If he's behind a competent line I think that scrutiny goes away for Jay. If he we're to brought here it would mean Trestman wants him here and Trestman knows what he's capable of. In his west coast offense he won't need to air it out, he'll either run or dump it off.
-
And he tried to recruit him at NC State....I guess thats not really saying much though either....I'm no doubt gonna be in the minority but I'd like it as long as it didnt cost more than a 5th or 6th round pick. Like I said Cutler can shut the media up by playing well and Tim can be used strictly in a wildcat type package where he can excel.
-
I've been waiting for his name to be mentioned here but I didn't wanna be the first to be flamed.....But could it be Tebow Time? Trestmans a fan and he fits the roll above in a wildcat package. I don't think it'd be that big a circus if Cutler can shut the media up by playing well. *Sits back and waits to get flamed*

http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/blog/nfl-rapi...l-miss-pro-bowl Just a minor scope on his hip..."Just a little clean up"...insists it isn't an issue.
-
I haven't really followed him...why do you say that? Seems like a guy who will get your attention, something that Trestman may lack.

http://topsy.com/twitter/lennaykay She has risen from the dead! It's a TD Jesus miracle. This is all silly as hell.

I really don't think significant upgrades are needed at WR, they need a speed guy that's not a CB being disguised as a WR to be the #4 guy. Jeffery is gonna be that #2 guy and Bennett is a pretty good slot receiver. As far as TEs go I think Evan Rodriguez will have a really solid year...Since posting TE videos have been a theme lately...Check out some game tape on Evan...and listen to the announcers. There's a Tony Gonzalez mention in there, and a mention that he was in the mid season Mackie Award running. I know the opponents are pretty weak but he looks like a player. Trestman likes his FB/TE guys too, I think he gets utilized nicely.

It's hard to imagine this team not becoming lethal behind a strong Oline. I expect some last year in Denver numbers outta Cutler, 4k+ yards and 25+ TDs....Call it drinkin kool aid or whatever you'd like if they get the right pieces on the line this team should at the very least be in the top half in offense.
-
Hopefully he brings Bushrod with him.
-
There are quite a few FAs that will be huge upgrades over Webb, I'm sure at least 1 or 2 of them will hit the open market....Bushrod, who I was down on but upon further review he had surgery in the offseason and that could be what lead to his first half struggles finished really strong and is back on my good list lol. He was a monster the year before too, giving up only 2 sacks...Perhaps with the Saints guy coming here he will follow.

I'm with you, I don't wanna risk it anymore. Give me Carimi/Louis/Jones/Garza/top LT
-
Me thinks he saw highlights of late game tape where after they kill you short it opens things up to go over the top.
-
This all goes along with what I've read about him, thanks for the info eh. The bold part seems to me he just goes along with the game plan of a West Coast Offense...wear them down early with the short game then that opens up things over the top later on in the game...as long as they upgrade the line I don't see why this isn't a top 10 offense next year! I also agree with you on Forte having a HUGE year, all of his past offenses I've looked up had the RB with 70+ catches...Forte is such a good receiver too, it wouldnt surprise me if he had an MVP type season.

While we're posting videos of college prospects.... http://rivals.yahoo.com/video/nfl-draft/NF...-Highlights-296 That shows us one of two things...You can't trust online videos when scouting players....or Balta is right

Just pick up a UDFA FB there's sure to be a few good ones out there.

To clarify I meant 3-4 defense. in my last post. To get back to the real subject at hand I too can see why the board has changed its mind on Trestman...When the reports first came out all anyone here probably knew was this guy is a CFL coach and there initial reaction being negative...Then the more we learned about the guy we grew to really like him.

we talking 3-4 here with all the scheme change talk? If so I like it!

CBS has your boy Fauria as the 15th ranked TE and is projected to go in the 7th. I wanna see what Rodriguez can do but if they decide they wanna replace both Davis and Spaeth I don't think you need to use another 4th rounder on a TE...There will be quality in the 6th/7th. The guy I like is Levine Toilolo outta Stanford. Projected as a 6th rounder, and I think thats because he was simply overshadowed by Fleener and Ertz. Here's a video showcasing Fleener Ertz and my guy Toilolo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kppzIetGyUg here's some game tape from a game against Arizona...He looks like an all around TE. Catching Lucks TD that tied Elways Stanford record

There's a 6'8" 345 OLman but no one else even close to that. Goard is a 6'4" receiver who run's a 4.5 40 and is the 20th ranked WR.

Let's get back to football people, I was obviously wasting my time. Ogletree is gonna be a monster...nuff said

Yes, it's illegal, and yes I understand that being the end all for some but the fact remains that it's here and it's not going away. I'm not an expert but I have looked into it on great depths and there's really nothing wrong with it. I play semi pro rugby and it has caused me to have a bad back, if medical marijuana were legal here in Indiana (2 votes away last year) I would legally be smoking right now. I practice once a week and have 8 game seasons, I can only imagine the wear and tear nfl or college athletes who practice more and for a longer period of time go through. I'm clean now but thats just because I'm unemployed...What is your view on alcohol? Ya know something that is 10x worse and disruptive to ones mental state and can actually kill you. Something that will make you act wayyyy stupider than marijuana, and really I don't know who you were hanging around but all the pot smokers i've been around don't do anything stupid...we might say something stupid but its a relaxed medicine that mellows you out...I just sit around and laugh...I dont go out and look for a fight or something along those lines. What's your view on our James Brown? Or studs like.. Marshawn Lynch? Carmello Anthony? Bill Walton? Kareem Abdul Jabaar? Micheal Phelps? Tim Lincecum? I understand you're a father, or so your picture leads me to believe, and i understand and respect your views but in this day and age it's not that big a deal...if it were why would states alloy it to be legal for even recreational use.

But allegedly 50% of the league uses...why isn't 50% of the league getting suspended? Why because it's so easy to get around it. Which is why I'm 100% for getting Ogletree if 54 is gone and they address LT in FA.
