Plz no trade ups for Williams!
-
Can't see Jets taking Williams....this couldn't have played out better for the Bears
-
Really hoping Wash takes an edge rusher...jets won't take Williams
-
I think we need one of these.... C'mon Leonard Williams!
-
Brad Briggs tweet Can't imagine #Bears made hard push to trade with TEN for No. 2 pick. Smells like play by #Titans to create leverage. I tend to agree with this.
-
I know its not even really worth continuing to discuss, but in the purposed deal Manziel is an after thought. You're freeing up a boatload of cash and getting 2 top 20 picks, that's why you make that deal....But ya, not gonna happen.
-
The deal itself is something you consider. It more than likely isn't a 2015 move because your qb this year probably sucks, but future wise you free up cap space and get 2 first round picks.
-
So essentially we get out from Cutlers contract AND get 2 first round picks? What are we laughing at here? The fact that it'd never happen? Or you guys think it's bad?
-
With what I've been hearing about what Tennessee wants for that pick I don't like it. If it's not too bad I suppose Id do it if Jay is in the deal. Yes we more than likely have to give up some high picks but if Jay goes it also means they have the cap room to replace those picks with established players. I of course am saying all that as a Cutler fan too. I don't wanna see both Cutler and Mariotta on the team but if Cutler is included in the deal or a separate deal, Im cool with it.

Allow me to persuade you with a report from your favorite website...... https://www.profootballfocus.com/blog/2015/...op-of-the-crop/ Perhaps the best mix of abilities in the class, Sample is a decisive mover who is quick and sure when reacting up and capable in coverage. Unlike his Louisville counterpart, Gerod Holliman, Sample displays a strong desire to get to the ball-carrier and takes on more than a support role in the run game as he’s a confident defender who will hit, wrap and win one-on-one in space. His body control is excellent and he works through traffic well to get to where he needs to go. Grading well across the board in our CFF analysis, his tape didn’t disappoint, he ticks more boxes than any other, and he fits in among the handful of Day 2 hopefuls who can find an immediate role in an NFL backfield. Signature Stat: Sample was in the Top 10 in Run Stop Percentage and Tackling Efficiency, and his 12 combined plays on the ball (four INTs, eight PDs) were second among safeties only to Holliman’s 15.

Raiders select Josue Matias OG FSU.
-
Saints also got a 2 time pro bowl center in that trade. The Bears SHOULD be able to get a 2nd, but Graham has a bigger name which could mean something sadly. Id think about a 3rd but would still be highly disappointed considering the draft class. Jermaine Gresham is still out there and is a good option, though the fact that hes still unsigned scares me a bit with his back problem. Devon Funchess is a little intriguing in the draft considering Gase had Julius Thomas as his TE and he was never really relied on to block.
-
Ya, I wouldn't like this one bit. TEs in this draft are no bueno.
-
He was/is actually Mayocks top OT but I think that was based off potential because of his size/athleticism. He had a bad senior bowl that pushed him back a bit. Not sure he makes it to the 3rd though.
-
I think Long COULD play OT, but I actually prefer him to stay at OG just because we already know hes a monster there, so I agree with your pick of Clemmings over Cann. Overall I like it a lot. Give me Sample over Mauldin though, I think hes gonna be the hidden gem at the safety position.
-
Looking at him more I'm coming around on him. Wouldn't hate the pick. For whatever reason he was off my radar and when reading his weaknesses before I posted I was turned off. As for my final mock, I'm gonna go ahead and stand by my draftek mock from the other thread... 1- Amari Cooper WR 2- Jordan Phillips DT 3- Cedric Ogbuehi OT 4- James Sample S 5- Jake Ryan ILB 6- Sean Mannion QB
-
I've said it once, and ill say it again. Having guys like Justin Smith or JJ Watt make having a big NT less of a need. When you have beasts like those 2 who command double teams themselves then you're accomplishing what you want to get out of a big space eater. I don't think we have one of those guys on the roster, and past Leonard Williams falling to us, Im not sure there's a guy who fits that sort of undersized type guy everyone likes to bring up that Fangio had.
-
Not a fan of Preston Smith in a 3-4. Haven't looked at him much but his scouting report on NFL.com gives me a lot of info I don't like. Sounds like a player who wins in space and in the 3-4 DLineman don't play in space. Id be a little surprised to see Tomlinson fall to the 3R. Depending on what position you see Shreff at I think hes the top guard in the class. I like the other picks though.
-
I just don't think any of the guys on the line will demand double teams. They could end up being serviceable players but not to the extent of being a guy who by demanding double teams will make the rest of the defense better.
-
Ya, because DL will have to run 40 yards to make plays. Throwing out the 40 yard dash for DLineman is just silly. Look at his other measurables (I'm on a tablet and too lazy to go through the trouble of posting them) that correlate more to what he'll have to do and you'll see numbers that are comparable to the guy he gets compared to and that's Haloti Ngata. I'm now more intrigued by adding Cooper/White over Shelton but still think Shelton will be a monster.
-
I'm in the minority here, but I'm comfortable with Rolle/Mundy. So given how this draft plays out Id go with.... 1- Cooper...at this time I am all aboard the Cooper train. 2- Jordan Phillips DT... I still think the bears could really use a guy who demands double teams. 3- Cedric Ogbuehi OT- Read an article saying he'll be ready for training camp. OT with 1R talent in the 3rd? Yes plz. 4- James Sample S- I am comfortable with Rolle/Mundy but neither are the future. I really like Sample. 5- Jake Ryan ILB- Gives me that Borland vibe. 6- Sean Mannion QB- QB worth taking a shot on.

I thought Rollins looked real good at the senior bowl, and is further along than you might think. As a safety though he probably takes a step back from where hes at now. When really thinking about it, I think the transition from really good defensive basketball player, like Rollins was, to CB should really translate. When you watch defenders in basketball, they have to stick to their men like glue while also fighting through ball screens and all that. Im a little surprised we don't see this sort of transition more often like we do with the TE position. I like him a lot more as a man corner than a safety, and I think the need at CB got pushed back out of the 2R after the Ball signing, so I think Id pass on Rollins unless we pick up a later 2R pick.

Pack select Jeremy Langford, RB, MSU The Jayhawks..I mean Jason and the Seahawks are on the clock.
