C'mon 9ers, Kaep isn't the answer. Go with Lynch!
-
Hoping an OT goes here......That said, I'm guessing Buckner doesn't get passed the 49ers. Hopefully I'm wrong and the 9ers take Lynch.
-
Hoping Jack gets drafted here. Probably gonna be Ramsey though.
-
Well those who don't want Elliot will be happy.
-
Supposedly the Chargers will be taking Stanley 3rd overall. Kinda crazy considering the last few weeks I've heard some guys say Conklin is rated higher. I had the Ravens picking between Buckner and Stanley, I think if they pick between Buckner and Tunsil they go Tunsil. I wouldn't be shocked to see Buckner fall to the Bears now.
-
Not sure if he's heard something or not but in Lemmings latest mock draft he said he was convinced that Leno will be the starting LT next year.
-
Tennessee drafted Mariota last year. I think the Jets are the only possible trade down scenario, hopefully including Mo in the process.. Even so I'm not sure there's a real threat for any other team between 11-19 to take a QB so they probably won't do that. Tennessee might trade up for Stanley if he's there or maybe Conklin. Or if Zeke is still there you might see someone try and trade up with us.

I think everyone here liked him, but the more I watch the more underwhelmed I am. He's got great size but he sure doesn't play up to it. I've seen some say that he doesn't have the athletic ability to play S and will have to put on weight to play LB
-
It's all technicalites but kudos you're kinda right. Still though they can absolutely talk trades right now even without him signing his tender. Unless he doesn't wanna play next year, he is pretty much a Jet.
-
The formality is him not signing yet. Ya know, he technically may be right, but unless Mo doesn't want to play football next year he has to sign.
-
You can't turn down a franchise tag. It's fine you don't wanna believe me, but I'm fairly certain he is wrong.
-
I'm 95% positive that he is wrong. Once you're franchised, you're franchised and are property of the team.

I'm not real sure what to think of DL. There are a lot of guys at the position, but I'm sure any are really starting quality outside of Goldman and Hicks. Ego is the biggest question mark. He got hurt so we didn't really get to see how he is in a 3-4. Sutton looked good in preseason, but was barely noticeable come regular season and not really productive at all. Unrein showed some flashes but is he more than just a rotational player? No clue what to think of Washington. I wouldn't be shocked if the staff liked one or two of those guys, but on the surface to me as a fan, I see all of them as backups.

This is false. Mo can indeed be traded. Pixote, I somewhat agree, but if the trade is Mo for a swap of 1st round picks and a 4th rounder like some have speculated then it's hard to pass that up. You grabbed a sure bet in Mo and you've also brought other needs up to a higher draft position. It would be huge to add Mo and couple that with something like.... William Jackson- Von Bell- Joe Haeg Jackson- Jason Spriggs- Darian Thompson Taylor Decker- Eli Apple/Mac Alexander-Thompson Or if they are serious about OLB Jackson- Noah Spence/Shaq Calhoun-Haeg Decker-Spence/Shaq- Xavier Howard If they think higher of Spence than the mock I'm looking at... Spence-Apple/Mac-Haeg Spence-Spriggs-Howard .... I'm not huge on an OLB, but I get it I suppose......Any of those 7 combos plus Mo would be HUGE.

Call me crazy if you must, but I kinda like Conklin better than Stanley the more I watch of the 2. If the draft played out this way I think I would go... 1. Jack Conklin OT MSU. Nasty run blocker, solid pass protection. 2. A'Shawn Robinson DT. I've changed my tune on him. Esp in R2. 3. Xavier Howard CB Baylor. Solid fit. 4. Kevin Hogan QB Stanford 4. K.J. Dillon S WVU. Projecting here a bit, but really like what I see. 5. Dan Vitale SB Northwestern. A bit of a Homer pick. 6. David Morgan TE UTSA. A mailing TE who has a bit of wiggle. 6. Harlan Miller CB SELO. Really like him this late. 7. Roy Robertson-Harris DL/OLB TEP. It's the 7R. Kid has good size and athleticism. And yes, I realize in on thread I'm open to Elliot and in this I don't even draft a RB. I think it's Elliot or bust for me this year. See what you have in Langford and possibly go into next year looking at one of the many stud RBs. With Conklin, Vitale, and Morgan, this sets the Bears up to be a NASTY run blocking team. Throw a 2 wide package out there with Vitale at FB and Morgan on the line and you're gonna be getting chunks or yards out there. You can also get creative and move Vitale out from FB and pass.

Kinda booty. No S? I do think Rolle has been kinda forgotten by most, and still could start in this league, but they still need high end depth with starting potential. No CB till the 6th? Porter kinda fits in the same category as Rolle for me, but I see Rolle as being the better of the 2. CB is a must in one of the first 4 rounds. Unless they are comfortable with Ego/Unrien/Sutton/ Washington as a starter, which is possible, I'd like to see a defensive lineman with one of the first 2 picks. From what I've read of Yannick, he's more of "set the edge" instead of a pass rusher. If they draft an OLB, it's gonna be a guy who can get after the QB in a hurry.
-
He's really good. Marshall Faulk is the comp I've read that I like the most.
-
I don't think it's THAT crazy. I think you said it yourself after the Forte thing that Langford and Carey weren't THAT good. For a team that is gonna want to run the ball a lot, having someone that is THAT good makes sense
-
I tend to agree that Elliott is the #1 player in the draft. That said, next years draft looks even better when it comes to RBs. I wouldn't hate to see them take Elliot, but would prefer they give Langford/Carey a shot. They showed signs of being a good tandem, but they were really just that, signs. We don't see how these guys practice like they do so maybe they aren't that impressed.
-
From what I've read their GM "Doesn't believe in handing out big contracts to CBs" and didn't want the distraction of not being able to sign him long term looming.
-
IF they are serious about this and also serious about grabbing an OLB, they could always release Houston and/or young to free up a good chunk of money.
-
There are surprisingly quite a few teams left with a ton of cap space. Most of them being bad teams though. From what I've read, he has talked about playing in Cali previously, and the 49ers have tons of cash.
-
I wouldn't hate it honestly. He had a fairly decent year last year with a 19-7 TD-INT ratio. Before that he didn't really have a solid offense around him anywhere else. I gave no faith in Fales at all and I don't think carrying Jay, Hoyer, and a mid round draft pick would be the worst thing in the world to do.

Made my last post while on the road and without reading more into it. He's really turning 29 this year??? Yeesh. Feel like I didn't start hearing about him till last year so I assumed he was younger. If they can get creative and make it easy to cut him after 3 or 4 years I would still be interested, but 6/96 at his age with no easy outs scares me a bit.
