That's just because Roach didn't play every down. When Roach was at MLB he was on pace for 114 tackles while Urlacher was on pace for 90.

Nice to see one of the 3 FA CBs back. Moore was rated higher than Bowman but Bowmans rating was still a positive one. Still need to pick one up in the draft.

Ya the grading scale is iffy Care to dig deeper into how you are grading those aspects? I bolded my views above to the questionable gradings I'd like some clarification to. After watching the games I'm game to grade it however YOU wanna grade it because judging from those aspects I know I already have Webb graded higher. The point (or comparison) I've been trying to get at has always been if you put Webb in the Saints system he'd do better than Bushrod in last years Bears system and I stand by that after watching both games.

It depends on how they view Brown and ultimately, Carimi. I wasn't ready to give up on Carimi at RT but who knows, maybe they thought he had plenty of time to get healthy and he just flat out failed. I remember reading the following on rotoworld that left me a bit puzzled... ...That was before the season and kinda contradicts many of our beliefs. I think he ends up being the RG or the "utility" man who can fill in at tackle or guard in a pinch. Brown is still a bit of the unkown of the group that I have no idea what to think of. If we can't get Cooper or Warmack he may compete with a rookie for the LG position.

I can get behind that. With the early talk about the pistol and read option(?) I kinda wanna get a guy with some wheels behind Jay. Josh Johnson is that and he probably won't get a big paycheck.

They're gonna have to hit big in the draft to scare me. The Jason Jones signing is a step back from Avril and maybe even a lateral move from Vanden Bosch. Bush is an upgrade at RB but not a huge one IMO. They need to hit on another DE, CB, WR, OT before I consider them better.

Just did the 1st half...not 1 time did Webb get helped....It's gonna be nice to see a well planned out blocking scheme....Seriously guys just take a look at the first half from the 2 games, it only took me 30 min to watch all the plays in the first game (only 23 plays vs 43 plays for the Saints in the first half, it's no wonder the threw the ball so much more, the bears time of possession was turrable). I'd love to but you know it's gonna get dragged on by someone who's not understanding my point....We all have moves we don't like that others find awesome, there are some here that don't like the Bennett move while I love the move. There are others here that don't like the Bushrod move but I'm just more opinionated/have the time to rant as to why they are. I trust Kromer will put him in the position to succeed like he was in Nola. My argument is Webb wasn't put in the same position and looked a notch below average because of it.

I have Bushrod getting help from Nicks or Stithcomb on 23 of those plays. Thats almost half where he was getting the help of another offensive lineman....Meaning in 25 drop backs while going 1v1 he gave up 10 pressures. Now I'm sure Webb got help from a TE or RB on a portion of those plays but it's not the help of one of the best LGs in the league or a 300 RT lined up at FB. My whole argument is basically Webb in the Saints system vs Bushrod in last year bears system. Not who's better. My point is if Webb got the kind of help Bushrod got he could be just as good. If they feel more comfortable with Bushrod in the system then fine, he's not making pro bowl LT money so I'm ok with it.

No, I'm not spinning the facts, I said his pass protection grade was -4.3. I said I didn't see his overall grade. I feel like I'd make a good lawyer with these arguments lol, I'm still young, maybe I'll give it a shot. It won't be proved out if they can do the same things the Saints and Drew Brees did. If Trestman can get Jay to get the ball out quicker and Kromer keeps giving Jermon help from the LG then he very well still could "look" like a pro bowler. I just think they could have done the same thing with Webb and he would have been on the same level.....It could be what balta said earlier and that the fact that Jermon already knows the system is worthy enough of signing him.

What are your thoughts on Bushrod being listed under the "Starters with Questions" section in the top 85 Free agents on NFL.com?? Drew Brees made that whole line look good. Further more Carl Nicks and Ben Grubbs made him look like a pro bowler....I'm not trying to be blasphemous or something like that, it's there and it's real. and if the fans vote who wouldn't vote for a guy named Bushrod I mean c'mon man lmao JOKING!

Not doubting it since I haven't seen it but where did you get Bushrods overal grade for that game? All I see is his -4.3 pass protection rating, I've said many times Bushrod is better in the run game. The difference between the 2 games as far as pass protection goes is of the 8 pressures Webb gave up 3 were sacks while of the 10 Bushrod gave up only 1 were sacks.. I believe this is a testament to Brees getting the ball out quicker than Cutler. If Bushrod was protecting for Cutler in the offense we ran last year it's a safe bet 2 or more of those pressures turn into sacks and his rating lowers.

We've been through this, I'm unemployed there's no mystery here. I didn't watch the whole game I just watched the Saints possessions, no commercials or anything....Probably just an hour of film. I did this in an effort to try to get some closure on Bushrod, not to talk negatively on him. Sadly I couldn't get that closure and remain skeptical on him. I said it a few times, I'm not gonna fully judge him of just this game I just wanted to see some tape to hopefully prove me wrong on all the negative things I've read and reiterated here. Trust me, I'm not trying to be negative man, I know it's coming across that way but I'm not.

I'm a Bear fan with a bad memory who relies on research to refresh my memory. Yes, Bushrod will be our LT, no doubt, I just think if Webb got the same kind of help I saw Bushrod get he would have been just as good in pass protection (Though the PFF stats already argue that even without the help Webb was still better last year). I can't address whether or not Webb got any help from his LG but I honestly can't recall much help from that position. If someone can find me a full Bears game I'll gladly break it down.
