Ragland looked pretty slow to me at the senior bowl. Think he also weighed in at 260. If he loses the weight before the combine I might consider him in the 1st if we can add Trevathon. I want athletes who are GOOD in coverage. Kuechly, Marshall, Trev, then going back to Fangios SF teams, Willis, and Bowman are/were great in coverage. Darron Lee might be the most athletic LB in the draft this year. He might be considered a reach at 11, but I would absolutely love to trade back to 15 and take him.

Yeah, and Manning was god awful this year. I wouldn't even call him a game manager. He had a 5.1 int% last year. Cutlers career high is 4.7, and that was the only year he had a percentage above 4. Defense wins championships boys.

Guards are cheap. You suggest Allen at 5 to 6 mill, which is actually about a top 10 guard contract. Marshall Yanda, Osemele's teammate, and type best guard in the league has an average cap hit of about 7.5mil. I think on the open market Osemele gets about the same as Yanda.

That line certainly looks sexy, but I would probably try and trade back in that scenario. Drafting an OT has its merits, and I'm certainly not gonna be mad if they do so, but I would prefer they add to the defense in the first 2 rounds.
-
What are you thoughts on where Long will play? You think Leno gets another shot? I think in an ideal world they go after Osemele and don't really have to worry about the OL till the 4th or 5th when you look for competition for Leno.
-
Could always be GM talk.....But as for Norman, I see no way he doesn't at least get franchised. Same for Von Miller and Mohammed Wilkerson.

Also....Brian Urlacher is Co owner of the gym. Here's a good article on the gym. www.mensfitness.com/life/entertainment/getting-ripped-unbreakable-performance-center-jay-glazer

If you go back and look at posts 8 and 9 in this thread it looks to me that CB is the DB Adam is calling for. Your Mick in post 8 had a CB in the top 4 and in post 9 he said you hit on the 4 major needs.
-
There is a 5th round. Edit- actually looking back at Adams post it looks like the DB he's calling for is indeed a CB.
-
If you watch the Northwestern game like he did, Cash looked like a 1st rounder in that game. He was everywhere. Might be the only game of his he watched. I think Cash is a 2R pick, but I prefer something else in the 2nd.

I really like what I've read on Jay Glazers unbreakable camp. Glad to see him in there.

I don't hate it, but still think Long gets an OT job Leno should get a shot at the other spot. I'd like to see a CB higher than the 6th as well.
-
I think it's becoming more and more of a thing. Bucannon. Kwon Alexander is listed at 226 and he just had a solid year in Tampa. Shaq Thompson just started for the Panthers in the Super Bowl.
-
If they get Trev in FA, I guess I wouldn't hate this. I still would rather have 2 guys who are good in pass coverage at ILB, and I'm not sold on Scooby being that guy. I also kinda think Long will indeed stay outside and think Leno deserves a shot at a starting job (meaning they grab some competition in the mid rounds).
-
Guys, none of these guys are in the 2015 draft!
-
I for one didn't care who won. It's a great story to have Peyton go out on top, and I for one love Cam but I guess that's because I'm young and like the flare he brings along with what he does for the kids. ....Hey Malik and Danny, come to Chicago and win another one.

Really wish we would have saw Nkemdiche at the Senior Bowl. I wanted to see him in one on ones. There's not enough on film to make me a huge fan of his at 11. Reading a lot of scouts saying the same thing. NFL.com mock has him falling to the 2R.

I'm bored so I'll bite. First I wanna add that I have the Bears adding Kelechi Osemele and Danny Trevethon. (Other depth adds obviously) 1. Deforest Buckner DE- This was really tough with Jack and Buckner both there. I did the political thing and flipped a coin. 2. Darron Lee LB- I had the Bears trading down and drafting this guy in the 1st. It's possible he drops here but I highly doubt it, that said he's here so.. 3. Jalen Mills S/CB- Loved what I saw from him at the Senior Bowl. Bring back Porter play Mills at FS this year, reevaluate whether you wanna move him to CB next year or keep him at FS. I think he could be could be good at both positions. 4. Christian Hackenberg QB- Right now Fales is the back up, that has to change. Hack imo is a perfect candidate to set for a bit and come in and start. 5. Cyrus Jones CB- Adds depth to the CB group and also adds a solid return man. 6. Spencer Django OT - I don't think there's a chance in hell he's there in the 6th, but hey. 6. Joe Dahl OG- Depth behind Slauson/Osemele. 6. Robert Aguayo K- Save some money and cut Gould. 7. Dan Vitale SUPERBACK- They don't even have my guy being drafted, and that's booty. I'm sure the whole waiting till the 6th to draft OLinemen would catch some flack, so that's why I made sure to point out I'm add Osemele in FA. DL- Buckner-Goldman-Ego/Sutton/Unrein LBs- McPhee-Trevethon-Lee-Houston/Young CBs- Fuller-Porter-Callahan-Jones-FA S- Amos-Mills I LOVE that defense. Buckner adds length, Trev adds a veteran playmaker, Lee and Mills add incredible athleticism and range.

With a combination of a good free agent class coupled with a good draft class they absolutely could contend. They played the toughest schedule in the league and were a few breaks away from .500 Plus, I'm not really sold on any of the QBs in the 1st. If you want a QB to sit and develop, I'd rather go after a guy like Hackenberg, Brissett, Hogan, Prescot, or Jones in the 3-4 rounds.
-
Yeah, Washington is another kid I really like. If we went ILB in the 1st, I would love Washington in the 2nd. He does kinda have a "red flag" which might push him off the Bears board though. I'm hoping not, the kid has owned up to his mistake.
-
Yep, Browns have already said that he's getting cut. Done deal.
-
A'Shawn Robinson. I just don't get the hype. I don't think now is the time to grab a QB in the first round either. This team, yes with Jay, can contend with a good draft class that includes an impact player defensive player in the 1R. Yes the Packers did it with Rodgers, but they were also a pretty complete team.
-
Yeah, I agree with AZ. If he's firm on it, pass. Go with Marty and draft my boy Dan Vitale in the 5th or 6th..
-
As a Northwestern fan I love the idea of adding my boy Vitale. He would add a lot to the offense not only as a blocker, but he's also got great hands, can be a goal line threat, and he knows how to find the soft spot. He played the "Super back" role for the Wildcats.

Spence looks highly intriguing, but I agree with Jason. I really like Houston in particular and of course ya got McPhee on the other side. If were taking a player with issues, Adolphus Washington is a guy I'm looking at in the 2nd.
