  1. Teague is not the guy we should be thinking about as the guy taking over for Monty. A Abnar is not getting the love he should be here. The more I watch of him the more I love. Dude is dynamic. I'll never get the Monty hate, from anyone either.
  2. Just add Brown or Fisher....hope a better OG gets cut.... and add back Larry O and I'll be happy. Idk what to think of Borum or any of the lineman they brought in as a guard, so I prefer they bring in an at least somewhat accomplished vet to compete there.

    Draft Day 2

I'd be really upset if they didn't add Brown or Fisher. That's what I've wanted them to do all along as I preferred they have a veteran you know is good at left tackle vs a 2nd or later round rookie that may or may not be good. Adding one of those guys along to the addition of Patrick who upgraded what was the weakest spot of the OL last year, is gonna help give WRs more time down field. Gotta get a guard....somewhere. Though I wouldn't hate to see Borum there, ya gotta give him some competition. This is very much like the KC offense and I don't think thats necessarily a bad thing. Obviously it worked there.

    Draft Day 2

Nah, the comp for Jones is pretty easy to me.....Mecole Hardman. Hardman was an electric returner who was looked at as a 3rd-4th rounder and KC took him in the 2nd round. 4.33 speed for Hardman vs. 4.31 for Jones. Both very raw as receivers. Now they have Pringle and their version of Hardman. I don't think Mooney will ever be Hill, but I absolutely expect him to take another step after working out with Fields in the off-season. Hopefully the same can be said for Kmet who was also working with Fields. Gotta grab a LT to give these boys time to work.

    Draft Day 2

Poles and Flus did talk about wanting speed and they sure do have it with Velus. This is gonna really open up the underneath for guys like Kmet and Montgomery in the passing game.

    Draft Day 2

Can't knock em for going BPA at positions of need. I'm hoping they go OG in the 3rd and then sign a LT. Having a strong OL is just as important, if not more important than adding weapons.

    Draft Day 2

I was unaware of this, but apparently Fields and Pickens have known each other since high school. With Pickens having a questionable character issues, I think I might be a little more comfortable knowing that him and his QB are already acquainted.

    No love for Logan Hall?

    Draft Day 2

CB probably has the best value right now in all honesty. Not the direction I wanted them to go, but it makes sense.

    Draft Day 2

One guy who has fallen under my radar all together is Josh Pashal. He's a little undersized weight wise, but I love everything I've read about him. He's got longgg 35"+ arms and big time burst. Listed as a DE/Edge, but he has played inside and looked really good inside.

Ironically Pickens also threw a punch in a game as well, along with quite a few other things apparently.

George Pickens is apparently a real piece of trash. Was listening to someone on the radio yesterday and they said they talked to numerous front office guys who said his character has taken him off their board completely. Guy obviously has 1st round talent. It'll be interesting to see if the Bears grab him if he's there at 39.
  13. I hate to give up picks, but Robby Anderson is said to be out there and could be had for a day 3 pick. If he could be had for a 5th would you do it? This would allow our day 2 picks to be shifted to OL/DL/CB.

IISpoke about NPF in the other thread, but there's another name that no one on this board is talking about that is gaining some steam with the bears and thats Abraham Lucus. I really wish I knew why he was playing on right tackle instead of left tackle. I haven't heard anyone at all talk about if they think he can play on the Left side either which kinda scares me. That said he's got all the traits Poles has talked about in an offensive lineman. He's got the nasty mean streak and he's lean and athletic. I read an article that said a lot of experts are predicted him to the Bears and I'm just not sure on the fit. Jenkins has played some guard in college and he wasn't a Poles pick, so maybe they can try him inside with Lucas at tackle. Then you bring in a vet for LT.

    39-48-71

Hall has been my guy pretty much throughout the whole process. Eberflus had a big ol 6'8" monster in Deforest Buckner as his 3T in Indy, Hall brings some of that same size at 6'6" with a ton of athleticism. Hall, despite what some mock draft simulators will tell you, is definitely getting some 1st round consideration. Here's an article about a few potential surprises in the 1st round... https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nfl.com/_amp/2022-nfl-draft-lewis-cine-logan-hall-among-seven-potential-surprise-first-rounde Hall is there, and another interesting name got thrown out there that no one has talked about early.... Fields old blindside protector, Nicholas Petit-Frere.....NPF has intrigued me a bit. He sounds like he's a high floor low ceiling guy and that's why he's not really more highly thought of. I still very much just want Brown or Fisher but I could live with NPF if he's there with their 2nd pick.

I can dig it. Go grab Duane Brown or Eric Fisher to play LT and grab one of the few OGs on the market as well and the offense should be super solid.

Unfortunately there's a good chance all 3 of your first 3 picks MIGHT go in the 1st. I'd be surprised if Watson and/or Pickens are there at 39 let alone 48/71. I still just don't know what to think about Smith. I'd be fine with the pick but he's got the potential to really frustrate.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/news/nfl-draft-2022-superlatives-prospect-wholl-instantly-live-up-to-the-hype-qb-wholl-go-too-early-and-more/amp/ A little love for Logan Hall who I sometimes feel a little yucky about taking at 39 because he always seems so reachy with more players ahead of him. I really like Hall a lot and I think he's gonna be really really talented. I could def see him go in the 1st and would be really happy with him at 39. Danny Gray is now a guy I have my eye on as well. If they can get him in the 5th I'd be really happy. While I don't necessarily think the bears need to draft 2 WR, a guy like Gray who could be a return man early and maybe develop into a weapon in the pass game is intriguing.
  19. I like the Moore signing, he's shown ability to be a guy in the league. Add a WR in the draft and I think you're pretty well set with the WR room.. Davenport is hopefully nothing more than a backup to the backup. He got a start last year for the colts when Fisher went down and was awful. Other guy is meh too.
  20. Considering they got a 1st and a 2nd for Davonte, giving up a 1st and a 3rd for Deebo would be a win overall.
  21. Here's the link to the pictures from Halas Hall. EJax, Edward's Jr., and Jaylon are all there. https://www.chicagobears.com/photos/bears-begin-offseason-program-behind-the-scenes#7c31af73-d08e-4f62-81d0-f46d81109040
  22. Bears posted pictures of EJax from the weight room recently so he's in camp, not sure why he wasn't in practice.
  23. Moore is mildly interesting. He had a couple decent years in Seattle. 13 TDs over 3 years is not too shabby. I'd bring him in to compete for the 5/6 spot. I assume we carry 5/6 and draft 1. St. Brown probably has a spot. 1. Mooney 2. Pringle 3. Draft pick 4. St. Brown 5. Moore/Dazz/late rounder/Coulter

    Mock Drafts

It may be worth noting that Poles comes from KC where Pringle at 6'1" was their tallest WR. If they do decide to go WR early and they have someone like Skyy Moore rates higher than the taller guys, they should grab him. As someone who is beating the drum for Mooney/Pringle, my hopes for the draft is they already have a deal in place for Brown/Fisher, so they go DL and OG in round 2 then in round 3 you take the best WR available......at the very least that should be a guy like Tyquan Thornton.

I agree 100% and that's why I still very much want Brown or Fisher. This year is supposed to be all about Fields. You can add all the wide receivers you want, but if you plan to throw out an unfinished rookie prospect at LT, he's gonna have issues.
