Ha. Shia made some weird motivational video and they green screened it in with the players. He want actually there. Hilarious though.
-
Really hope he sticks. Whatever it takes to get Mills of the field.
-
That's fine to think that. I don't. Drop the "Voluntary" tag from it and I'll care more. As long as he's on the field week one I won't hate.

Yup, a lot of Hollywood is fake, and I can't really knock her for being real. From all I've read she's far from a B and Jay is far from a D. City life isn't for everyone. I worked out in Chicago for awhile, love Chicago sports, love visiting, think downtown is beautiful, but Id never wanna live there. Does that make me a bad fan? Absolutely not. So why should it make Kirsten a bad person?

Yup. ESPN, Trib, and Sun Times all reporting it as well. As long as he's there for mandatory camp, I could care less that he wasnt at something that was voluntary.

Honestly, these days it seems like NFL players can come back from anything and still be good players. John Fox has already called Young "Week to Week" so I'm guessing he could be ready to go in a month or 2. The "problem" could be he's obviously behind McPhee, but could also be behind Houston and Allen. I put problem in quotes becaause its really only a problem for him. If Houston and Allen play better I don't see the problem from the Bears. One thing I'm really hoping for is that Christian Jones enters his name into the OLB discussion as well. If the reports of the staff liking SMC at ILB are true then Jones might not have a spot there. I think Jones could be that speed guy off the edge.

I really don't see the problem with there be some strong competition. As for the D, it looked a whole lot better with McDonald, but I like Ego a bit. I really think, barring injury, they could be in the top half of the league.
-
Hopefully he takes this opportunity to potentially start and runs with it. Would be nice to have a couple of nice building blocks in Ego and Goldman on the DL.
-
6'6" 245 is certainly an OLB. Pass.

Bring on Hoiberg! Offense was too simple/predictable. Last years team despite having less offensive fire power scored just as many points per game as this years team. That seems mind boggling to me considering Butlers emergence, and the additions of Pau and Niko. Tying this into something Pace said, the relationship between GM and HC needs to be a good one, that relationship obviously wasnt there in Chicago.

I'd give up a lot to get Wilkerson, and wouldn't hesitate to give him all the money he wants. Dude is a monster and still fairly young. Bennett and a pick outside the 1R.
-
Sigh, he was my biggest factor to the Bears having a rock solid run defense. Wonder if this might push Houston back to DE.

m.bleacherreport.com/articles/2462860-rising-nfl-stars-to-keep-an-eye-on-in-2015 Yes, it's bleacher report, an no this isn't really a surprise but times are slow so I'll throw it out there. I tend to agree. I know people don't like the PFF stats, but they are there FWIW. I remember a few years back I brought up the pressure productivity stats and people questioned it because a guy named Jerry Hughes was near the top of that list. A lot of people were like who the hell is Jerry Hughes, and that list lost all credibility with Jerry Hughes being on it. 2 years later Jerry Hughes has racked up 19.5 sacks. Those aren't great numbers or anything but still, it shows these things hold some weight. I'd be shocked if he McPhee doesn't get double digit sacks.

Brady 4 games, next yr's 1st, $1M fine, & 2017's 4th

Harsher on the Pats than Brady himself. -
Ehhh idk about that one. I think he's one of the guys who might benefit from this scheme. The ILBs Vic had in SF dropped into coverage more than any other team, and IMO, Bostic can be real good in coverage. Then there's also gonna be less ground for him to cover and potentially overrun the play. Lastly, the line they built in front of him should help keep O linemen off him which will also help. I do think Christian Jones has the more potential and hope he wins the job alongside Foster though. As for Greene, I agree with everything said. He's a 4-3 OLB and that's it in my book.

Wouldn't hate to see his addition but I'm certainly not gonna be disappointed if they pass. He's a big hitter, yes, but he also misses a lot of tackles. Fangio/Donatell had some success turning a few guys like that into good players....That said I still think Ryan Mundy is underrated and would 100% fine with him starting. He's not the biggest hitter in the world, but he's a fundamentally solid tackler, and I'll take that over the big hitter who misses their fair share of missed tackles.

Way too early but I want a LT. Assuming Bennett doesn't force his way out, no way I'm going TE round 2 or even in the top half for that matter. TEs aren't players you need to groom for 2 years. If you draft a TE in the 2R they damn well better produce right away, and with 3 good WRs I don't see them going heavy into 2 TE packages.
-
Eh, I can imagine there was a lot more running today then there will ever be in a game. I hated conditioning in high school..

Ouch. I'm a big Gus Bradley fan, and it appeared their arrow was pointing up, this obviously hurts them. Not Fowler related, but I like reading the comments on the bottom of this link.. www.jaguars.com/news/article-JaguarsNews/%E2%80%9915-offseason-Position-by-position-defense/8f7e8981-cf1e-45bd-ad66-f044d766ff7c Few guys on there aren't pleased that Ball is gone.
-
Not really worried as long as they aren't hurt.
-
The interior OL should be fantastic, but I'm still real worried about both tackles......Maybe I just read too much into PFF stats though.
-
I think its all about the money. A lot can be put on the agent as well. I believe all those statements came out of his agents mouth. He may have said it and his agent was just the mouthpiece, but he should have advised against it. Neither apparently knew the rules of the supplemental draft.
-
Tough to say. I know the Cowboys were one of the first teams to bring him in for a visit so maybe it was just a case of the Bears never really getting the opportunity. Its not like he could look around for better offers. The measely 1.6 mill or whatever is the most he could get.
-
Man, Cowboys come away with 3 first round picks this draft. That line is gonna be nasty. I don't care who is running the ball there, they're gonna have success.
-
To add to that last statement using your favorite website.... Ray McDonald was pretty damn good against the run himself. Even if you don't buy into PFF stats its still gotta say something about who he is as a run stuffer. That's what I love about the defense on paper, they should be really good against the run.
