Thomas actually had the best rating against the run in the nation. I'm now 100% locked in on Solomon Thomas as my pick.

Can teams even afford to double team a new defensive lineman with Goldman and Hicks also in there? With their size and ability to rush the passer this defensive line is gonna be a nightmare for opposing teams if you add another stud like Thomas or Allen. I'll take the more explosive player in Thomas. IMO Thomas has the higher ceiling whereas Allen has the higher floor. I think on a line with 2 monsters like Hicks and Goldman Thomas will reach that higher ceiling.

Burnett is strictly an OLB. Bears could probably use an OLB, but I think another lineman is more of a need.
-
Yeah Thomas has really been growing on me. Still kinda want Adams, but I would have zero problem with Thomas at 3.

Believe it or not, if ya go by 40 times, Meredith is actually the 2nd fastest. White- 4.35 Meredith- 4.42 Wheaten- 4.45 Wright- 4.61 Also....Not so sure we draft a WR unless its late or there is a high value guy there in the 4th. You got the 4 listed above, Wilson who has shown signs when healthy, and Braverman who could be developed into a solid slot guy.
-
Love it. Dude still has loads of upside and when he is on he is a really good slot guy. While there isn't a clear #1, there is loads of upside between White, Wheaten, Wright, and Meredith.
-
The more I read about this guy, the more I think we might have just gotten a guy who has just kinda slipped through the cracks. https://m.facebook.com/ChiefConcernsKansasC...617039538339990 I know all that is from 2013, but still reading it is encouraging.

I didn't want a QB at 3 and still don't want a QB at 3. This is not the year LIMo.I would prefer they wait till the 3rd and hope for Webb or Peterman but wouldn't have a real problem taking 1 in the 2nd.

I know pff gets pood on here, but Prince was their 25th ranked corner last year.
-
I really wouldn't be surprised if they are just high on Meredith and wanna see what he can do as a full time starter.
-
Solid move IF he stays healthy and that is a big IF

I would love Poe or Hawkins. I think Goldman is versatile enough to kick outside and roll with Goldman-Poe-Hicks. That's a whole lot of man meat up front, but despite their size, they can all pressure the QB. I would hate to have to deal with all that size AND have to worry about the speed of Floyd and other blitzes.

He's gotta be good for sure. I happen to be a big fan of Meredith's and think his arrow is still pointing up. Remember, this guy was a college QB just 2 years ago, and he just broke out for nearly 900 yards. I don't think he will ever be a true #1 but I happen to think he could be a good #2. I feel the same way about Wheaton. Right now I think we have 3 #2s. The question is is 3 #2s just as good as having a #1 and shit else.
-
Some highlights for ya. As far as bringing in Prior, I think that depends on what the org thinks of Meredith. Is he simply a guy who produced because he was the only guy out there or were his near 900 yards legit? If they think he is legit, I'm not sure they push him back to #4 behind Pryor, White, and Wheaton(if they view Wheaton as the guy he was before injury).
-
You can't say that with certainty yet.
-
Here's some nice nuggets on Wheaton.... Wheaton's gross numbers aren't wholly representative of what he brings to the table. Sure, his 749 yards last season ranked just 48th in the NFL, but his 17.0 yards per catch ranked 10th among players with at least 25 catches. He was fourth in the NFL in that category among players with at least 40 catches. Additionally, over 70 percent of Wheaton's receptions were good for first downs last season. That, too, is one of the highest percentages in the league. Finally, Wheaton dropped just two passes last season, making his 2.3 percent drop percentage the third-lowest on the Steelers among players with at least 50 targets (bonus points if you can guess No. 1).

I guess Gase liked him so there is that..... Impending free agent TE Dion Sims says he's been told by Dolphins coach Adam Gase that the team wants him back as a starter. "He told me he wants me back as a No. 1," Sims said. "I want to be back. I have obviously proven myself to be a starting tight end in the league and want to continue in that role. I’ve done some great things this year and improved a lot." We don't doubt what Sims was told, but Sims isn't suddenly going to be a big-time pass catcher. He has 74 grabs across 56 career games, and averaged a woeful 9.4 yards per catch. He's primarily a blocker. Tight end is a position of need for the Dolphins after Jordan Cameron busted in monumental fashion.

I like this. I remember drafting Wheaten in a league last year because he was supposed to have a "Huge year." Then injuries happened and the Steelers had quite a few solid WRs on their team and he simply got lost in the shuffle. The WR corps is gonna live and die by Kevin White being what he is supposed to be. If he is, I think you could live with what they have now if they add a TE not named Dion Sims.

I'm not getting anywhere near the ledge till I see how Glennon and this years draft class performs. Does it suck they've missed out on Gilmore/Bouye? Absolutely, but the reality is there are 31 other teams in this league.
-
Wayyyy too early to say that. I think this defense has a chance to be pretty damn good depending on how the rest of the off-season shakes out.

Said to be 19 mill guaranteed which is not bad at all. So locked in to like 5 mill after this year. -
Demps is more of a FS anyway so even if you think Adams is a AS that works.
-
Since becoming a starter 4 years ago, Demps has 18 takeaways and 32 pass deflections. Last 2 years Amos has 2 and 6.

Fangio is versatile when it comes to safety. I think a safety is a safety in his system. I wouldn't rule out Adams at all. I still wouldn't be scared away from Hooker either. Dude is special.
