Cutler has yet to throw a pass that wasn't caught.
-
What are some other sites? I'd love to check em out. PFF is the only one I know that breaks down OL play individually.
-
Sooo disregard the whole Long grading I posted? AZ shouldn't have even asked me what Mills graded. I didn't get to the point of grading plays with PFF, but I know these guys look at every play. It takes 7 hours to watch and grade 1 game, they put a lot of work into those grades.
-
They mix up some names but other than that I really enjoy hearing Boomer calling a game. Overall it's been a really fun game to watch.
-
Ha, the archives only go back to 2009. Would have been interesting to see though.
-
I don't know how Mills graded yet, they only did the first and 2nd rounds today. This is what they said about Bostic.

I said he was stellar for the last 2 months of the season. I have no clue what to call not giving up a sack in 8 of 9 games is other than stellar. How would you describe his play in the 2nd half of the season? The amount of protection be damned. I watched a few Saints games and Bushrod constantly got help from the OG and that type of protection earned him 2 Pro Bowls and a nice contract here in Chicago. Doesn't Mills getting a chance to play with the 1st team coincide with the whole competition thing? Trestman said in the article about Webbs demotion someting along the lines of not jumping to conclusions. I take that as the job is still up in the air. I'm done with this....I've presented my case and there's just no point in arguing with you people.
-
Nope, I just call it like I see it. Not giving up a sack in 8 of his 9 games is a successful 2 months+ for any lineman in the NFL.
-
Not that anyone believes in PFF besides me but Long ranked 2nd in rookie ratings for the first preseason game. https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2013/...eseason-week-1/

The brought in a whole new coaching staff, the progressions mean nothing now really. I'm just pointing out that he did indeed have a good final 2 months sand the San Fran game. I like how you said or something, New scheme on the OL takes those progressions last year and throws them out the window 9 games is 2 months+ right? 8 of his last 9 games he didnt allow a sack. If that's not stellar than I don't know what is....All you meatheads do is look at the negatives and forget the positives. Welp I can't touch on the other games but I know the one game he did allow a sack in that 8 of 9 stretch was against San Fran, I watched that game and broke it down for everyone here. He got little to no help. I can't touch on the other games but idk why they'd only leave him on an island vs aldon smith and max protect against the lesser opponents in the other 8 games.

Perhaps because there's no argument to combat what I said?

Its much like Adam Dunn and the white sox. He was down right awful his first year in chicago, then he continued to improve. Now for the last 2 months+ he's been simply phenomenal yet fans still want him gone for nothing. it's silly. Webb is the same way, he's sucked for a good while now, but for the last 2 months+ of the regular season he was more than stellar. Once again how can you deny that not giving up a sack in 8 of his last 9 games isn't progress? I like Mills, he was a projected 3rd rounder if I remember correctly. I'm all for giving the job to whoever earns it. Oh and when I really think about it.... I assume Bushrod will continue to get double team help with Slausson so Webb can't really benefit from the same help. So that goes out the window.
-
Stats don't lie guy, 8 of his last 9 games he didn't give up a sack. The one game being against Aldon Smith who pwned him like he did the rest of the league. Thats called progression.
-
lol I'll trade you. I like picking towards the bottom. I'm at 3 so I've gotta wait 19 picks before my next pick. I'd rather have 10 and 15 than 3 and 22....Only joking on the trading part since that really wouldnt be fair.
-
They haven't really drafted OL the last couple seasons. The line may have played like rookies but I'm not sure they've had one whole side be rookies.
-
I'm glad we don't have to hear about Webb being handed the job anymore. Despite what some of you may think I won't be mad if someone other than Webb wins the job. I like everyone else wants to see the best 5 out there. I just liked the fact that in 8 of his last 9 games last year Webb didn't give up a single sack. To not call that improvement is asinine. If he's not adjusting to the new scheme or a guy like Mills or Britton steps up and is the better option then I'm 100% behind that decision. In Kromer I trust.

Since this league is pretty much a carry over from last years league how about we do it like its done in real life...Team with the worst record picks first and so on and so forth. Champions and runner up get the last picks....I'm sure you all know what I mean. With the new guys we can somehow assign them to take the place of 1 of the teams of a guy who isn't playing this year. I suggest drawing from 2 hats, 1 with the new players and one with old teams. Since there are more returning players than new players I think this makes some sense.
-
Both Webb and Britton looked bad at times. Hard to pinpoint who has the upper hand here.
-
The quick slant is what I thought Jeffery was running on that INT, but Alshon stopped thus making the ball easily intercepted. Here's the INT http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-highlig...-preseason-play As you can see if Alshon doesn't stop then he would have been in good position to make the catch.
-
Well let me just say this, at the very least there was a miscommunication from one of the 2. Jeffery stopped when it looked like Jay was trying to lead him, like we saw him do on his other throws. If Alshon was supposed to stop then it was on Jay, if Alshon was supposed to run a straight slant then it was on him. If he doesn't stop then it's not right at the defender because Alshon would be in front of said defender.
-
It was pretty clear that Alshon stopped on that play, had he continued to run he would have been in front of that defender and at the very least the INT wouldn't have happened. He looked to have lead him nicely with that ball.
-
Really can't jump to conclusions without Marshall on the field. He's obviously a game changer. I liked how quick Jay got rid of the ball, after that pick, which was Alshons fault, he looked pretty good. It looks like they can nickel and dime defenses all day.
-
This post could be spot on....At least on that play anyway.
-
Ya can't throw the ball quick when the WRs don't get open. Cutler hasn't had the weapons in the past. Sure he's had BM recently but when that's all you got teams are gonna double him and receivers will still struggle to get open. If Alshon develops into more of a threat this year and you throw in Martellus plus a more involved Forte then the receivers should be getting open quicker and on a more consistent basis.
