  1. Greg Cosell said he'd take Metts over Winston and Marietta....That might be a bit much but I don't think the potential difference between Metts and Mariota is big enough to take Marietta.
  2. With their 2nd round pick the Lions select Preston Smith DE, Miss. St. Lions aren't afraid to take on a bit of a project, and they typically go BPA. Smith from what I've read and seen was very impressive when he rushed the passer from the 3 tech spot inside. He is just 271 pounds so had be a bit undersized as a full time 3 tech, but he has time to put on weight and playing next to Ngata will help in run defense.
  3. Before I go.... 1. Andres Peat OT 2. Nelson Aghular WR 2. Carl Davis DT 3. David Johnson RB (IM muddying my own waters here as I don't see RB as a need but to appease the masses....) 4. Gerod Holliman FS 5. Jake Ryan ILB 6. Max Garcia OC
  4. I've got an acting gig that gonna take me away from the interwebs all day so Im gonna jump the gun here and say the Texans take Stephone Anthony or if that's Adams pick, Paul Dawson...
  5. Depends if they have plans for him beyond this season. If they think hes starting to decline and view this as his last year then they might as well get some long term value for him vs just letting him walk. This is certainly the draft to find the RB of the future.
  6. Him missing voluntary meetings is no big deal, but if reports of him wanting a new deal are true, that could end up being a big deal. Contractually he's at an interesting part of his career because of age and all the data out there that shows RBs his age tend to be at the end of the line. I would hope he proves not to be the whiny little bitch you suggest he isn't and doesn't sit out, and just balls out to force them to make a decision.
  7. Not at all. IMO he should be in the discussion should we really trade down into the 20s..and Im saying that as one of the few Bostic supporters. Im really shocked that between the 7 mocks on NFL and CBS, only one has him in the first. I think that's silly, and I'd be shocked if he makes it past GB who could really use him....If he does end up being there at 39, its a no brainier for me.
  8. I've backed off him a bit but still wouldn't hate the pick. NTs rarely go that high because it's somewhat rare for guys that big to be that talented. His 40 time may have been the slowest but his other drills, ones that better evaluate what a dt will do, were on par with the guy he so often gets compared to, Haloti Ngata. Also Shelton has a big time motor, and at least for a few years, he won't have to be a guy you take off the field. I like the idea of having that big guy out there on passing downs tying up multiple blockers which frees up pass rushers. Again Im not clamoring for him anymore, the McDonald signing changed things for me just a bit, but I really wouldn't bash the pick at all.
  9. Im just saying man. Like I said Im cool with Cooper/White but dont think its a must for the offense to be really good.
  10. I think some have gotten spoiled by have Marshall and AJ. Hell even Royal ranked in the top 50 in receiving yards, so technically he could be viewed as an average #2 WR. I think AJ gets at least 1200...Bennett gets another 900....Royal another 7 or 8 hundred...Forte/Quiz get around 700...So that's around 3500 already. A rookie/Wilson can manage 500 to get them up to 4k then you have a 2nd TE, a 4th Wr, and Carey to add a couple 100 more perhaps Rookie WRs lately, even later round WRs, have been able to come in and produce right away (thanks in part to the rules against corners). I've come to terms with Cooper/White making sense, but I think the offense can still be potent enough with a mid rounder who comes in and competes with Wilson.
  11. With the 45th pick of the 2015 draft, The Vikings select..Shaq Thompson LB, Washington. Jason and the 9ers are on the clock.
  12. We all know Im a Cutler supporter, but with all we've been able to do in free agency I wouldn't hate to see Petty or Grayson in the 3rd. That said next years QB class looks pretty good so I would probably just wait a year. Give Jay this year and part of the next, if he fails then its gonna be cheap to cut him loose after that.
  13. With the 3rd pick of the 2nd round, the Raiders select PJ Williams CB, FSU. (Adam you have him twice on the big board) The Jags are now on the clock.(ASHKUM)
  14. Jared Allen only did 13 and I'd say he was a pretty good player.
  15. With the 29th pick the Green Bay Fudge Packers select Eric Kendrick ILB, UCLA. The Saints are back on the board.(stinger)
  16. Height isn't an issue with Vic. Borland was 5'11", Bowman is 6', and Willis is 6'1". They were all in the low 240s which is just a 12 pound difference. Much like people were talking about Gregory being able to put on the weight, 12 pounds isn't much at all.
  17. With the 23 pick the LIons select TJ Clemmings OT, Pitt. The Cardinals are now on the clock.
  18. Luckily the Bears can draft both lol. A case could be made for both though....
  19. The 2nd one would be awful in my opinion, but If really like the first one. Im really coming around to Cooper/White in the first after all they've done in FA.
  20. I think Mason Foster is a starter and Jones/Bostic battle it out for the 2nd ILB spot so Im not a huge fan of grabbing 2 more ILBs in the draft....One I could see as perhaps they like Jones outside more and don't lie Bostic as much as I do.....Im aware that Foster is only on a one year deal as well but still, can't see them drafting 2.
  21. I for one buy into the staff being "Cutler fan boys", at least for this year anyway. I think we're having this discussion for nothing but if they really do want to trade for a qb Id love for it to be Mettenberger. I think hes gonna be a really good qb in this league. I wouldn't be surprised one bit if the Titans passed on Marriota because they do indeed like Met, like they been saying for awhile now.
  22. Texas could look to grab a WR, but I think Strong and DGB are reaches so.... With the 16th pick the Houston Texas select Trae Waynes CB, Michigan State.
  23. I simply cant buy into anything bleacher puts out.
  24. With the 11th pick of the 2015 NFL draft the Minnesota Vikings select Devante Parker WR, Louisville. The Cleveland Browns are on the clock.
