To address the bold words, according to Emerys statement 2 were bad and the rest were sufficient or better. All I've ever said about Webb was he improved into an average OT(with the potential to be above average). Even if all 14 of those games were just sufficient, even tho he said at least so there had to be some good games mixed in, then that would make him what? Average. As for the Carimi comment, it was made before Kromer and a new scheme came in. Every thing changed. To address your final stanza, its just the principle of it. I got bashed mercifully for my views. I saw Biggsy tweet out "Bears GM Phil Emery had high hopes for J'Marcus Webb this season." and it simply reminded me of the whole argument I had all off season so I brought it up. First off thanks Mongo, it's nice to see that someone else realizes that my argument coincides almost to a tee to what Phil had to say in that article. I'm not even trying to say this to be cocky, shove it in anyones face, or to be a troll, I just wanted you guys to better see what I meant and why I was so frustrated with you guys when my views were legit. PFF watches every game and they grade the same every year, comparing apples to apples there's no question he improved significantly every year. Something like -32 to -16 to -0.8(which is average). I still see no reason why Phil would just randomly make up grades. It doesn't make an ounce of sense for him to do so, there's literally no benefit in doing so.

That continued progression would have meant he was an average to an above average tackle.

I've been "obsessed"(I guess thats what backing a player makes you) with Unga all off season and yes, I'd venture to believe he's the back up to Fiammetta at FB. If he develops more as a blocker he can be a pretty good weapon to have at FB, he's a pretty good pass catcher.

I struggle to see how the "Webb progresses to the unemployment line" and the "Best progression I've ever seen" threads are "news worthy" threads while this one isn't. I already said I was wrong in the last post, as was our GM. Phil said sufficient or better in 14 of the 16 games, not just sufficient in all those games. If you go back i never even called Webb good, I said he was slightly below average with the potential to be above average.

I'm just gonna leave it at my thoughts on the subject are summed up in the article I posted, and they came from our GM. I was wrong about him as was our GM.
