adam
Could've easily went UDFA, but always good to bring in competition. He is definitely an athlete: Set the Hurricanes' single-season record with a 47.1-yard-per-punt average after recording 53-47.1-L71-19 and 79-63.1-37 on kickoffs. Did 23 repetitions of 225 pounds on the bench press at the NFL Scouting Combine -- more than six tight ends, 19 running backs, 21 defensive linemen and all 37 wide receivers. adam
I'm a little uneasy thinking about a Miami punter kicking in Soldier's Field in Nov and Dec. I'm not too worried about that. All kickers have to adjust to the conditions.
ASHKUM BEAR
I'm not too worried about that. All kickers have to adjust to the conditions. He transferred after 3 years at Cincinnati, so he wasn't always in the balmy Miami area.
AZ54
We drafted a punter who knows hang time. Guy can cover on kick returns pretty good too so not bad having him as the last line of defense.
