I really like Daniel McCullers as a 3rd round pick if we choose to play a 3-4. All reports I've seen say he has demanded double and sometimes triple teams in college, and he's still managed to be good against the run. Might even reach a little and take him in the 2nd since he'd be such a big need.

Probably wouldn't have mattered if they signed him now or later. I like it. Despite what some may think the OL hasn't been that great, and Forte is awful picking up the blitz so I'd like to see the Bears use more I and split back formations where Tony is the guy picking up the blitzes

No biggy there IMO. Give me Fiammetta or Britton all day so Forte isn't in there blocking.

Well here it is boys, the playoff run starts here. Sure Cutler is 1-7 vs the Pack BUT like Da Coach would say "Those who live in the past are cowards and losers". Last year the Pack got to Jay an alarming 11 times in 2 games....With no Clay Matthews around this time I believe things will be different. How will Rodgers react to contact? Will the Bears get contact on Rodgers? If ever there was a time to dial up some blitzes now would be the time. Can't let Aaron get comfortable back there. My prediction is Jay WILL outplay Rodgers, and the Bears WILL beat the Packers! 31-21 Daaaaaaaa Bears

No complaints here...If you're letting Tillman and Melton go you might even have enough $$ to bring in a proven stud safety like Jarius Byrd as well(even if Cutler id resigned around 12-15M a year). Not sure Swanson makes it to the 3rd round though. I can also see Ward shooting up the draft a bit after the senior bowl...Maybe get him in the 3rd and get an OC in the 4th.

Except this year he's actually the 14th most accurate in the NFL. Last year he was 18th, and actually, he's never even ranked in the top 5 % wise in his career. That kinda baffles me.

McCown doesn't seem like the type of guy who's going to plant seeds in hopes of getting a larger contract. I think he's being genuine when he says he might not return.

Also worth noting that Matthews is out, and 2 other of their best pass rusher Mike Neal and Nick Perry are listed as questionable. This game will be won in the trenches. I Jay gets time to throw he will go off.

Def doesn't sound like he wants to have a Gannon like career where he plays till he's 39 (fell of at 37). Can't fault him for this.

I don't know davey, San Fran has been playing better offensively since Crabtree came back, and they still have Frank Gore and Kaep who can run wild on the Bears if need be. I'll take my chances against the Saints outdoor in the cold all day. Brees is 2-6 in games under 40 degrees, and those 2 wins came against 4-12 teams. Also worth noting that Cutler went off against the Saints earlier this year even though they somehow lost. Saints give up 192 ypg through the air, Jay put up 358 2 TDs no picks.

My thinking behind the logic of hiring Tucker is with a team that returned 9 of its 11 starters they wanted to sign someone who was going to keep everything as close to the same as possible in a sort of "if it aint broke don't fix it kinda way". Mel obviously offered that with his willingness to even keep the same terminology....Just my hunch, and if true, it's not a bad thought process.....Just hasn't worked out

Hopefully captain neckbeard Kyle Orton can upset philly so the Bears would still be the 3 seed and most likely play the Saints out in the cold, I think we can win that game. Then we probably get the Panthers at home, more than likely without Steve Smith, that's a toss up right there. Then the NFC championship, probably against Seattle where the Bears probably lose...

I think this is silly....it might not be pretty in the playoffs but you've gotta give yourself a chance to catch lightning in a bottle. If we don't make the playoff people will be screaming that we failed. There is no winning. This isn't week 14 or something where they have to win 3 straight and the Pack have to lose 3 straight to get....Then ya maybe it's time to "tank", but right now its weeks 17 and all they need to do is win.

Lol it's just frustrating, money involved or not. Best record in the league, most points scored, averaging close to 200 points the last 3 weeks, then it all goes for naught. Harbaugh sitting Vernon Davis, and Shwartz going away from Bush (gave Theo Reddick more touches than Bush) really screwed me.

SMC just needs to be utilized as a 3rd and long DE.....Never have him out there for obvious running downs...

For a QB that hasn't been that good and was just a 4th round pick 2 years ago that's an awful lot to ask for. I'd take him for a 3rd, maybe a 2nd if Trestman likes him more some of the projected 2/3R guys in the draft. I'm still rather fond of this years draft class, I think if the Bears really wanted to they can draft a guy in the 3rd or 4th and whoever they get will still thrive in this offense. A LOT of talent available in this draft.
