Hard to argue with any of that....I'll add 1 more team to the list.... Lovie Smiths Tampa Bay Bucs. Didn't draft a single defensive player. With the Mike Evans and Serefain-Jenkins picks to go along with Vincent Jackson their receiver core all of a sudden looks a lot like the Bears receiver core....Actually, it's bigger, they have 3 6'5" weapons now, so Josh now has his big weapons to work with like he did here in Chicago. Should Doug Martin not return to his rookie for I also love the Charles Sims pick. He, just like Forte, is a great receiver out of the backfield. They have the parts on offense to mimic what the Bears did with Josh, but will the coaching make the difference

Ya, gotta be some sort of popularity contest. He was 2nd in the league in rushing and 4th in all purpose yards (1 of the guys ahead of him is a kick returner). He's not real flashy, but he obviously gets the job done. I could care less about these rankings.
-
Im not sure what he means actually. By position ourlads has him listed 4th best.......By underclassmen ranks he's ranked 30th....I'm not sure what he's ranked overall, but they don't seem to like him as much as other places.

Evan Silva of Rotoworld gave us a B.... Overview: The Bears return virtually every key piece from an offense that finished 2013 No. 2 in points scored, so GM Phil Emery went to work on his patchwork defense in this draft. He got a Week 1 starter in Fuller, and likely year-one contributors in run-stopper Ferguson and three-technique penetrator Sutton. A versatile corner-safety hybrid and value pick where he went, Vereen is a sleeper to play meaningful snaps as a rookie. Noted measurables drafter Emery set aside the spreadsheet and trusted the tape for his Carey, Fales, and Sutton picks. Leno was a value addition so late in the seventh and could push LG Matt Slauson sooner rather than later. Chicago has emerged from an active free agency period and the draft with few remaining needs. I thought this draft attacked holes, added depth where necessary, and procured plenty of upside. Grade: B

For what was there I'd give them a B+. I thought with Donald gone they shoulda grabbed a S but Phil apparently likes Conte and wants to give him a shot at winning his job. Fuller looks the part of a shutdown corner and that is always something a team needs. He drew comps to Tillman, so getting a year to learn from Tillman should be huge. Depending on the matchups I can see Jennings playing the slot with Fuller and Tillman on the outside. Depending on where you look they did really well with the DTs they drafted. Ourlads, which is run by a former scout and actually provides the media with scouting reports on every player had Ego and Sutton ranked 4th and 5th in their DT rankings. Yes, Nix was ranked first, but the fact that they brought him in for a workout and passed on him tells me he wasn't a fit. Jernigan was ranked 3rd but he sadly went off the board a few picks before us. Carey was kind of a meh pick for me but if they saw the need for a real good backup they did just that with Carey. Ourlads has him ranked as the top overall RB in the draft. Everyone here knows I was hyping up Vereen as a mid round gem and I of course think he's just that. Love his size/strength/speed combo. Yes his short arms are a bit of a concern, but I look at Pryor, who a lot here wanted, and see that his arms are just an inch longer while Vereen is an inch taller. So in a way it all kinda evens out. Fales I think is a perfect fit for a WCO. Good, quick release, leads his receivers well, great accuracy, not exactly a statue in the pocket, smart, goes through his progressions. Working with Trestman I think he has the chance to either A. Push Cutler outta town in 3 years or B. Should Cutler get hurt and he gets a chance to play he might end up being good trade bait. O'Donnell was the top ranked punter in the draft, maybe a bit of a reach, but as a 6R pick it doesn't hurt to get a guy who will contribute and fills a need. Leno Jr. is a versatile OL project for Kromer to get his hands on. Britton is back, but only for a year, this guy provides solid depth for now and into the future. Kromer has done more with less. He's a guy who likes to get out to the 2nd level and sounds like a perfect fit for what we do schematically. Adding Christian Jones as a UDFA could also be a real good get if the Bears do end up moving Bostic to the outside to replace Briggs next year. He was one of the few LBs I actually liked in the draft. Not sure if anyones gonna touch Lyerla, but if someone adds him, I'm hoping it's the Bears, that'd just be the cherry on top of what I thought to be a fine draft.

Add Ryan Groy, a guard outta Wisconsin to the list...NFL.com has him listed as a 3-4 round player.
-
The MLB crowd will be happy, Christian Jones was signed. Crazy to think he's a UDFA.
-
I loves me some Boise State prospects!
-
Craig Loston as well.
-
Janis to the Pack, damn....Didn't really see the need, but I think he'll be a good player in a year or 2. Tevin Reese as well
-
Interesting, I see him as the opposite, a guy who will be a force against the run and get lost as a pass rusher.
-
That wouldn't be a bad pick either...Ahmad Dixon would be a nice SS pick as well.
-
Still want Lyerla....Or maybe Jeff Janis....Wouldn't hate Christian Jones just to please the "we need a LB" crowd. Probably couldn't pass on Antonio Richardson or Seantrel Henderson if they're still there though.
-
Gonna be a lot of interesting UDFAs out there it looks like. Shocked to see some of the guys who are still available.....If somehow Tiny Richardson falls to us I'd be all over him to compete with Mills.
-
Averaged 47.1 yards per punt which would have been 7th in the NFL. Podlesh averaged a league worst 40.6
-
Buttheads kid must not be any good. Those few highlights they showed looks like he has a massive leg.
-
A punter!!!! Hurray!!!
-
C'mon Lyerla!....Might be able to wait till the 7th though MAYBE.
-
More McCown like than Cutler. Weak arm, but intelligent and incredibly accurate. Completed 72% of his balls 2 years ago.
-
Greene either really, I think he still has upside. Hard for any LB to look good in front of that line last year.
-
David Fales it is....I can dig it. I've liked him throughout the draft process.
-
I still like Jeff Mathews as that 7R pick or possibly even UDFA Or possibly Fales. Boyd wouldn't be bad either. Sure he got to throw to some pro WRs in college and that did help, but he'd be throwing to some beast WRs here too.
-
Cuz they're all garbage lol Wouldn't hate Jones but not real interested in Skov/Bullough/Smallwood.
-
Yea, but there's also guys like Jeff Janis and L'Damian Washington who have bot speed and size. 40/20/10 yard splits Herron-4.35/2.56/1.58 5'9" 35 inch vert Janis- 4.37/2.50/1.50 6'3" 37 inch vert If I had to take a WR I want Jannis.
