Police have already confirmed is not a suspect.
-
Again all I'm saying is the timing was bad for him. I completely understand the process, and it certainly make sense to question the ex. If questioning happened a week sooner he's looking at a multi million dollar contract. Instead he's set to make a tad bit under 1 mill over 2 years. Again, just tough luck on the timing. That's all I'm saying.
-
Lol I think you're the insane one... I said Mundy over Vereen, Vereen is a safety lol.
-
Passed his poly and a paternity test showing that he wasn't the father of the child that died. Wish this all happened a week earlier. Just awful timing.
-
Ya I agree...but he's also really strong and has the length to play DE, so who knows. Could probably play either position. I also think we'll see Mundy out there over Vereen.
-
I've read 2-4-5 which makes a lot more sense than 2-5-4. Nickel package is on passing downs, not sure you want 5 LBs out there va 5 DBs. Add Mundy, drop Acho. Also I'd be surprised if McDonald wasn't one of the 2 out there. He was in SF. Fangio does have some some packages where they a 4th man in with their hand in the dirt though. As for Ego, I like it. He's got pretty good length and should do well as a DE. Ratliff may get the job out of the box but Ego could be that guy for the future.

At least as far as the rookies go, I'm fairly certain they all have limits to what they can be signed to based on what slot their drafted in. Rookies have no real leverage in discussions. So ya, it doesn't really impress me. I'm more shocked every team doesn't get theirs signed right away as well.
-
Sure about that first part?
-
Meh. Every year we have this thread and every year I'm not very impressed.
-
Not liking the comments I'm seeing here... www.milehighreport.com/2015/5/4/8547935/denver-broncos-waive-t-paul-cornick-and-wr-jeremy-kelley (Might have to copy and paste link) A lot of people calling him the worst OT in the league....That of course is false though...Jordan Mills is.
-
Fine, if he plays up to past success, then he'll be in good shape. To me that's "playing to his potential" but I digress.
-
What I particularly like is, they SHOULD be very stingey against the run. McDonald is very good against the run, Goldman should be good against the run, Houston, where ever he lines up, is good against the run. Because of Goldman's presence, the LBs should be able to play cleaner and that should make them good against the run..... Then you couple all that with my thoughts that Ed Donatell and John Fox are 2 of the most knowledgeable DB coaches in the league so I think we should see good DB play as well.

Just wanted to bring that post back up and confirm this as it seems relevant to AZs post. Im to tired to address it all... As a UDFA he'll get a 3year 1.5M dollar deal. I can't find a pay scale for the supplemental draft but I know Josh Gordon signed a 4 year 6M dollar contract as a supplemental draft pick.
-
Fuller? McPhee? I can actually see Mundy doing really well in this scheme. I know I don't even have him in my starting lineup above, but Christian Jones very well could win a spot and be a playmaker. McDonald isn't flashy, and doesn't sack the QB so he won't be a pro bowler but he's still a damn good player who gets his job done. Its the sum of the parts that I see making the Bears a top 15 D.
-
I've read that the Broncos varied on blocking schemes last year and I expect that to continue here. Every year guys get dumped for cap reasons. They more than likely won't be great but Jordan Mills is one of, if not THE worst, OT in the league, there's a good chance an upgrade is made available.
-
Good call. Wonder why he's still out there?
-
Hopefully a decent OT hits the market. I really don't wanna see Mills start next year. Also, when looking up potential cuts, looks like the June 1st date was moved to May 12th so that's cool.
-
This guy may have just missed out on millions over nothing. It's hard to blame the guy for wanting to do whatever he can to get the money he was set to get. He was never even a suspect. How you think this guy may never even see the NFL is beyond me. Comparing a guy who may have done absolutely nothing wrong with a guy who was a registered sex offender is just outright silly.
-
No I use 2013 as "proof" that he has potential. If he plays up to the potential he showed in 2013 the he's gonna be a huge plus.
-
Ya I'm not really buying the lawsuit angle. The timing was just awful for Collins, and I feel bad for the guy if he's proven to have no connections. I'm not sure what leverage he has in any kind of suit. The supplemental draft is for guys who kicked off their teams last year.
-
IMO he can stick at LT. I had him as my top OT in the draft. Not sure what next years class looks like. I think some team would put a first round bid on him without a doubt. Esp. Good teams who hope to be drafting late next year.
-
I haven't heard anything about this...isn't Hub typically full of shit lol? If true, would you guys put a first round bid on him?.....For those that don't know, in the supplemental draft teams put bids on players with draft picks. You put a 1R pick on him thus year, you lose next years 1R pick. I think I'd do it. I know a lot here are hoping for a 1R QB next year though.
-
I'm not positive on this, but I believe all UDFAs are locked into 3 year contracts. Can't do a one year deal.
-
I guess we'll just have to wait and see. I'm predicting we'll be in the teens defensively and stand by that.
-
Wonder if he's friends with Ego? Getting Collins, who I thought was the best OT in the draft, would be the perfect way to cap off this off season.
