I somewhat agree, I'm just trying to figure out why he wasn't cut and why he has(or was last game anyway) been playing with the 1st team....Isn't it somewhat similar to the whole Hester/speed receiver to blow the top off the defense debate? Can teams really let roam free over the top? You're just asking to get beat that way, a blind squirrel catches a nut every once in awhile. I'm certainly not saying he's been any good but it's just an interesting thought I had.

This might be a silly, out there, potential dumb comment that at the same time could be somewhat innovative thought so bear with me(pun intended).... Is it possible that the thought process behind keeping Fendi is using him as a decoy of sorts? When you think about a guy with his size and speed is just having him out there stretching out the middle of the defense worth having on the team? Just having him out there will demand attention or covering right? Teams aren't just going to let him run free deep down the field. It's certainly an out there thought but if I expected that thought from someone it'd be a guy like Trestman.

Bennett will be fine IMO. I haven't noticed, how have Maneri and Adams looked so far? Those 2 along with Fendi are the only TEs left. I figured Maneri was a lock but I thought Pope had a chance to win a roster spot ahead of Adams.

If Eli has a good year you should be in great shape. I expect Josh Gordon to be pretty darn good once he comes back from suspension so that Johnson/Brown/Gordon group should be pretty good. Really like the Forte/Johnson duo, both are expected to do more this year than last due to both having improved lines. Gronk is Gronk and if he gets/stays healthy he should have a huge year, esp since Brady has no other targets, and Marty should be a good place holder till Gronk comes back. Bengals D should be solid again this year with their Dline. Robbie is as good as Gould.

lol now that I'm firmly behind JMills I don't have to say this but... Bushrod has had 6 every year for the past 3 years. In 2010 Webb had 6, and last year he had 7. If the stats true it was the 13 he had in 2011 that really inflated those #s.

I know you won't believe me but the announcers said Webb looked good yesterday....I've jumped ship to JMills nation now though, he's looked fantastic in the run game. Hard to tell how he's looked in the pass game though because Jay has been getting the ball out so quick that he hasn't had to hold his block that long.

Yes this is true, but I just wanted to point out that the only drug I've partaken in is a drug that is being legalized as a "drug" with medical healing powers. Ha like I said I'm happy with whatever they wanna do..It still doesn't change the fact that he progressed every year to the point that he didn't give up a sack in 8 of the last 9 games. I never said he was the brightest crayon in the coloring box, the new scheme could have put any kind of progression he had in the rear view.

I didn't see the signing till now...He had a Joe Theisman-esque injury a few years ago. I assum he's healthy by now so yes, he could be good depth.

Interesting with the lack of depth at DT, they must like the UDFA DTs they signed.

Seeing as he'll be a 3rd stringer and potentially cut once Blanchard returns I can't call it a bad signing. He worked out with the team so they know what they're getting. Russell was the only other QB of note out there and either the Bears liked Palmer more or Russell wanted a better opportunity.
