  1. Too busy being a move star lol jkjk.
  2. Lol I was just about to make my pick. Abdullah sounds about right though.
  3. One thing worth noting about Collins, I think in Fangio D the safeties aren't really relied on that much in coverage. From what I gathered we'll play a lot of man, and the ILBs will cover TE/RB. I read that he likes both safeties to be able to hit. I'd hate Collins at 7, but in a trade down scenario, I could get behind the pick.(Even though Im cool with Role/Mundy.)
  4. Ya, give me Thompson over Mauldin and I'd love this draft. Would have liked to go OL sooner but if Phillips makes to us in the 2R, and Dawson makes it to us in the 3rd, I'd have no problem passing on the OL.

    RB at #7?

Lol funny you guys say that in response to the RBBC thing. I've said the same thing. By RBBC I mean hes had lesser RBs and just rode the hot hand.

    RB at #7?

Ya, no thanks. Like it was brought up earlier, Fox likes the whole RB by committee, and you don't do that with a top 10 pick.
  7. I'm for sure trading down. I'm not really down on Marietta after seeing some advanced stats, but if they can get 2 first round talents it makes too much sense. Give me the top OT on the board at 12, then either Shelton, Collins, Parker, or Goldman at 19. By fixing the OL this year your probably gonna up Cutlers value making him tradeable next year.
  8. IF they do indeed vision Houston as an OLB, then I DE makes some sense. To me, Jenkins gives me the same feel Alan Ball gives you about the CB position. I think hes just filler. A lot of people are talking about him as a starter and I just don't see it. I know our opinions are different on the matter but again, I really don't see Allen or Young fitting in the base 3-4 at DE either. Washington MAYBE just because he's a freak and may have the strength to play there. Sutton is a bit of a mystery and may end up not having a position. I think Ego could end up being a solid rotational piece up and down the line. With an injury prone Ratliff probably as our starting NT, Ego will probably be needed more there than DE. McDonald's is the only guy I feel real comfotable with at DE.
  9. I liked him coming out of the draft. I think despite jumping around from a few bad teams he could still be better than a lot of the QBs in this draft. Lol check his player comparison.... www.nfl.com/draft/2013/profiles/tyler-wilson?id=2539201
  10. With their 3rd pick the VIkings select Arie Kouandija, OG Bama. Adam and the Browns are on the clock.
  11. Fair enough but I still don't think you can discount them giving Ball 3M. His 3M cap hit is 45th among CBs. If they don't view him as a starter then that's an awful contract. In 2013 Ball had 14 pass deflections and 2 INTs. For comparisons sake Tim Jennings, who was a pro bowler, had 13 and 4.
  12. I know you dislike PFF, but in 2013 Ball was a top 20 CB. Bears gave him 3M. If they gave him 3M to be filler then shame on them. I also think they like Louis-Jean and Hurst after giving both extensions. Lastly, I don't think Jennings should be playing outside, so with him on the roster we have our nickel-back. A 6 foot Fuller, a 5'8" Jennings, and a 5'9" Ike as your 3 CBs just doesn't sound like something Fangio would put out there based on his time in SF.
  13. Not a prospect thought, but I just thought Id pass along that PFF has a TON of good stuff on the draft prospects that I highly recommend checking out.

    Safeties

Ya, I still think they should try and grab a developmental guy, and the guy I like that hasn't been mentioned is James Sample. He was overshadowed at Louisville by Holliman, but from all I've seen he looks like he could be the most underrated safety in the draft. Id think about taking him as early as the 4th, and hed be a no brainier in the 5th.
  15. Meh. Interesting pick considering of all the "Can we agree" drafts you made up, not one of them had a CB taken. After they gave Ball starter money I kinda figure we pass on CB early. Add in that Fangios CBs in tended to be fairly big, I think the 5'9" Ifo probably isn't a pick we see the Bears actually make. Esp with the equally small Jennings still under contract. I probably would have went with Paul Dawson or Danielle Hunter as an OLB.
  16. Despite an awful combine, I still love Paul Dawson. If the draft plays out like our draft on here, and Paul Dawson is there in the 3rd? That's easily my pick. You watch that man on tape, and you see a great football player.

    Safeties

I may be alone on this, but I'm ok with the Rolle/Mundy duo for the year. Rolle signed a 3 year deal, so I'd be a little surprised if he doesn't start for at least the first year. Ryan Mundy IMO is underrated on this board. You want your SS to be able to tackle, well Mundy was the 7th most efficient tackling safety last season according to PFF. Looking at the list of efficiency ratings, there's a lot of interesting names that came up in the bottom 10. Tackles/Missed tackles T.J. Ward - 67/18 Rahim Moore- 43/12 James Ihedigbo- 55/17 Ron Parker- 56/17 Dashon Goldson- 61/20 Kenny Vaccaro- 58/19 Calvin Pryor- 40/15 The last few years those names came up a ton on this board in draft/FA talks, and ironically they make up 70% of the bottom 10 in tackling efficiency. Mundy quietly had 82 tackles and only 8 missed tackles. One things for sure, I will accept whatever they do at the safety position. In SF Fangio and Donatell made pro bowlers out of Dashon Goldson and Donte Whitner, 2 players who elsewhere have been mediocre to bad.....Fox is also a former secondary coach who knows talent back there.
  18. With their 3rd pick the Raiders select Grady Jarret DT, Clemson. Raiders need help rushing the passer, and looking at the top 3 DL on the board, it looks like Grady is the best pass rusher of the 3. The Redskins are on the clock. (Adam)
  19. And his name is Zach Mettenberger
  20. As I said in the draft thread, I pulled myself a little acting gig. It's a low budget indie horror film that the directer described as kind of an old school, very vibrant/highly saturated film. I want the teaser (and later on the actual trailer) to get as many views as possible, so I'm posting it everywhere... I'm the fat clown at the 15 second mark("Fatty the Klown"). I hate the "costume" but it is what it is, low budget. Give it a view, if you have a youtube account and would be nice enough to give it a thumbs up, that'd be great .....See Stinger, it's not a gay porn =p
  21. Next years draft class is loaded at the QB position. Even if the Bears are around 20, I still think they have they could grab a QB who could be just as good as the top 2 this year. Next year you have Connor Cook, Cardale Jones, Christian Hackenburg, and Dak Prescott who are all being talked about as 1R draft picks. Then there's Jon Goff and Cody Kessler, who I think are gonna work their way into 1R consideration. Then you have a ton of other guys like Gunner Kiel, Patrick Towles, and Kevin Hogan who could work their way up but are more likely 2-3R picks. I LOVE next years QB class, esp. in comparison to this years. Get your stud at 7 this year, then grab one of these guys next year.
  22. I know its probably Fortes last year as a Bear but with him, Carey, and Quiz on the roster I just can't imagine they draft a RB...I understand the RB by committee comments, but 4 deep? I just don't see that happening. Maybe one in the 5th or 6th, perhaps a bruiser like Josh Robinson, but towards the top of the draft? No thanks.
  23. I love Jameis on the field, but with next years class of QBs, and Cutlers contract scenario, I'm passing on both QBs this year.
  24. With their 2nd round pick the Rainbow Farting Unicorns select Quinten Rollins CB, Miami of Ohio. The Seahawks (Jason) are on the clock.
  25. What drafts? I like Goldman a lot, but I'd be surprised if he makes it out of the first round. 6 of the 7 mocks between NFL.com and CBS have him gone in the first.
