  1. I think Hill can do a bit more than just block. Not sure about 2nd round, but I expect a mid rounder. After reading up on all the TEs, Jerrell Adams is my favorite among the mid rounders. Said to be a real solid blocker, and he's got solid speed as well which is exactly what Hill would have brought.

    Treadwell?

Only way WR in the 1st makes sense is if they have a trade on the table for Alshon. Even if they are positive AJ is leaving next year, I still don't think they should go WR in the first this year. WR, OG, and ILB are the only positions I would be upset with in the 1st.
  3. I'm guessing Brees restructured his contract and it just hasn't came out. I think teams can go over as long as they get under at a certain time.
  4. I didn't catch that, but you are correct. I don't wanna see Chris play defense, but apparently he was the leading tackler on ST, so there is that. Safety is still a need IMO.
  5. I'm still on the fence and would prefer they not, but at the same time I wouldn't bash em if they did take a QB. Might bash em if they trade up to so though.
  6. I can dig it. Wonder if that takes them out of considering Bolden. A lot of WRs on the roster.
  7. RGIII to the Browns. Probably takes them out of the QB market at #2. San Fran might be the only team taking a QB in the top 10. I wonder if they might keep Goff in Cali leaving Wentz there at 11. Even as a Cutler backer I might have a tough time passing on Wentz.
  8. Not the biggest Striker fan, but I would really like this draft.
  9. Not a huge fan of any of them, but I can get behind the 3rd one. I like Rankins quite a bit and I do think he can play in a 3-4, but I now wanna have a big long defensive line like Fangio had with SF. There are quite a few names that fit that description. I like Bell a lot. If the Bears get Hill, I don't see them going TE that high. Replace him with a corner. Ward is very interesting to me. I think he's raw, but has the length I think they should target, and is pretty athletic. If they go DL in the first, they might be set though. No issues with the rest of the 3rd.
  10. If their offense is anything like when I did film study on Bushrod a few years ago, they loved keeping a TE in to help block on the vast majority of plays. I'm guessing with Hills ability in that department they kept him in to block while Watson was the receiving TE. Could be a situation much like Bennett in Dallas where for years they just used him as a blocking TE and then he went off in a bigger role.
  11. They actually aren't that far off speed wise. A little ways down in the following article they compare both of them. https://m.numberfire.com/nfl/news/4729/can-...-tight-end-void
  12. Mo has been a dream since I heard he MIGHT be available. There are also reports that he might not actually be available. Honestly, from a cap situation it might work too, especially if they move on from either Cutler or AJ next year. That said with the depth at DL in the draft at the position it might be more fiscally responsible to go that route.
  13. Wanna like him even more? On Twitter a guy sent him the following picture saying "First lesson in Bears football. This is what da fans want" Hicks followed it up with "Is this what you mean!"
  14. 3:10 mark makes me like him. Holds down the LB then goes out and makes the catch. A lot of the plays he somehow gets wide open, but there is clearly some all around skill there.
  15. I think it all has to do with system fit. He's more of a pro style QB vs a spread QB.
  16. I remember drafting him in the late rounds of everg fantasy football team last year thinking he would take off. That obviously didn't happen, but I think there is still some potential there. At the very least he would be a plus blocker.
  17. I was told there would be 100! Lol Frasier looks fairly solid. I know he's not popular on this board, but I do agree with them saying Cardale Jones is underrated. A year or 2 behind Cutler and I think he can be a stud. I really wouldn't hate to see the Bears draft him in the 4th. Not totally against him in the 3rd either to be honest.
  18. I would be cool with adding Cook. Relying on Miller scares me a bit so Miller+ Cook or a high round TE would be preferable vs Miller and a lower draft pick and/or Housler.
  19. Yeahhh, I think I'd rather them "Roll the dice" on Manziel than Hardy. At the very least Manziel would come in at a position of need (team really needs a backup QB) vs Hardy who would be an OLB who has about the same speed as Houston/Young. I don't condone either move though. Not a huge fan of bringing Long in but it wouldn't hurt on an incentive based deal to compete with Leno. I for one think Leno can get better, and having a guy like Long there to push him could help.
  20. I believe they've brought in Bruton and Thurmond for visits(I think, or maybe it was just rumors of interest) so I'm not so sure they are THAT high on him. Rolle is still around as well. Will be interesting to see how the safety position plays out.
  21. Fox saying they aren't done by any stretch.
  22. I'm hoping they throw some $$ at Tony Jefferson and hope AZ doesn't match. He would be the perfect cherry on top of a really good off-season.
  23. I like Dodd, but as an OLB he's in the same mold as Houston/Young. That isn't a bad thing by any means, and he would be cheaper/around for longer, but in the 2nd round I would prefer someone who will play a role now.
