You don't move on from a 26 year old pro bowl player. Even if they extend him and he's never healthy, its still the right move.
-
Not a big Bushrod fan at all, but he's better than Leno IMO. Raiders have Aldon Smith and Kahill Mack coming off the edge. Gonna be a tough challenge for Long/Leno.

Yeah, I would probably go with a 2/3R this coming year, see how he develops in a year behind Jay, if he looks good, you can go lesser next year in the draft, if not go with another 1-3 round pick. Cozy Kessler is my guy who I think is severely underrated because he has good recievers. He's still getting those WRs the ball with great accuracy. MIGHT be able to get him in the 3rd, but I think he plays his way into 1R round consideration and if he's there in the 2R, that's my guy. I want an impact player on defense first and foremost.

Alshon isn't expected to play =(

Again, if we start getting better play in the secondary, pressures will turn into more sacks. I thought they played better last week, and to no surprise, the sacks started happening.

Yeah, I didn't watch the whole game, but the highlights showed none of his 5 TDs are what I would call good throws by Rodgers. Most were on the plays you referred to, and another was on a free play where the defense pretty much gave up. When you look at his "Football card stats" you think "wow, what a game" but the TDs I saw, I could complete all of those passes.....Like I said before, I didn't watch the whole game, but judging by the highlights I'm not surprised he was graded just average. He had a fumble and from what I've read there were 2 INTs dropped.

....and watchable

I know PFF gets a bad rap, especially now, but I just wanted to point out that Pernell McPhee ranks only behind Von Miller and Demarcus Ware in terms of QB pressures through 3 games. If the corner play continues to get better a lot of those pressures will turn into sacks like they did against Seattle. He looks to be like a good addition by Pace.

Ehhhh, the list above is of players under 28. I'm fine with them grabbing guys like that. Grabbing older guys like Allen is what went work. Look at Marty B, McPhee, and maybe even Jarvis Jenkins who has looked fairly good. Guys like that can help you win. There should be a good influx of both if you draft right.

Thank goodness!! Raiders still aren't pushovers but I like their chances a whole lot better now.

Yeah essentially theyre just factoring in everything and saying stats on paper don't tell the whole story. For example. A QB throws a little "rub" that goes 50 yards for a TD. QB gets credit for 50 yards and a TD but how much of that was really because of him? It's a set play, youre going to your first read who more often than not on that type of play is wide open, you didn't have to do anything other than throw to a wide open receiver.
-
That's actually kinda what PFF is saying with Rodgers only opposite. Rodgers made simple throws that the WRs turned into good plays/Tds, so they aren't giving Rodgers the credit. Much like what you said, if its the WRs fault the QB threw an INT, they don't fault them.

History says there's a good chance he slows down. If they can a 3rd, I'm down. He had a good game against GB but their rush defense is no bueno. He had one rush for 27 yards against AZ then averaged 2.7 yards for the other 14 carries. Hard to judge any RB against the Seahawks so I won't even go there. Emmitt Smith is the only RB in history to have 1000+ yards in his age 31 and 32 seasons. I'm not saying Forte can't but with the state of the Bears it would be wise to get a 3rd rounder and actually see what they have in Langford.
-
Even I'll say that's a bit silly. I do kinda get what theyre saying though. All 5 of his TDs were simple little passes that every QB should be able to make.

Nothing about trading Allen says fire sale at all to me. I believe they got better this year with the trade. Houston, Acho, and Young are all better options. They can even trade 2 of those 3 and I still wouldn't say they're inbthe midst of a fire sale.

Josh Norman and Sean Smith top my list. I know CBs are getting overpaid but the Bears have cap room out the wazoo. I would love to see Fox lure over Von Miller too(doubtful). Miller and McPhee on the edges, a shut down corner in Norman/Smith, an animal on the DL in Bosa/Nkemdiche, 2R CB, Fuller to FS, John Timu proves to be a huge steal at ILB.....Boom defense fixed.... Bears win the Super Bowl with Jay Cutler as the QB. He plays out the remainder of his contract.

Its early but I was interested to see mock drafts

If they go Connor cook I'd be a sad panda. He screams "meh" to me. I like Goff quite a bit, but the more I think about it, we need playmaker on defense. Unless Jenkins continues to look like he did Sunday and finally lives up to his potential, gimme Bosa/Nkemdiche. Give Fangio his new Justin Smith. -
Naw, RG.
-
Is Ratliff on the 53? Wouldn't be surprised to see Jonathan Anderson come up to take Bostics spot.
-
Bears love Timu from what I've heard so getting a pick for a guy who's probably 4th on the depth chart is nice.
-
I'm guessing this is just speculation based on them trading Allen.
-
Nope he won the job in camp.
-
I just love that Twig said they have a good OL, and its one that features my boy JWebb. Lol
-
Raiders are def getting a whole lot better, but they beat an awful Browns team and a meh Ravens team. If Jay plays without Alshon it's a toss up. If both play gimme the Bears.

Wouldn't be so sure on Houston, I think he starts and plays well.
