  1. I firmly believe this as well. I've never seen so many wide open receivers than I have this year, and when they're not open? Just throw it up and let the big, athletic freaks, make plays. Like I previously said, I just don't know what I want next year. I think Jay has looked like a top 10 QB this year....but so has Josh....It's def a controversy... The only thing Josh has going against him is he still hasn't faced that great of a defense....He did play Baltimore, but that game was a mess, and like the announcers said in that game, it really benefited the offense.
  2. The decision between Jay and Josh is going to be one of the most interesting moves I've ever seen in my 15+ years of being a sports nut....I hate being "On the fence", it's something I don't recall ever being, but at this point I'm seriously "on the fence".
  3. How good would Kyle Orton look in this offense!? Bring em in.
  4. Not to diminish what he's done, but I had no idea their pass defense was THIS BAD. Shit has been way too easy. At this point, I think there's no wrong answer between the 2.....Cutler might get the boot but it's not because he's a bad quarterback, or even that McCown is better, just the fact that this offensive system is so incredibly easy to run that they can sign Blaine Gabbert and I don't think the offense would skip a beat.

Odd timing considering I don't think he's been that bad this game....Then again Dallas's D is just as injured and bad as the Bears D. Overall though I do agree that he should be cut next year.
  6. You've gotta be kidding me! This kid is special!
  7. The Saga continues.....Josh grows on me every week.
  8. McCown might throw for 400+ in this game.
  9. Had no idea how garbage Romo was on Monday night games and forgot how bad he was in December....Not sure which way this one will go.
  10. If they wanna let him walk then they better franchise him, and trade him...Should be able to get a 2nd rounder out of Tennessee or some other team.
  11. LeSean McCoy is my favorite non bears player to watch, and I've grown fond of Nick Foles (He's like Josh McCown, only better, and not old) so even though I don't think their defense is good enough, I'll be rooting for them (Should they make it).
  12. Got the first part of my prediction right, lets hope I'm wrong on the 2nd part.
  13. I've got Philly beating the Lions today, but sadly I don't think the Bears capitalize tomorrow. I think Romo will end up being too much and Josh won't be able to lead the team to a shootout victory.
  14. What do you guys think of James Franklin as a 6th or 7th round pick(right now CBS has him undrafted but i think that's unrealistic). Mizzu has a offense that looks a lot like ours with all their big ol receivers so there's that, and he's got some wheels to run some of the read option sets Trestman was talking about before the season.
  15. It's still a crap shoot though. 2011 was supposed to be a good year for QBs and it produced Christian Ponder and Blaine Gabbert as 1st round picks. BUT to my previous point about believing in the system, I think they could get a 3rd, 4th, or even a 5th round pick in here that will have success in the system. I'd prefer they wait until then to grab someone. Should be quite a few options to go with even in the mid rounds.
  16. Didn't say they weren't, that's why I said I can go either way.
  17. The age is what gets me. Josh might have 1, 2 years tops in him, and a full year of play might start to "deteriorate" him in year 1. Where as Jay has 4 or 5 more years left in him. What happens if you go with Josh, get the year or 2 out of him then the QB you draft ends up being garbage? That being said, I do believe in the system, so I can really go either way here. How hard is it to be a QB when you get to throw to big ol monsters like Marshall, Jeffery, and Bennett and when you have a check down like Matt Forte? I think even Craig Krenzel would have success in this system.
  18. A few defensive notes from PFF. Chicago Bears: Year after year Stephen Paea has quietly been improving at defensive tackle. The number of games where he has achieved at least one pressure has increased from 45.5% as a rookie to 66.7% last year to 88.9% this year. The Bears’ defense racked up 11 missed tackles this week, the sixth time they have hit double digits in 12 games this season. That is as many times as they hit that mark in 82 games over the previous five seasons. (Conte and Steltz had 5 of them).
  19. Only thing that scares me about McCarron is his "escapability" and consequently how he's gonna do under pressure ...He's got -17 rushing yards in 4 years. What is he gonna do when he's not behind the best OL in college. First game of the season he was sacked 4 times, and it resulted in him going 10-23 for 110 yards. With the problems on defense, I'd look to try to get Aaron Murray as a potential later round steal due to his injury.
  20. Bears hit the QB 8 times this week...the previous 4 games??...just 9.
  21. Hoping Briggs will be back as well and then you got Ratliff and Paea getting their legs back under them, plus Wootton getting back into the swing of things at DE. I'm really only semi-kidding, but that also means I'm semi serious. Stranger things have happened.
  22. Cutlers gonna come back and lead us to the playoffs...book it.
  23. All the talking heads on ESPN seem to agree with the decision. They spent first down to get it centered up and gave it to the guy that nearly hit a 66 yarder..
  24. Those 2 missed field goals were also the first 2 kicks he's missed in Minnesota in his ENTIRE career.
