  1. He's never even played a game in this league and we're already calling him terrible.
  2. 2 days in a row now the Bears have added a TE. Former basketball player who looks mildly interesting as a project. Gase has had success with Julius Thomas who wasn't highly though of coming out of the draft. With them giving up a draft pick for him, albeit a 6th rounder in 2017, I would say there's a good chance he makes the team.
  3. Wouldn't hate it. A move back to NT might do him some good. For whatever reason the Browns played him at 3-4 DE and he was awful according to PFF. Ranking 50th out of 52.

Meh, I wont say hell no, but I also don't think it's the worst idea. Dude is soft but I think he's become an underrated QB. Would have to have a viable backup if you have him as your starting QB.
  5. He's played the position at Oregon so I don't worry too much about him not getting enough reps. I just worry more about Ducasse or whoever ends up at guard. It seems to be a double edged sword. Moving Long to OT should help the passing game but hurt the running game. Staying pat should do the opposite.
  6. The question then becomes is there a guard on the team who is better than what they got from Mills/Leno at OT? OT play is certainly important, but if we're gonna be a run first team then you might want the interior line to be a strength. Has anyone heard if Grasu has played any OG in camp?
  7. Where's J'Marcus Web when you need him?!
  8. Somewhat surprised by this. I guess they weren't pleased with how he's holding up in man. I thought with how aggressive he is he would be well suited for man, but then again he is like 3 feet tall so I shouldn't be shocked. Gonna be interesting to see how the CB position plays out. I like what I've seen from Mitchell, and at one point predraft he was viewed as a 2-3 round pick if I remember correctly. I've touted Ball as a guy who can be pretty good if he stays healthy.....hopefully one of those 2 guys step up and can be a long term answer.
  9. Ugh. I knew it was today but for whatever reason thought it was later! Not a big fan of my WRs.
  10. Heh, wouldn't be so sure of that just yet. Next draft should be really solid for QBs though.
  11. Honestly, the way Goldman, Ego, Sutton, and even Jenkins have played I don't see that big of a dropoff. They certainly will be thrown into the fire though. Lacy and Skittles 2 of those 3.
  12. Nothing new here. A rod is gonna help long term by making sure the problem doesn't come back. In a year where the Bears aren't winning anything, its the right move.
  13. I think you're crazy to think he's garbage but yes, this does open the door for more PT for Goldman, Ego, and Sutton...the way those 3 have played that might be your starting 3 for years to come.
  14. Before White went down I said Cutler had a chance at a pro bowl. I think with out him he might not have as good a year as I thought but I still think he has a really solid game. Gase is a Martz disciple and I thought for what Jay had to work with he was pretty solid with Martz.
  15. Good thing they kept Cobb. Though I'm not sure Cobb will be as good without Nelson.
  16. Considering there's not a single article on him even tweaking anything, I'm gonna go ahead and say this isn't true. Maybe it was a sarcastic remake after all the other injuries they've had.
  17. Lol my comment was sarcasm in case I need to say it. I'm not too worried about the INTs in practice. Can't expect Jay to be perfect, asp when your starting WRs are Royal, Wilson, and uhhhh.... The picks are gonna happen, just gotta limit them. I predicted 7-9, but I also thought White was gonna be a beast. With him out, as much as it pains me to say it, I think I see 5-11. I don't think its insane to believe they can do better than that like he does though.
  18. Def need it to be on a weekend. Work from 6am-1pm then again from 5-8 during the work.
  19. We as fans don't know what went on behind the scenes. We don't know whether his antics hurt the team.....All I know is when a soft spoken guy like Matt Forte talk bad about Marshall, you know there's a problem there.
  20. FYI, if that's the same ptact from soxtalk, he knows what he's talking about when it comes to injuries. Sucks for this year but I'm not real worried about his future.
  21. Maybe I'm just looking at it the wrong way. I'm looking at it like you're saying its a bad pick. It's just a tough break. Fowler is out for the season, and Landon Collins got a knee injury yesterday. These things happen. It was't a bad move whatsoever and I guess that how I'm taking those comments.
  22. Lol at the "Told you so", "Bust", and "Bad start for Pace" comments.
  23. I have to wonder if the rod will help more long term vs the non surgical options. Bears aren't going anywhere this year, so if the rod will help keep this from flaring up in the future it would make sense to get it out of the way now.
