I'll be honest, I haven't seen any of Nkemdiche but have seen A TON of hype. Just checked his stats and I am SHOCKED to see dude only has 3 sacks and 10 TFL in 22 games. For all the hype I was expecting to see ridiculous numbers not 10 TFL (6 of those vs Troy, Southeast Methodist, and Vandy) . I assume he's consistently double teamed. I'll have to watch some tape. Bosa on the other hand in 27 games has 37.5 TFL and 21.5 sacks. That's the type of numbers I was expecting to see from the other guy.

Looks like his stock is plummeting, and rightfully so. Goff to me is the only franchise changer. Cook is good when he has take but from what I've seen he's not that great against pressure. Not the toe of player I take in the top 10. Right now Bosa is my guy depending where they land. I really like what I've seen from Sutton, and Ego might be a guy, but you throw Bosa out there with Goldman and one of those guys and we start hitting home a lot more. Probably go Goff next on my wishlist, and this comes from a Cutler fan so you know I must really love Goff. Haven't paid much attention to this years CB crop yet. I see Kyle Fullers brother is highly touted and supposed to be the better of the 2. Maybe having those 2 together might bring out the better Fuller.

I'm not so sure the Raiders are a bad team anymore. Adding Cooper and Crabtree on offense is really gonna help them out quite a bit. With Clausen at QB I'm predicting an L. I have 0 faith in Jimmy Clausen. If we had a great D, maybe, but this D + Jimmy= L to almost every team in the league.

I'd assume strength of schedule goes into it. Though SoS after 2 games is probably irrelevant.

Ugh, I hate that people still bring this up. Got into it at the bar with a guy about it. So silly. Who knew White was gonna get hurt for the season.

With the way they seemingly wanna run the ball (though not so much yesterday) and the way they had Jay running a bit of read option, I wouldn't be opposed to Tebow if somehow Jay's injury gets worse(tweaks something "rehabbing" it). That said if it's only 2 weeks I kinda doubt they bring in a vet. Like it or not I think Jay is their QB. If there was any question to that I think they would have brought in a backup QB better than Jimmy Clausen.

I've liked Goff ever since he went off for 400+ yards in his very first game against my Wildcats. I think he's the only QB worthy of a top 10 pick.. Cook is good but I don't he's a game changer. Still think Jay stays another year though.

Yeah, I was plenty guilty in believing Donatell and Fox (who was a DBs coach before head coach) would get the CB group to play well. We have a lot of CBs on the roster so I guess I'll give it more time for them to sort through these guys and continue to coach them up.....Right now though I would look CB and pass rusher in the first 2 rounds. McPhee has gotten some licks in, and I hope they continue to happen, and he starts turning his QB hits/pressures into sacks. Jared Allen made a good play on that INT but I think its time we see more Houston to see how he performs. A speed rusher opposite McPhee or someone like a Joey Bosa or that kid out of Ole Miss would be nice.

Yeah CB position is a major problem right now, and not getting a pass rush is magnifying it x10. Getting Alshon back (and White next year) will certainly help down in the red zone.

The problem with the whole "Jay throws a INT at the most inopertune time" thing is with this defense, any INT is an inopertune time. The last couple years Jay pretty much has to be perfect to win ball games.

Gotta figure out a way to get a pass rush in here while also fixing the CB position. May be time to throw Fuller under Rolles wings and convert him to safety because dude is consistently being abused out there at CB. I don't care who your QB is if you can't get pressure on the opposing QB and your CBs are not that good. Jay was playing well, 8 of 9 for 120 (Clausen had 121 yard on nearly triple the attempts) and he looked solid running the ball as well. No question he'll be back when he's healthy, and more than likely next year as well in my opinion.

Hurst was a CB I believe. Reports are Ego might be hurt so this makes sense. Super thin on the DL if Ego is out. Sutton-Goldman-Jenkins is fine but I have no faith in Dunno or whoever that new guy they signed was. Think we'll probably see McPhee (if healthy) and/or Houston with their hand in the dirt to spell the guys up front.

I think Mariani is more than solid, but your "someone fast" got me interested in seeing if we even have any "fast" guys on the roster. Right now, not really. Everyone is in the mid 4.4s. Senorice Perry runs a 4.38 but he's hurt. I'm not sure where they got the number from but nfldraftscout has Jalen Saunders(practice squad) with a "40 low" at 4.27. Ran a 4.42 at the combine so I'm not sure I trust that number.

A little surprised that they went with a new guy as apposed to just bringing up Dunn or Williams. Edwards was a backup on a talented LSU team (that featured Ego) but the scouting reports I read say he has NFL talent. Has those long 35"+ arms that I remember reading Fangio likes. Nothing to get too excited about. Probably goes down when Ratliff comes back.

I was a real big fan of David Johnson coming out of the draft, calling him a poor mans Matt Forte. Even took him as a late round flyer in fantasy football. I'd look out for him this game as I don't really buy CJ>1k being a workhorse anymore. ...... John Brown is scary too, got him going in draftkings. I do like our chances a bit more though.
-
I'm gonna guess Dunn or Williams come up from the practice squad.
-
I'm guessing if need be, they move McPhee or Houston down.

As expected Acho is back. C. Washington to the IR. Kinda bummed Washington never became anything with all that athletic ability.

Yeah, Matthews made a fantastic play. Bennett was wide open at the time it was thrown. Like the previous poster pointed out it's not like it was thrown into triple coverage, or even double coverage, hell it didn't even look like single coverage. Cutler wasnt that sharp, no, but he also hasn't had the chance to play with these WRs much in this new offense.

Marc Mariani. Former pro bowler who was pretty damn good in preseason.
-
freak the Raiders for letting James Jones go. Edit. Guess he was with the Giants after the Raiders so eff them too.
-
I think it's a bit youth movement, the fact that he's probably 5th on the depth chart, and also ST purposes. Your 5th guy on the depth chart should probably play ST. According to reports Fox really likes Barrow, and he's a special teams ace.
-
The problem there is Eddie Royal is best served out of the slot as well. I think Royal CAN play on the outside but he's much better in the slot.

Just wanted to point out JWebb is starting for the Raiders this year.
