two fumbles lost. Luckily he's still making plays and not letting the bad ones get to him. He's slowly becoming one of the best #2 receivers in this league.
-The coaching was abysmal once again tonight. Not quite as bad as last week but pretty close. Trestman's clock management is so bad right now, I have no idea what he's doing or thinking. To not call timeouts at the end there to give your offense a chance to respond before OT was ridiculous. He's lucky they didn't get a TD and end the game right there because that would have caused fans to go bezerk. I thought the playcalling was inconsistent as hell. I did not like the conservative calls with 8 minutes left to go in the game. I understand slowing the game down, and allowing time to chew off the clock, but I'm talking about the play calling itself. Too many run plays called in that situation where they could have iced the game with more points.
- Way too many penalties tonight. That stuff can't happen.
- Defense sucked early, were okay in the middle, and sucked late. They made a few nice plays to get turnovers, but I can't stand how often they give up 3rd and longs. Damn near lost the game at the end, too.
