  1. I've been adding some cool songs to my playlist in order to get pumped up and stuff. That and just distracting myself with anything that I can. Movies, music, TV, women, etc... I think I'll watch most of the pregame stuff tomorrow too.
  2. Even on the neutral site, how do they determine the "home" team? Best overall record? But the "visiting" team gets to call head or tails right?
  3. I can't wait to hear all the ESPN radio guys talk about this weekend. Especially Cowherd, he wanted so badly for the Bears to lose. Should be funny to hear him bitch and moan about it.
  4. I'm kind of disappointed that we are only like a 7 point underdog. Was hoping that Vegas would have us at least a 10 point dog. This team is more focused and intense than I ever thought that they could be. Doing all of this without Tommie and Mike too. How awesome is that?
  5. I'm going to enjoy this NFC Championship win for a few days.
  6. Man, I'm so SICK of hearing about the Saints. How great they are, how they mean so much to Saints fans, how bad they'll beat the Bears, how all the experts predict that they'll win, how bad they'll beat up our defense. I'm sick of it ALL. I almost want this win more to just shut up Saints fans than for the Bears to go to the SB. I knew they would be picked to win this week, but DAMN! Anyway, hope I can sleep some tonight. I plan to drink a few beers to calm my nerves, just hope I don't drink too much. I hope Urlacher and Briggs kill some people tomorrow.
  7. Nice post, balta. I agree. The defense needs to muscle up, be pissed and go show everybody why they are one of the best defenses in the whole league.
  8. The worse the weather gets the more I think that Benson should have a huge game, IF we give it to him enough. But that's the big issue. Are they giving Cedric enough chances to shine? Also, will they work in Hester on offense for a play or two? And I think we need to work short passes to Dez Clark and Moose early in the game especially. And both lines need to have their most physical game of the year.
  9. A little harsh on Orton, but cute.
  10. I would love to add a few more playmakers but I think we need to first shore up both of our lines, especially on offense. We have good lines on both sides but there is definitely room for improvement there.
  11. They have beaten this Saints/Katrina connection into the ground far too much. It is great to be passionate for your team but it is still just a game. This is meant for fun and entertainment, not to solve world crises.
  12. Wouldn't surprise me if JA drafted a tight end this year after all the talk last year of needing a tight end.
  13. If the Bears win the Super Bowl, I could really care less how they do it. Get tons of luck that's great. You have to have fortune shine down on you to win it. Pretty much how it goes every year nowadays.
  14. I think it really sucks about Bradley. It would be a shame if this guy can't stay 100 percent healthy throughout his career because he can be a big time weapon. His injury looked ugly though.
  15. What do we need position wise? Which specific players do you like? What do you expect Angelo to do? Would love to hear some thoughts and opinions from you guys. According to Mel Kiper we will look to upgrade our offense at just about every postion. Do you agree? Discuss.
  16. Yeah I agree about Todd Johnson. Wasn't he supposed to start when he got back from injury? Apparently it means that he's either not 100 percent with the ankle or hasn't gotten back into football shape yet. He brings good power, better tackling and great instincts for a safety. Hopefully his role steps up against New Orleans.
  17. Yeah this game worries me a ton. The Saints are really good. There is just something about that team this year. Not to mention I'll get to hear it bad if we lose, watching it with a few Saints fans. I'm trying not to go into this game with too low of expectations. Let me tell you the Saints fans are cocky right now for sure. I hope the cold weather and snow comes, that'd be great but I wouldn't rely on it. I really hope that Lovie and Rivera gameplan around stopping the run, first and foremost. I was a little disappointed in our run defense against Seattle. The big guys like Scott, Boone and Idonajie (sp) should be able to plug up the middle right? Also, I'd go look at the Redskins at Saints game tape. I remember seeing some of that game and Washington was able to bat some balls down and contain Deuce. Brees is on the short side so that is something to think about. Put your arms up if you can't get to Brees! Also, keep everybody in front when the Saints get the ball. They love to hit on the deep pass. I'd rather make the Saints nickle and dime their way down the field, maximizing our chances to get turnovers. I'd also run Benson more this game and I'd try and work in a trick play or two that involves Hester. We'll need to score in the high 20's I think to win this game. I'm also worried a little bit about halftime adjustments. We need to be willing to change something if the going gets a little rough.
  18. Whew, I am so happy and yet so relieved at the same time. Great first half but disappointed that we didn't convert some opportunities in the second half. Dumb penalties, dropped passes, throws that were a little off... I think the Bears won today despite not playing their best game. But I do give credit to Seattle. They stayed composed, had a great game plan and showed that they were still a very good team. I was so nervous about Rex but I think we just have to stick with the guy through thick and thin because you know when he is on his game that he's awesome. Now, I live in Louisiana and I can tell you all the Saints fans are very cocky right now. I hope none of the experts give us a chance to win. Maybe we can ride the no respect card a little bit. I went out last night to a bar in Baton Rouge and got to talk some trash since I wore a Bears hat. PS, I love TJ but I think they need to get Benson involved because he gets better as he gets more carries in a game.
  19. Last weekend I watched the games with a group of about four or five friends. A buddy of mine has a huge HDTV so that'll be the plan I'm sure. Anyway, I cheer for the Bears loudly no matter what. When something goes wrong for the Saints I try to just hold back my pleasure as much as I can. Unless I feel like being a jerk.
  20. Thanks for fixing it. Man, living in Louisiana is tough because of all the Saints fans. I might actually cheer for them a tiny bit this year if I wasn't a die hard Bears fan. But I have to admit, I would get great pleasure if we kick their butts in the NFC championship game, IF that were to take place.
  21. I actually think that Aikman is pretty good, but those jokers called our last playoff game, ugh! But at least we get to see Pam Oliver...
  22. Maybe I should clear this up. I'm not assuming a Bears win verses Seattle. I was just getting into hypotheticals IF the Bears win. I just think it's fun to look ahead a little.
  23. Which team would match up the best against Chicago? Who do you think is going to win this game? Personally, I think the Saints have more talent and being favored to win, should win. I think the Saints on paper are more dangerous but the Eagles also scare me for certain reasons. I think the Bears might match up better against the Saints in style but I'd rather play Philly because they are without McNabb and Lito Sheppard. The Eagles have also played more games and should be tired and more banged up. I think the Bears could contain both Garcia and Westbrook to the point that it would be on our offense to go out and take the game. However against the Saints we'd have to worry about several playmakers that the Saints have on offense along with a QB in Brees that is better than Garcia. Also, I think the onus on the Bears offense would be higher in a Saints game than it would an Eagles game. But who knows for sure right? thoughts?
  24. I strongly believe that Alexander's straight ahead and up right running style plays right into our hands. So basically stopping Shaun should be a given, so all we need to do is get good rush on Hass. I really would like to see Wale and Alex step up. Seems like the play of these two guys has not been up to par lately, at least for their standards.
