    Quintin Demps

3 years 4.5 a year. Bears had 8 interceptions last year...Demps had 6 alone last year. 18 takeaways the last 4 years. Hes older but at this price I'll take it.
  2. Yeah, it's all about the guaranteed money to me. Again, I don't mind this. We all want Pace to get his guy and we know the Saints were high on him when Pace was over there. Glennon in a better situation might still have some upside, and I'm excited to see how it plays out.
  3. That really blows. He was my top target this year. Bears are said to have a big offer out there to Bouye, but early reports say he goes to the Jags. I'm not really interested in Logan Ryan either. Prince Amukamara and Mo Claiburne wouldn't be bad but they are both injury prone. I really wanted Gilmore and a 2R pick but now I think you gotta get that 2nd rounder and hope one of the young guys drafted last year step up.
  4. I'm with you. Torn between Adams and Hooker but leaning towards Adams.
  5. Funny you should mention he and Wilson, because I found a full game on Youtube from Glennons rookie year against the Seahawks. He completed 73% of his passes for 2 TDs and no INTs. I plan on watching it this weekend.
  6. I don't know about drafting 2 with all the other needs, but I would absolutely draft one. I wouldn't mind taking a waiver on Tim Wright who was sadly Tampa's 2nd best pass catcher in Glennons rookie year....Which isn't saying much considering he only had 500 yards. Shows you the type of situation he was in his rookie year as far as receivers go.
  7. Looking back at some advanced stats on Glennon from his rookie year... He had the 10th highest completion percentage on throws over 20 yards while also having the best TD/INT ratio of any QB in the top 10 of that category(7/1). He graded 2nd overall in throws between 21-30 yards. He was also "Among the league best" at throwing to the tight end.
  8. So give Glennon, a guy who the Saints(Pace), liked coming out of the draft a shot to play with a better OL. Adam, you're gonna be hard pressed to find a QB who has ad an awful OL and succeeded. Don't give me Rodgers either. The reason he gets sacked so much is because he tries to extend plays and holds onto the ball forever.
  9. Ya know who also had an equally, if not worse OL in his time as a starter? Mike Glennon.
  10. All I care is that they don't give him gaurented money for over 2 years. As I said in the other thread, Saints were high on Glennon coming out of the draft, so this might be Paces guy he wants to put his reputation on. Still think he has some upside if the OL keeps him upright. He played behind an offensive line that was absolutely horrendous, and then Lovie came in and handed the job to his boy McCown, and then Winston fell in their laps and its hard to pass on him. It was a bad situation for Mike and put in a better situation, I still think he could thrive. Personally I prefer Hoyer, but I'm willing to give this a shot before poo pooing on the move.
  11. FWIW, the Saints were said to be very high on Glennon coming out of the draft. So Pace might still love him from back then and he views him as his guy.
  12. Twice now you've knocked Peterman on his deep ball. Everything I've read on him says he has excellent deep ball accuracy. Plus, he can do all this, which is fun.... Lol
  13. Bucs offered Glennon 8mil a year which would be the biggest contract in history for a baxkup.
  14. Hopefully the Browns and San Fran fell in love with Watson and Trubisky.
  15. My ideal first 3 rounds at this point is. 1. J. Adams S 2. G. Conley CB 3. N. Peterman QB Bring back Hoyer for a year or 2 while you groom Peterman. Bring in Gilmore or Obouye to pair with Conley. Move Fuller to FS to compete with Bush.
  16. I've never really been that big on Allen anyway. I want Adams or Hooker. Adams sounds like the leader this defense needs while Hooker sounds like the ball hawk this defense needs. Its a toss up for me.
  17. Rumor floating around that this has ties to the Jets bringing in Marshall's former best bud Jay Cutler. Big trades rarely happen in the NFL, but if I was the GM, I would talk to the Jets about Jay and Jeffrey. Tell the Jets that if you don't wanna miss out on AJ and Jay in free agency then we will tag AJ and send both your way for one of your 3rd rounders.
  18. No to Geno and RG3. I would much rather have Tyrod Taylor or hell, give me Ryan Fitzpatrick. Fitz seems to be good every once in awhile and you might get lucky and he has a good year. He's also a smart guy who I think would be a great mentor for a rookie QB.
  19. I do think Glennon has more potential than Hoyer, but I would have zero problem going with Hoyer and a 3rd or 4th round pick. Glennon was sacked 40 times in 13 games his rookie year and then he was on pace for even more in year 2(16 in 6 games). Its hard for any NFL QB, let alone a rookie, to do any kind of damage behind a god awful offensive line.
  20. Rapaport is reporting that the Bears are interested in Mike Glennon. Probably won't be popular, but I have zero problem with this. You can still draft a QB in the 3-5 range(I'm falling for Peterman personally) and groom him a couple years. If Glennon grasps his potential then you can possibly put yourself in the position to trade him assuming your mid round draft pick pans out. Continue to build a young strong defense early in the draft. I want Adams and Conley in the 1st 2 rounds.
  21. As another poster said, comp picks are based on money lost vs money spent. So say Alshon signs for 15 mill, if the Bears spend more than 15 mill, the Bears don't get a pick. Hoyer is the only other guy who might get a couple mill elsewhere to beef up the chances of a comp pick.
  22. Ya gotta at least get something for him. It's a poor way of handling assets. Dumb. Dumb. Dumb. The whole "Oft injured" thing is a little overblown too. Had he not gotten suspended this year he would have played in every game 3 of the last 4 seasons.
  23. Whelp, here's hoping Meredith is for real and White can stay healthy. If not the Bears just created another hole. So now you have questions at WR, an injury plagued TE, and 2 suspect offensive tackles. Not really creating a good environment for a rookie QB to succeed.
  24. Not a popular answer, but I personally would wait a year to draft a QB high. I have zero faith in anyone at the top of the draft. I would rather sell out for defense then hope that the offense is bad enough to get you back in the top 5 next year to take one of the studs coming out next year. If Chad Kelly is there in the 4th I would take him and have him compete with Hoyer and Shaw. If he goes all Dak Prescott on us, great, if not, you have a young backup to one of the franchise guys coming out next year.
  25. I haven't had time to watch any film on him, but I do like that he is compared to Justin Smith who was a stud under Fangio.
