If you watch this highlight video, you'll see he has lined up on the outside before, and looked solid. Right now he's behind Trev, Freeman, and Timu(maybe even Jonathan Anderson) at ILB, so I don't see the risk in seeing if he can work out in the future as an OLB.

I agree on Stanley, I think he's a lock for Baltimore. Though I suppose we can go with it.... I would flip SS and DE. There's gonna be a first round talent DL there in the 2nd, like a Chris Jones, or if the NFL world is as blind as mock creators, Vernon Butler. Stick with Kearse from the last mock in the 3rd. I would swap QB and RB as well. If Jay goes down, they're screwed. Gimme Hogan in the 5th.....Unless they grab Matt Moore or another veteran QB to backup....Throw in Keith Marshall to that 2nd 6 spot.

Bears have only been a 3-4 team for 1 year. Yes I believe he played some OLB 2 years ago but a 4-3 OLB and a 3-4 OLB are different animals. I think he can be a better rush LB than a middle LB. With McPhee, Houston, and Young on the roster, I would rather look at him as a potential future player than drafting one high.

It was all pretty obvious from a positional standpoint IMO.......now onto the draft!

I think Went is the only QB I would think long and hard about. I had Reed in my "Dream offseason" so I'm obviously a fan. Buckner would be huge..
-
Hopefully he can stay healthy.

Terrance Knighton is name no one is really talking about

I read where they showed zero interest in him last year so I kinda doubt anything changed. -
I wanna see Christian Jones get a look at OLB.

I absolutely believe he should be a top 15 pick. I'm not the only one either. Daniel Jeremiah had him as the 13th pick in one if his mocks. What I saw at the Senior Bowl is a monster of a man who is highly athletic for his size. Long arms, strong.....When you get compared to Mo Wilkerson, Linval Joseph, and Michael Brockers, I start to listen. I think it's crazy that he isn't in the first round in most drafts.
-
According to a reporter for the Boston Harold, Bill Belicheck called Hicks last night in a last ditch effort to get him to resign. Pat's reportedly offered him a better deal as well.....Encouraging to see.
-
Not a bad depth move. He's a couple years where he's looked halfway decent.
-
I've seen a few guys say he's a top 15 prospect. There's so many DLinemen jumbled up with 1st round ratings that after Bosa and Buckner, I don't think any one of them would be the wrong choice as the 3rd one off the board. Butler is my surprise pick. A guy who you don't see in damn near any 1st round mocks but will go in the top 20.

I would have no problem with Apple(or William Jackson honestly) at 11. I really like Vernon Butler as well. I think he's being criminally underrated right now. I like him and Reed more than I do Robinson and Rankins who most drafts have ahead of them. People might look at mocks and call me crazy but I really wouldn't mind Butler at 11. He's nudged past Reed for me in my "Dream off-season".......NFL.com compares him to Muhammad Wilkerson. I don't expect him to be him, but I think he'll be a damn good 5T and complete the mammoth DL of Hicks-Goldman- Butler.......Think he's worth not risking him being there in the 2nd.

There's been some chatter between Long and Tony Jefferson on Twitter. Jefferson told Long to recruit him(along with other stuff). I would love to see this happen. Jefferson is just 24 years old and has been a very solid safety. Cardinals have a crowded secondary and only placed the lowest priority on him, meaning they have the right to match any offer but get no compensation if the don't match. Jefferson notched 78 tackles, two sacks, three picks, and two forced fumbles. He's a 24-year-old playmaker. Would be a huge addition.

I do tend to agree. I'm not calling for them to draft Elliott, just saying it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world. Especially if Stanley is gone.
-
Jason, I'll see what happens. I really think Stanley will go to Baltimore so I'm not sure I wanna reach on a guy like Conklin who some people are calling a RT/RG. A lot of DL talent in this draft so I would prefer to wait on that. We are in an interesting spot here at 11. Stay tuned.

I hate to say it, but I don't think Forte is a top 5 back anymore. Last 2 years he's averaged 4.0 YPC. This past year 4.0 yards ypc is good for 34th in the league. Bushrod is not any good either. I still remember a stat from the 2014 season saying Bushrod and Mills were 2 of the 3 worst tackles in the league. Bennett is a hit(though it's been pretty quiet on his front), but assuming Miller is back and if he can stay healthy, it may be a wash. Don't sleep on Kevin White coming in and making an impact either. For what we potentially lost going from Bennett to Miller or whoever, we also gained that much more in whoever you wanna call the #2 WR last year to White. Plus, from what I read about the place Alshon is working out at, I really think he has a healthy season barring some type of injury that is out of his control. ......Not sure what is up with your comments on ILBs not being "That important". Hicks is also more than capable of being more than just a rotational player.

I have no idea what to think about Ego. He could be solid, but I want them to go all 49ers and add even more length to that front 3. I don't know if it was Fangio or their front office, but I remember that the 9ers preferred their DLInemen to have 35" arms.....Ego has below average 32" arms. Draft is deep in DL talent. Hit on someone there.
-
Really has been an incredible off-season. I do like Fox and Donatells ability to coach up DBs, so I wouldn't mind just waiting till the draft to hit on another S and another corner in the first 4 rounds.

I got a secret......I am Ryan Pace.

Fantastic! I love Kyle Longs Twitter right now. He's pumped.

Massie looks like one massive human being, and not in a bad way.....I shall dub the Bobby Massive.

I still say age and the very real RB wall that aging RBs hit is 100% the reason they moved on. Forte over the last 2 years has averaged 4.0 yards per carry. That's not very good. I know some will bring up the OL being bad, but it's pretty much always been bad and Forte has still managed to be much more successful in the past. I am a Langford fan, but if they can get a clear upgrade, I'm not opposed. Depending on what is there at 11, Zeke wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.

For whatever reason I can't seem to get his Twitter name in there, but these are all tweets from Long. I'm gonna put Akiem Hicks Twitter handle right here: @The_Dream99 ...... @ChicagoBears fans... You know what to do... I would love to see pernell McPhee and @The_Dream99 beating heads on that defensive line! I've played against @The_Dream99 two times and I don't want to play against him again. How does that happen??

Sounds like he's STILL in Chicago. Kyle Long is recruiting him on Twitter. Said he went up against Hicks before and never wants to do it again..
