  1. Damn, play should be overturned.
  2. Not that it probably would have mattered but that's some BS on the delay of game.
  3. This returning deep out the end zone has to stop.
  4. The red zone INT looms large as Tampa loses by 2. Lovie/McCown have now lost to a backup QB and a 3rd string QB. McCowns final line- 16/21 179 yards, 0 passing TDs, 2 rushing TDs, 1 INT....2 Straight games under 200 yards.
  5. Sounds like Alshon and BMarsh will play....Hopefully they can be effective. Roddy White was dealing with injuries all last year like this and wasn't the same player at all
  6. He was looking pretty good....Till he just threw a red zone INT...oops.

Ha, I wont go that far...I think theres a chance if AJ and BM are out there and legit healthy

    Roster moves

Brad Biggs ‏@BradBiggs 8m #Bears have promoted WRs Josh Bellamy and Chris Williams and C Taylor Boggs from practice squad to 53 man roster. Yup, just as I thought.

Hayden was one of the final cuts, but was brought back on the 2nd.....Fiametta I believe was a healthy inactive, so they may not even plan on using a traditional FB, which is odd seeing as they resigned him this year.....Fales was not.

With Alshon, Marshall, and Morgan all iffy it's somethin they gotta do. Before those guys are cleared Holmes would be the only healthy WR on the roster. Same with Garza going down. If DLP gets hurt we don't have a center.
  11. JayGlazer @JayGlazer Texas law enforcement handing down indictment today on Vikings RB Adrian Peterson on charges of injury to a child. Peterson has been cooperating w law enforcement. He now had to turn himself into custody NFL Network reporting he's been deactivated for this weeks game..... Vikings, who looked pretty good week 1, could be in a whole lotta trouble.

Comcast SportsNet @CSNChicago · 49m Report: #Bears waive Fales, cut Fiammetta and Hayden I'm guessing we see Boggs, Williams, and Bellamy called up from the practice squad. Perhaps just one of the WRs and Frey/Al Louis-Jean/Terrance Mitchell. Hoping Fales makes it through waivers and gets put on the practice squad.
  13. Ya, even with both out there it was gonna be tough. With 1 or both out it's gonna be ugly. Morgan is hurting as well. If all 3 end up being out then Holmes would be the only healthy guy on the roster. How does the practice squad work? Would they have to release someone to bring up Williams/Bellamy?
  14. All this talk of Marshall and Jeffery being out scares the shit out of me though....Hopefully they're just giving them extended rest.
  15. It is indeed scary, but it is indeed winnable.....San Frans offense has weapons but they aren't great. They were held without a point in the 2nd half against an awful Cowboys D(Or one that should be awful anyway). As long as Jay doesn't go all Tony Romo they can beat em.
  16. Cutler 9th????!!!!! WHAT!!!???? These guys obviously haven't gotten the news that Cutler sucks!!!

    Play Review

I'm not putting all the blame on Bennett here, I'd admit the window was a little to tight for my liking, but it's just not as "Laughable" as before in my eyes. He wasn't starring down Bennett, but as soon as he looked over he saw his arms up and delivered. It was a real nice play by Williams. He saw Bennetts arms up and broke towards him as the ball was being thrown.

    Play Review

So I went back and watched the Kyle Williams interception (To hear the boos Alaskan alluded to, I'm sure there were some there but they certainly weren't overwhelming), and there is a part of it that isn't being brought up. I can't find it in the online highlights of the game but I rewatched it on my DVR and it's there (Perhaps Adam has it available)....... Martellus Bennett waves his hands asking for the ball before Jay throws it. Now I'll probably just be called a Jay apologist for saying this but after seeing that MartyB deserves some of the blame on that one. If I'm the QB and I'm scrambling then see a receiver with his hands in the air I probably make that throw right away and trust my receiver....But then again I'm not a QB lol If anyone has it DVRd or has access to make the highlight from the actual game it happened at the 8min mark of the 4th Q or at the 2 hour 36 min mark of the telecast.
  19. Brad Biggs ‏@BradBiggs 31m Given injuries on offensive line #Bears are expected to re-sign veteran Eben Britton per NFL source. Garza and Slausson to miss a few weeks.....Luckily I thought DLP and Ola played well.
  20. I would sure hope so, typically 1st round picks start.
  21. Certainly not saying he has to "Win" and the comparisons won't be completely valid, but if he's the player some here think he is then he should have SOME success. Week 1 he was dreadful, I got to watch the game on the computer and the 2 INTs were laughable (Even went on a Bucs message board and they had the Benny Hill music playing) and there were 2 other plays where he missed guys open for TDs. New system or not, if he's a good QB he shouldn't be getting booed like he was. It's gonna be interesting to follow.
  22. Well Vincent Jackson is a monster. Last 2 years he's had years similar to or better than what Marshall and Jeffery put up. Brandon Myers has put up similar numbers to Bennett. Mike Evans another 6'5" WR was the 7th overall pick and has potential to be another guy similar to Jackson/Marshall/Jeffery. Austin Seferain-Jenkins, yet another 6'5" guy went 38th overall and he gives McCown 4 huge receivers. I'll give you the whole first year in the system bit though, but really, if hes the guy some people think he is then he should succeed in year 1, the talent around him is there.

    Play Review #2

Good stuff on all this Adam. Briggs clearly looked like a weak link out there and I'm not sure that will change.
  24. There's no doubt he's gonna be the QB the next 3 years. McCown is a JAG (Just another guy). McCown doesn't quite have the same weapons but he does indeed have weapons. Jeff Tedford, their offensive coordinator, has gotten a lot of the same buzz Trestman got as a QB guru (Coached 6 1st round QBs in college, including Aaron Rodgers) If McCown is more than just another guy than he'll show something in Tampa. Through 1 game he was getting booed half way through until he picked it up in garbage time.
