I go back to the whole "Kromers OL plays from the inside out" thing and think he should stay. But after looking at what the tackles have done this year I tend to agree.
-
Ill be keeping an eye on OL play. Vikings are 3rd in the league in sacks and after reading some stats the Bears OL outside of Long has been trash.
-
I'm not surprised by this at all actually. With the cap going up next year there's gonna be a lot of money floating around. Jay has all the talent in the world and some team might wanna try and get that outta him. Perhaps a tam with a good OL can make Jay look good.
-
What's even more head scratching is statistically Jay is actually having an even better season than last year. 2013 vs 2014 YPG- 238 vs 262 TD%- 5.4 vs 5.5 INT%- 3.4 vs 3.0 Rating- 89.2 vs 92.8 Comp%- 63.1 vs 66.1 The biggest difference however is... Sacks- 19 vs 23 (and that's with 2 more games played in 2013) Sack%-5.1 vs 6.5 (for reference the 2011 OL that featured Webb/C. Williams/Garza/Spencer/Louis with Carimi, Omiyale, and E.Williams also getting starts gave up 6.8%) And that all lead to Jays biggest problem.. Fumbles- 5 vs 10 To expand upon the OL stats....Bushrod and Mills played every game last year(so 32 starts between the 2) and gave up 8 sacks. This year through a combined 15 starts they've given up 7.5. Ola who has spent time at OT has given up 3.

http://espn.go.com/chicago/nfl/story/_/id/...ons-fan-twitter This team really is something else right now.

I'm game with Shanny, and it's not because it'd be catering to Jay. Shannahans offense is exactly what we should be doing already. It's still a WCO but it relies much more on the run game that what we've seen from Trestmans offense this year.
-
Why throws like that don't happen more consistently is beyond me....This isn't the same offense coaching wise as we saw last year.
-
More 3rd down underneath shit...ugh
-
Ha, as do I...Bad Ass Motherfuckers or Big Ass Motherfuckers...Or throw in Bennetts B and they can be Big Bad Ass Motherfuckers...Or throw in Fortes F and just space Mother Fuckers.

I know he practiced, but I haven't seen word that hes playing...Did I miss something? This is the latest I've seen.... Marquess Wilson (broken collarbone, I.R./return) resumed practicing Wednesday. Wilson has been sidelined since training camp, and isn't expected to be activated for Sunday's game against the Packers. The Bears have a three-week window to add him to their roster. Starting Mccown in fanduel this week, because hes super cheap. Hopefully the fact that he's sit for awhile like he did here will help him understand the offense. Evans has started to turn it on and ATL is bad against the pass, so McCown SHOULD have a pretty good game.

Copy and paste the link into google...boom. (Thanks to DABEARS for that helpful tip on all Trib articles)

Sad indeed....Bring on Harbaugh.(Change of scenery vs his team who is also tuning him out.)

C'mon man. Were talking about Seneca Wallace and Aaron Rodgers here. Wallace had 114 yards that game. Rodgers completed 1 pass for 27 yards, nearly 1/4th of what Wallace had. Were talking about 1 touchdown and the difference between Aaron Rodgers, who might go down as a top 5 QB of all time, and Seneca bleepin WaLoLace. I know it's a team game and all that jazz but the team McCown played was different that the team Jay has lost to 9 outta 10 times. Clay Matthews, who has been a monster against the Bears was also out of that game.
-
What I'm saying is he beat the packers by a touchdown against Seneca friggin Wallace....There's a pretty good chance Rodgers makes up for that 1 TD deficit had he been in the game.
-
More importantly is the fact that Aaron Rodgers threw 2 passes that game...Just sayin. McCowns QBR and Passer Rating that game was 77 and 90...In the Bears loss to GB where Cutler was the QB his QBR and Passer Rating was 88 and 103.
-
And yet we've scored the 2nd most points in the division.....Cutler gets a lot of blame, and yes he deserves most of it, but the D again appears to be the biggest problem.
-
Or we could be 1 game out of 2nd. #Optimism
-
Against the Chargers and Broncos no less. I actually watched both of those games and ya, Miami is legit and we all know the Pats are as well. Hell the Fins are 3 seconds away (Rodgers got that TD with 3 sec to go) from being 6-2 with wins over New England, Green Bay, and San Diego. BTW, the link isnt working for me so I can't touch on what's goin on in there.

Ya Lamar wasn't THAT bad this year. The pressures/hurries stat was brought up a lot this offseason. Last year Young lead the league, or was near the top of the league, but only had 1 sack or whatever...This year he's been finishing...and fishing a lot more.

From an NFL.com article... Barron has struggled at safety this season and generally underwhelmed after being taken seventh overall in the 2012 NFL Draft. With just three interceptions over two-plus seasons, the backstop -- ranked No. 66 at his position by Pro Football Focus -- hasn't lived up to his pedigree. From the last PFF ReFO Breakdown: Barron is yet to live up to his status as the seventh overall pick and he’ll want to forget this game in a hurry. The majority of his poor work came in run defense where he missed three tackles and made only one. Jerrick McKinnon had his number at the second level, evading him with ease on a number of occasions. In coverage he was targeted twice and gave up one catch for 28 yards. Signature Play: Pick any of the run plays from 10.18 to 9.09 in the third quarter as Barron missed the tackle on three straight plays. Sounds like he'd fit right in. Pass.

Mills will be moved to guard at least. I'd much rather have Ola stick outside. (Didn't watch the game so I'm not sure if this is real news).
-
Yuck....Despite what some say here the OL has been pretty weak (3rd most sacks given up) so this hurts even more.

Meh Phillips last 2 years as a HC were dreadful. 1-10, 9 games under .500 and yet he's still 21 games over .500 as a HC. So before his last 2 years he was 30 games over as a HC. I really haven't looked too much into potential coaching candidates yet since I shouldn't have to but his name was the first that popped up.
