Just now hearing about the play...What a clown.
-
In the other thread I talked about keeping Herring around as well. Wouldn't mind him as the next DC, almost preferably under Wade Phillips again like I said in the other thread.
-
If we get a new HC, which I'm kinda rooting for at this point, I'm hoping for Wade Phillips. Keep Herring on board as he's a Phillips disciple so that makes landing him a bit easier. Gimme a 3-4 D. SMC gets to be the player he should have been all along, Bostic is your coverage ILB, Jones/Sharpton both look like they can play the part of the run stuffing ILB, throw Willie Young opposite SMC. Bring in a veteran FS (Sorry Vereen) Snag another CB high in the draft to replace Peanut. Grab a hoss like Danny Shelton in the draft to play NT. Boom....I'm already ready to do mock draft lol

Sounds like a picked a good weekend to take a weekend retreat eh? Wow. On the surface the offensive numbers don't look THAT bad but my goodness. Just looking at the play by play on espn.com and ugh is it ever so frustrating. On 2 drives where they were hurt by penalties they had 3rd and long situations and what'd they do? short pass to Forte. I'm glad I wasn't watching because that is ever so frustrating to me. As a whole all the underneath stuff continues to bother me to no end, and it's impossible to know who to blame....Is it play calling? Is it Jay not giving receivers enough time to get open? Is it the OL not giving Jay enough time to let receivers get open? All I know is I'm ready for this bye week and I hope they spend a lot of time reevaluating whats going on and come back to shock the Pack. A win there and they're still just a game behind the Pack. As far as the "Trade B" stuff goes....I'd be open to it if Wilson comes in and looks like a solid #2.
-
Bears will catch a break with Chandler Jones and Jerod Mayo out so that raises their chances a bit. Despite what some have said here the OL has not played that great this season so Jones out should be huge. However if the D plays like they did against Ryan bleepin Tannahill then I can only imagine what Brady will do.
-
Not gonna happen. Sorry. And I'm saying that as a guy who's currently sour on Jay.
-
Their secondary is legit.
-
Don't wanna start a new thread for it, but am I the only one who wants to see Ola at RT next week?

Thing is, we were saying the same thing before the 49ers game. Some were saying we'd get blown out by the Falcons as well Football is a funny game. If not for a blocked FG the Pats would have lost to the 1-6 Jets at home... I'm not gonna pretend things don't look bleak but football really is any given Sunday.... I mean the Seahawks just lost to the previously 1-4 Rams. At this point nothing will surprise me. 3-6 almost seems likely but I wouldn't be shocked if they win 1 or both really.....With Fuller out though the chances of that happening become incredibly slimmer.

Well we will be on the road sooo.... lol

I hate myself more than I hate the bears right now...Seriously if Antonio Brown goes off tomorrow I'm smashing my computer. I now see why gambling is one of the leading causes of suicide (yes I know fanduel isn't technically gambling but still).

The dink and doink is getting old real fast. I don't know if it was the Miami secondary, which is damn good, that shut down the deep ball and forcing Jay to stay with underneath stuff or the play calling. All I know is when you have the horses we have they should consistently be taking shots down field and also utilizing the WRs size. We haven't seen very many jump balls this season and just letting our WRs go up and win those battles.

There are reports B called out Jay but Jen Lada is saying otherwise. Jen Lada @JenLada 1h1 hour ago Marshall when asked abt Cutler's confidence: Jay's a gunslinger. Jay's our guy. Jay's our leader. Jen Lada @JenLada 8m8 minutes ago When did this allegedly happen? “@si_nfl: Brandon Marshall calls Jay Cutler out after Bears loss.”
-
Yup, sounds like Trestman is losing control.

I blame Adam for not starting the game thread in time

I wait till Sunday morning to pick my lineup to be honest. Week 1 I made 7 different lineup changes throughout the week. My original lineup would have won me 300 dollars, my final lineup didn't win me shit. So I now make 1 lineup and just stick with my gut. I will say that I'm pretty much locked in on Carson Palmer against the Raiders as a cheap QB. He's been good while he's been out there, he's playing his old team, and the Raiders are awful.....Hoping going cheap on a QB will help maximize the rest of my lineup.

I'm all about seeing if the "Hayne train" can get it going in the NFL! Dude is a beast. I was calling for the Bears to sign Carlin Isles, but he was extremely raw, even in rugby. He didn't make it with the Lions. Hayne, who's not quite as fast as Isles has the vision and shiftiness to stand a better chance at making it. He's got the tenacity as a runner to possibly even be a RB project. Probably gets signed to a practice squad to start out with but he's worth a flyer IMO.
-
I had the Lions D who was cheap for whatever reason and they did work scoring me 21 points....6 points outta Eli and 9 out of a high priced Julio Jones killed me.
-
Eli was my starter on fanduel....nuff said. =/

Well...That was satisfying. B and Alshon look healthy again which is great to see. Forte with back to back 10+ reception games, he leads the league in receptions now. MartyB didn't have a great game, but man, I love when he gets the ball, he's so tough to bring down and resilient after the catch. Defense was fantastic. Love the Sharpton signing, wouldn't be surprised if he's kept around for a bit. Greene look impressive as well. DL played great, Willie Young and Stephen Paea are both in the top 10 in sacks this year which is awesome. Can't say I'm too surprised by it either. Bring on the Dolphins. (Also, I will be staying out of this weeks game thread like I did for this game...Cuz superstition)
-
I was referring to Cutler who you said was 0-1
-
But Andrew Luck has 8 turnovers...He obviously sucks.
-
1-1 in the playoffs sir. Even the year the Bears and Rex went 13-3 he had a 4.2 INT%. Jay hasn't been above 3.4 the last 4 years.
-
Yikes. So Greene-Williams-Jones might be our starting LBs?? And our nickle CB might be Al-Louis Jean or Vereen? Against a high powered Falcons offense?? That should be a lot of fun.
