  1. It will be interesting to see which WR's make the roster this year. We know Jeffery, Bennett, and Marshall will be on there. Weems, Hester, and Anderson are the question marks. Anderson showed last year that he's capable of being a big special teams contributor, so he could have an inside track to making the team. I also really like what he showed as a pass catcher in the preseason as well. I don't think you can have both Weems and Hester taking up a roster spot. At least one of them has to go. That leaves one spot left (If they choose to carry 6 WR's) for a rookie, likely either Harrison or Wilson. The other guy could end up on the taxi squad.
  2. They traded up with somebody (Patriots, I think?) to get Patterson. They had two to begin with by virtue of the Harvin trade.
  3. I see they signed Mark Harrison. This guy is big. 6'3, 230 pounds at WR.
  4. I agree with those. I'd also put Minnesota up there because of the 3 first round picks.
  5. Overall, I thought the Bears draft was decent. Similar the way I viewed last year's. Still not a fan of the 1st round pick.
  6. He draws comparisons to Jonathon Baldwin, who Emery helped scout while he was with KC.
  7. They traded back with Atlanta a couple rounds ago.
  8. 3 LB's? EDIT: Nvm. He's listed at 265. I see tweets about him being projected as a 3-4 OLB. His measurables are incredible. I guess he's big enough to play some DE though if need be.
  9. More training camp competition on the offensive line. The Bears have a lot of bodies now, there.
  10. Why? Do I have to like any of them? I'm okay with Bostic, but I saw him more as a WLB than a Mike. Greene is a similar player who also looks to belong as a weakside LB. We'll see where they end up here.
  11. I envy the 49'ers and the way they draft.
  12. Both Bostic and Greene project to outside LB's in a 4-3 scheme. Unless Emery wants to force Bostic into playing MLB, this pick is a bit of a head scratcher.
  13. I have a very meh reaction to this pick.
  14. No idea why the Giants felt compelled to trade up for a quarterback.
  15. Josh Boyce to New England.. Ugh.. The receivers are dropping like flies.
  16. Hard to see them taking Denard Robinson. He's a WR who's never played the position before. After what just transpired with Devin Hester, I can't envision them replacing him with another guy who doesn't have a true position.
  17. From a value standpoint the Bears came out the worst. The Long pick was a reach and Bostic could be viewed as a little bit of a reach as well. It remains to be seen how they will turn out as players, but the Bears did not get great value out of their draft picks so far. The Vikings got tremendous value out of their picks. Floyd, Rhodes, Patterson? That's a nice 1st day. The Packers got Lacy at the tail end of the 2nd round. Many thought he was the consensus #1 RB in the draft. Bill Polian had him in the top 10 of his Big board. I'm not an advocate of taking RB's high, Adrian Peterson notwithstanding, so the fact that they were able to get Lacy in the 2nd was great value. The Lions got good value out of Warford in the 3rd.
  18. They took a freakin center as their first round pick. Lmao. Guy was a projected 3rd round pick.
  19. He honestly reminds me of a young Lance Briggs. Turns out they are identical in height and weight. Even have similar builds. Emery says he's a 3 position LB, which he may be, but from the looks of it, he looks most like a future Weakside LB to me.
  20. I wish.. Arizona just got themselves a hell of a play maker if he can stay away from trouble.
  21. Honey Badger off the board.. Damn it. Peterson and Mathieu back together again. It will be interesting to see which guy takes over return duties. I'm assuming it'll be Mathieu.
